6/12/15 received a call from client. She requested this agency locate an individual for service of legal documents. Associate stated to client AIS is also able to serve her when located. On 6/15/15 left message for client regarding subject...

located, please ask attorney to send documents. 6/22/15 Client contacted this office stated documents needed to be picked up at courthouse and were ready for pickup (which she did not state that AIS would have to pick up the documents to be served during our initial conversation). Dispatched AIS associate to Summit County Courthouse to pickup documents. The documents were not actually ready; therefore, AIS had to make an additional trip to the courthouse to finally pickup documents. AIS associate then traveled to subject address to serve documents (subject not home/no answer). Spoke with Client regarding update and additional attempts will be made; however, if she cannot be served after three attempts, if she wants to continue services she will have to pay additional fees (Client was advised during our initial conversation that a limited number of attempt are made to serve documents to subject). 6/24/15 AIS associate traveled to subject address again, a white male (subject's husband) stated subject left the state and went to the Carolina's and was not returning. 6/26/15 call to client regarding status and client stated that was not true. Subject is in town per her facebook posts. 6/26/15 AIS associate traveled back to Subject location - (no vehicles present/no answer).
6/27/15 call to client regarding status/still no answer. Client then requested that AIS travel to event on 4th of July weekend, which additional fees will be required for additional service. We cannot continue to travel to locate subject for service. Client then spoke with owner of Accurate Investigative Services-Mr. Thomas ** F[redacted] whom stated also additional fees were required to continue this matter. Client then stated she wanted the documents returned to her. As a courtesy AIS associate traveled to clients attorney to drop off documents. Closed file.

I do not find the response from Accurate Investigative Services acceptable. No one from AIS ever stated the $175 paid would be for a limited amount of trips to the courthouse or attempts to serve the subject. After one failed attempt to serve the subject, Megan informed my wife that, at some point, additional monies would be required for additional attempts. Per my wife, Megan simply stated that for $175, they would serve the documents. My wife made certain to tell Megan that this subject would be evasive and difficult to serve. This proved to be the case. My wife indicated Mr. Thomas F[redacted] was disrespectful when he spoke with her and even though he was provided with our attorney's address and could have simply taken the documents to our attorney's office, Mr. F[redacted] intentionally opened the documents so they had to be reprocessed with the courts, which further delayed the process for us. This was unprofessional and we feel it was an intentional retaliatory act on Mr. F[redacted]' behalf. Any statement by AIS indicating they provided information indicating their fees in the Revdex.com is simply not true and simply stated to cover themselves. While AIS was able to locate the subject, we regret using them for processing serving and have learned a valuable lesson. We will have our attorney handle this in the future and we will share our unfortunate experience with AIS with friends, family and co-workers. It is my hope that AIS will provide future potential customers with more details of the limitations of their services and the fees involved.
