Called Accurate to do an inspection on a manufactured home we were buyingWhat a waste of $I would not use them again or refer them to anyone Appoint was set up for Tuesday 6/30/at 01:PMThe person doing the inspection, Bob (owner)' showed up & 1/hrs late 2;PM and hadn't been aware of the appointment until I called to find out why he hadn't comeI know sometimes things don't go right & schedules get messed up so I gave Bob the benefit of doubtHe spent a couple of hours inspecting the homeHe informed me that all the roof boards on the outside edge of the roof needed to be replaced but no problem he could do that, he said the person that put the roof on years ago should have replaced them & that when they laid the shingles in the valleys they did it wrong "must have been someone with a 3rd grade education" Bob quotedBob informed me that the hot water tank was replaced with one that wasn't approved for a manufactured home, it would have to be replaced as it was a safety hazard & our insurance company would not insure the homeBob also informed me that the return air in the floor duct work for the furnace could be covered up as it was not necessaryWhile we were talking I told Bob that I was having a mechanical inspection (air conditioning & furnace), Bob asked by who, so I told him who it was & Bob said "they'll just want to sell you a furnace"Bob also told me the heat tape was old & patched together & also that the home needed to be re leveledWe were getting ready to run away from this placeBob said he would go over all his notes, have the inspection typed up, in the mail to me by Wednesday 7/01/or no later that Thursday 7/02/& that he personally would email me a copy so I wouldn't have to wait for the U.SMail
We had our mechanical inspection (air conditioning & furnace) the following Tuesday 7/07/& hadn't heard or seen anything from Bob at AccurateThe AC & furnace inspector said everything was in good working order even the hot water tank which I will get to in a minuteThey also said if I covered up the return air that I would over heat the furnace & burn it upThey went over all the mechanical & electrical components of both the air & furnace, gave me a few tips on some routine maintenance that needed to be done & they didn't even try to sell me a furnace
Seeing as I had not heard from Bob at accurate yet I decided to check out the hot water tank & the roof, here is what I found: Got up & walked all over the roof, gently lifted shingles in several different areas & found no bad boards, also found no problem with the valleysThe owner gave me the receipt showing that the roof had been replaced in I then wrote down make & model number from hot water tank, went on line & looked up the manufacturer (Bradford White), found that it was an approved hot water tank for a manufactured home & that it was made in June of Found out that the heat tape had been replaced this past winter (2015), owner again verified with receipt
Here it is 7/23/& I still haven't seen or heard anything from Accurate Mobile Home ServiceI did call Accurate the week of 07/06/& was informed that Bob had been sick & they would have the inspection sent out that day, STILL WAITINGI called again on 07/17/& got voice mail, left message that I would like a refund of $& to give me a call, again STILL WAITING No I would not use them again or refer them to anyone
