Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:Accurate Plumbing response:It is understandable that this customer is upset that repairs were not completed on the date that weoriginally scheduledHowever, we made every attempt to complete repairs with access that we hadavailable to usSorry, but no effort was made to complete the repairs. The customer was extremely disrespectful and unwilling to work with us.As he states in his complaint, "When I called I was understandably upset ", what he fails to mentionwas the way that he acted and spoke to the employees at our companyAfter being told that the plumbers would not return without explanation I was heated, but I never used any kind
abusive languageI wanted the plumbers to return because it was 1:pm and they were scheduled to be on site between 12:and 3:pm.He also doesn't mentionthat our office manager attempted to re-schedule the repairs for the following dayHe declined.Actually, they offered to come right back to repair one unit but not all because they spilt the plumbers up to different job sites.
I wanted them to return to complete the job they were quoted to doMy perogative to decline based on their poor performance.Upon arrival; the shutoffs were not marked as they were supposed to be, tenants were not notifiedas they were supposed to be, and he was not onsite as he had originally stated he would be whenthe repairs were scheduled.
All shut-offs were flagged as agreed, all tenants were notified a week in advance (I can't help that two tenants did not comply),
I notified the company by email that I had a business meeting and would not be available as originally planned and ask if it was ok (they confirmed it was - I have their emailed response)
A number of the units that needed repairs had access to under thebuildings from the inside of the unitsWe were not able to gain access to all units. Two of the four that needed access were from tenants that did not comply, one was not even addressed as the tenants were within the home and was never contacted.
I check directly after they leftThe other two units did not need any access to the homes and were left unrepaired.Hose bib repairs were completed to one unit before we were told by Mr*** "do not returnto complete remaining items".
I did tell them not to come back after they refused to come back when they were still contracted for the time (- pm)Again my perogative to not continue work when treated uncooperatively from the employees and the owner of Accurate Plumbing (especially after being called a "***" by the owner)
This is a portion of the fees ($164.00) that he is being charged for.The other charges were accrued from the return trip that evening, called in after hoursWe werecontacted by a property management company that rents to the unit that was worked on thatmorningThe tenant reported not having water once they returned home that eveningI attemptedto contact Mr*** to let him know that there was an Issue at the complex and it was a HOAissueI did not hear back from him in regards to the issueI was contacted again by the propertymanagement that their tenant was still without waterAfter another failed attempt to Mr***,I left a message on his voicemail that I was dispatching a technician to get water back on tothe building, as I was not going to leave the tenant without waterHe never returned my calls, oracknowledge the voice mailRepairs were made to the failing shut off valve on the building, andwater was restored to the buildingThis is what accumulated the charges ($366.25) over the hosebib charges. This is completely unacceptableThe property manager did call me as did Accurate Plumbing (who left a message telling me there was a problem and I had to find another plumber to do the workNo call back was requested by the companyI can provide the voice mail if neededThat was the only message they left)The unit effected was not approved by the HOA for work to be done and what Accurate Plumbing fails to mention is that the reason the water was shut off was due to a "weatherization" they performed on the adjacent unit and the HOA was never informed of the work done on the adjacent unitIn other words they caused the problem and now they want to charge the HOA for their mistakeAfter hours and on their time when they were clear that they would not do the workTheir own plumber who was on site and made these repairs informed me of this as I met him while he was doing the workI refuse to pay for unauthorized work that was initially caused by the company anyway. This customer was not charged for anything other than the actual time and material for workpreformed.Becca B***, Office ManagerSincerely,*** ***

When we went out there was water found in the
hallway, however there should be no plumbing in that areaAfter spending time
looking over the home's plumbing, the plumber onsite (the company owner) called
the home ownerHe explained that the leak was coming from the HVAC system and
that he
needed to call a heating and air company to come make the repairs- He
told the customer that he would charge him a discounted rate for the time he
spent onsite, which actually saved the customer a lot of money considering he
was going to have the house repiped for no reason. The customer called after receiving the
invoice and disputed the cost since he originally called for a free estimateI
explained that the work performed at the home was billable since there was no
need for the estimate.Since this complaint was filed With Revdex.com the
invoice has been paid in fullA family member called in and paid the invoice
after stating that she was paying off open balances for the customer after he
unexpectedly passed away

This is the letter sent to the owner of Accurate Plumbing: To Robert S[redacted], I have received your letter and bill. Again we have no intention of paying the bill. We hired you to repair six units for $600 (#10, 13, 16, 21, 22, and 31). You repaired one and want nearly half for work done. You failed to knock on all doors and missed a unit (#10) with tenants waiting at home for the work to be done. You failed to make the repairs that did not require any access to the underside of the homes (#16 and 22). Your employees walked off site saying that would be back and had no intention of returning as noted by your secretary when called. You, yourself, insulted me with profanity and name calling after I was reasonably upset with your performance. All water mains were marked and I met with two of your employees a week before and they failed to note the unit numbers, which lead to numerous unnecessary phone calls. I find this unusual since every vendor beside your crew that I deal with actually write down information about the jobs they quote. You are charging for an additional repair after calling me to notify me that I must find another plumber and I still have the voice mail saved, then came and did the work anyway without approval on a unit (#35) that was not part of the original quote. Unfortunately for you the bank that asked you to weatherize the adjacent home (#34), which caused the need for the repair to #35, was not authorized by the board of the Home Owners Association. All work on common elements without emergency needs must be approved by the board before work can be done. This did not happen and there was no need to weatherize the home as it sold a month later. We want the entire bill erased. We are holding the voice mail indicated as evidence of their decision to do the work unauthorized. We have no intention of ever paying for something we did not order or approve.

This is a portion of the fees ($164.00) that he is being charged for.The other charges were accrued from the return trip that evening, called in after hours. We werecontacted by a property management company that rents to the unit that was worked on thatmorning. The tenant reported not having water once they returned home that evening. I attemptedto contact Mr. [redacted] to let him know that there was an Issue at the complex and it was a HOAissue. I did not hear back from him in regards to the issue. I was contacted again by the propertymanagement that their tenant was still without water. After another failed attempt to Mr. [redacted],I left a message on his voicemail that I was dispatching a technician to get water back on tothe building, as I was not going to leave the tenant without water. He never returned my calls, oracknowledge the voice mail. Repairs were made to the failing shut off valve on the building, andwater was restored to the building. This is what accumulated the charges ($366.25) over the hosebib charges. This is completely unacceptable. The property manager did call me as did Accurate Plumbing (who left a message telling me there was a problem and I had to find another plumber to do the work. No call back was requested by the company. I can provide the voice mail if needed. That was the only message they left). The unit effected was not approved by the HOA for work to be done and what Accurate Plumbing fails to mention is that the reason the water was shut off was due to a "weatherization" they performed on the adjacent unit and the HOA was never informed of the work done on the adjacent unit. In other words they caused the problem and now they want to charge the HOA for their mistake. After hours and on their time when they were clear that they would not do the work. Their own plumber who was on site and made these repairs informed me of this as I met him while he was doing the work. I refuse to pay for unauthorized work that was initially caused by the company anyway. This customer was not charged for anything other than the actual time and material for workpreformed.Becca B[redacted], Office ManagerSincerely,[redacted]
