Extremely poor business owner, very rude, cancelled my termite contact that I've had in good standing for 7 years because of a scheduling conflictIve had an always current and in good standing termite contract with this company. It is renewed every spring and they send a tech out to inspect upon renewal. Received my annual call from them in early Feb, the lady stated a date, 2/27, that they would be in my area, and asked if that would be a good day to come, I replied: "well, possibly...it's hard to say being so far out (I work full time and have to leave work to meet the tech for this every year, so it just depends how busy things are at work as to when I can leave). Please call me prior to check and confirm before that date and I'll have a better idea of my schedule". She kindly replied: "Shure! No problem, we'd do that anyways" They have always given a courtesy reminder call every year, as do all professional service companies who are making housecalls. Well, I never got the call, as such, was not around when the tech was at my house on 2/27. Received a phone call, man stated that he was at my house for inspection. I apologized and told him I didn't get a call and was at work, I could probably get my wife to be at the house later in a couple hours, let me call her and I will call you right back. The man kinda flipped his lid and proceeded to be very rude and irrational and threatened to cancel my contract, and said that they don't call to confirm appointments and I made the appointment so I should've been here. I tried to calm the man down and tried to get this worked out but he only acted more irate and finally said "ok, we're cancelling your contract" and hung up on me. I was utterly stunned at this man's behavior towards a customer?!?! This guy shouldn't even have a job! I immediately proceeded to call the office to report the experience I had with out of line field tech. Boy, I was in total shock to find out that the service guy with the hot temper and unacceptable customer skills was non other than the owner of the company!!! Are you kidding me!?!? I also found out that he treats his employees as poorly as his customers and several employees had left the company recently. I also learned that a sell of the company fell through and they could be closing down very soon. So this guy was going to hit me with a contract renewal and then close the business??? How fraudulent is that? I tried a couple of time to even call the owner back and he won't take my calls. I don't think he can just break the contract because he got mad for his company dropping the ball setting up appointments. I guess their contracts aren't worth the paper they're printed on. I don't know what else I can do. I'd really like to get to the bottom of this. Having a termite contract is very important to me as a homeowner and affects my homeowner's insurance and resale of my house. I've never filed a complaint before with the Revdex.com, yet I've never experienced customer service this poor in my life, utterly terrible. I highly recommend if you need a solid company to stand behind a contract that you go anywhere but here.Desired SettlementI don't really want anything from this company except a phone call from the owner and a huge apology for his behavior towards me. I suppose after 7 years my contract is invalid, but I'm not sure? I'd really just like a better explanation. Mainly, I just want others to steer clear of this guy and his company and understand that they are providing contracts that are probably not going to be any good in the very near future. Better to go with a more trusted bigger name company for this type of thing.Business Response the customer made an appontment with our company which we kept. we called him to find out what was the problem. he stated an employee told him we would call him. This did not happen. We do not have the time to remind our customers of their service appointments. I offered to return that day at 2 pm at no additional charge another appointment he set. But he could not promise someone would be there. When are we going to get people to be responsible for their lives. We have done over 100 inspestions with customers in the last 30 days no one has had this excuse for bad behavior or miss3ed an appointment. When he signed our contracts he warranted his complete cooperation. He can call us and give us his assurance that this will never happen again or he will be canncelled. I am a business man and a customer must undersatnd the cost of no shows. We are one of the few companies that guarantee thier prices for 10 years and we do not increase our prices to accomadate irresponsible customers who can not remember their appointments. If he wants his service he can call and setup an appointment in the next 15 days or find a different baby sitter.Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I'm a senior level manager of over 90 employees and a college graduate, I hardly think I'm in need of Mr. [redacted]'s "babysitting" service. I believe his response paints a pretty good picture of his customer service manners, very unprofessional and rude. A couple of points though:Point #1-He did offer to come back that day at 2pm, that much is true. I told him "that would probably be fine, but let me call my wife and make sure she could be home by 2 and I will call you right back to confirm." Well, that was when things got rude and ugly with Mr. [redacted] and led to him verbally cancelling my contract and hanging up on me. Was I out of line with the suggestion I made? Does that overstep my boundaries as a customer and constitute "bad behavior" and being uncooperative? I was trying to work with the guy and he was totally irrational. That's a fact. I understand he's running a business, he needs to understand his customers are often professionals with very busy schedules themselves and it's often difficult to be home in the middle of day when he wants them to be. Those pressure tactics for setting appointments are not appreciated, and customers shouldn't be forced to make appointments around his schedule without any consideration of theirs. Point #2- Although I didn't really care for my date and time being picked for me on my contract renewal for their convenience, I was willing to work with them, I just asked the girl setting the appointment to touch base with me the week of the appointment to confirm I could meet the service tech at that time. She pleasantly agreed (as they have done in the past, regardless of what Mr. [redacted] states). He even told me on the phone since I filed this complaint that she probably did say that to me, but that is not their normal policy and they don't babysit customers. Whatever. I also learned from him that she lost her job so you can fill in the blanks. Bottom line: a company's guarantee for a contract is only as good as the man's character who's running the show. I have very little faith that this man or his company would fulfill the contract in the event that it needed to be, and it would be an absolute battle trying to make a claim. Therefore, at this point I will be cutting my losses with them and contracting another pest control service with a trusted reputation and respectful customer service. I will highly recommend any other potential customer to do the same. I'm sorry this man's company is in shambles, but with the experience I've received, it's no wonder why.

Inappropriate behavior by president of the companyOn September 14, 2013 at 8:45am I received a scheduled visit to renew my termite inspection from a representative of Accurate. I didn't get a reminder notice or call concerning the visit. I explained to the representative that I really wasn't in a predicament to renew my contract at that time and asked if it would be a problem if I rescheduled. The representative stated rescheduling would not be a problem and there would be a $25 rescheduling fee. On the morning of September 16, 2013 I received a call from [redacted] on his personal cellular phone, whom is listed as the President of the Company with Accurate & Thrifty Pest Control. Immediately after I answered the phone I was told that I didn't have the right to re-scheduled my appointment with Accurate & Thrifty Pest Control and that my contract would be terminated due to that. I tried to explain to [redacted] that I was told by his rep that I could re-schedule and I would've appreciated a reminder call prior to their visit as the appointment was set a month in advance. I was then told by [redacted] that he didn't have to give me a courtesy call and I should be a more responsible adult and maintain my appointments. He stated he didn't care what my reasons were. I asked if he knew that he was talking to a human being and what gives him the right to treat his customers that way. He yelled and was irate to the point that I couldn't get a word in and then he hung-up the phone. I tried calling him back and he didn't answer. He eventually returned my call and told me that he spoke with someone in his office and verified that they did call to remind me and a male answered my phone (I have a cell phone and it's never answered by a male). He then preceded to judge me as a person tell me that he was canceling my contract and once again hung-up before I could comment. I then called the office to make sure this call was legitimate and the phone was answered by [redacted] I asked if [redacted] worked there, and she said yes. I then asked to speaker to a manger, she put me a hold for a minute and [redacted] returned to the phone. I asked him was there someone higher than him that I could speak to and he stated that he was the owner, he was canceling my contract, and for me not call back or he would get me for harassment. The way this manger treat his customers is totally unacceptable . Desired SettlementAn apology as I would never do business or recommend them again. Business Response The customer scheduled a special day (Saturday). She knew this and was home and refused to allow us to due the service and pay for it. Our technician explained that to keep her contract with us she needed to do the service. she signed a contract and said she read and understood it. I contacted her and asked why she did what she did. She understood our cancellation policy. You can cancel at anytime prior to us arriving without penalty. If she had money problems she could have contacted us and made arrangements to pay. We will not deal with customers who do not pay their bills and think that is their right. She breached her contract and we cancelled her. She has to pay us nothing and we wish her all the best and we hope she finds a company where she can have the right to do as she pleases. I have already made an apology to the employee who took a day away from his family and been out the cost of work scheduled at the request of this person. I issue an apology if we offended her in any way, but as she threatened me with not doing business with us.we will never do business with her for any amount of money.w

Very Rude Man with Attitude I called the [redacted] 5/9/14 @ 11:36am to get a status on the outcome of an issue pretaining to the wood damage outside my back patio door. I did not want to schedule an inspection due to no money and my work schedule @ the time but the person was so rude he didnt listen. I told him that when the guy came and did my inspection last year he took pictures and said someone would call me back concerning the issue and he was fairly new. All my call was, was an inquiring and I asked him why he had an attitude. He stated he would come out ant inspect himself and then decide if he would keep me as an customer. Desired SettlementI beleive in any business the customer deserves repect and also without the customer your business would not be a success. In the future this person attitude really needs to be worked on, Its not what you say but mainly how you say it. And this person way of talking to people sucks.

Rudest owner of a company I have ever dealt with.I have been doing business with this company 6 or seven years. I set my appointments and pay every time. This year, for some reason, and extremely rude man called me. I was confused about why he was so angry and hateful. I asked if I could set my appointment for august he told me no and then started spouting off all the contract terms ending with if I didn't do it right now it would cost me 1000 dollars .. as I was catching my breath and processing this info he hung up .. I called back to ask why and try to resolve I even said that he could have someone else call me to set appointment and he told me he WAS THE OWNER there was no one else. he did not seem open to hearing anything I had to say. so , I asked him if I owed him any money as of right now and he said no so I told him to cancel my contract. I don't need resolution to this problem as he was very quick to let me know that he would cancel my contract which lets me know he could care less about having me as a customer. I would just like others to know what they are getting into. Apparently, being a good customer for 7 years means nothing to this man. I will spend a months wages to find another company before I will use this company again. Desired Settlementan apology.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: 8707354203Contact Email: [redacted]@sbcglobal.netMrs Davis called to schedule her annual inspectionafter her renewal date.we do not allow this to take place unless payment is made on or before the aniversary date. we sent her a card 8 weeks ago, made numerous calls, left a mote on her door. She was told she could make the payment and schedule the inspection later. I explained that her agreement with us clearly states that. She insisted that she was the customer and I had to acdo what she wanted. I tried to explain but could not find away around the rights she thought she had and did not.every month hundreds of our customers do as they agreed.Yet a small group about 1% find themselves unableto pay or tell the truth. Those who are unable are allowed to pay in unstallments, Those who don"t are cancelled. Mrs [redacted] stated she wanted another company I hope she finds one that will do everything her way. For years she was happy and followed our sagreement and everything was alright, but when she would not pay or follow the rules now i'am the bad guy and all she had to do was send the payment.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)This is not the truth. So, on top of being rude he's a liar as well . I truly hope people Read these complaints before using this company and he should definitely let the woman that works in his office set the appoints I never had a problem until the owner called me. Seems funny to me I did it HIS way for 7 years why all of a sudden would in change and try yo do it MY way as he claims??? There will obviously be no resolution to this matter... but I want it to be clear that he is not being honest in his reply.

Rude, disrespectful behavior by argumentative manager Was called while out of town to see if I wanted to continue mosquito spray. They proceeded to come without my consent. I did want to continue, but expressed that I wanted to be notified before they came so I could put my dog indoors. The manager or employee was very argumentative, saying how I wanted them to do it was not the issue. He misunderstood what I was saying and eventually just stated that I should find another company and hung up on me. Desired SettlementI do not wish a settlement, but wanted to make complaint regarding the unprofessional manner they conduct business. I did not plan to terminate the service, but will certainly no longer recommend them to anyone. I assume this was the owner if he could decide to cancel my service based on his own whims.Business Response the customer entered into a service that we did not have to make an appoibntment for at a reduced cost. we tried to call her 4 times leaving messages. We did her service because if our sevice is going to work we must start early in the season by our agreement. The customer called us upset and wanted to make an appointment. we stared we could but the cost would triple. She stated that she had gotten our calls. we gave her the service for free. But she continued with she wanted what she wanted but wanted it at her price and terms. I stated she need to find someone else who would do it her way. We have enjoyed servicing her and hope that they find the srvice they want. A simple phone call answering any of our many calls wouild have prevented this problem.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I received only ONE message from you while I was out of town caring for my mother in the hospital to ask if I wanted to continue the service this year, never stating that you wanted to come out that week. I responded when I returned to [redacted] and saw that you had already sent someone while my dog was outdoors and only did half the yard. You then questioned why I would leave a dog uncared for while out of town - my family was in town caring for the dog and such suggestions were only meant to provoke. You never said anything about appointments costing triple. We never even discussed anything about the price of the service at the time of our conversation. I never asked for specific appointment times, only that they notify me when they would be there so I could have my dog inside which is what they had told me was their protocol to have pets indoors. I found the whole exchange very unprofessional and not client-oriented at all for someone who relies on the business of their clients.
