Ace Bonding Company

My son was arrested on a misdemeanor violation around 4:30pm December 13th. While I was waiting for his bond to be set I received an unsolicited sales visit at my HOME. I was out running an errand but left my son's girlfriend at my home in the event he called the house while I was gone. She phoned me at 8:24pm because someone was at my door. I asked her to answer it. The person greeted her with the question, "Is this John Doe's (not my son's real name) house?" She repeated what he said and I asked her to ask who he was. He never showed credentials but said he was with Ace Bonding Company and was on his way home and decided to stop by to see if I was interested in hiring a bonding company. Really? I could hear the conversation and was appalled, I asked her to put him on the phone and asked him how I could help him. He repeated his sales pitch and my first question was, "when did bonding companies start making house calls?" While I'm aware bonding companies have immediate access to arrests, so does the public. The fact that this man showed up at my home, at that time was evening, unsolicited, making a cold sales call was alarming and disturbing to say the least. Who does that? I advised him I was not in need of his services and he left but his manner of solicitation troubles me still.Desired SettlementNEVER again solicit customers by going to their home. Whatever means was used to obtain my son's address, should have also shown his phone number, so why not just call. It would not offend me to receive an unsolicited phone call but coming to my home uninvited and that time of night does not give me a warm and fuzzy. Home is my safe haven, my escape from the world, and you violated my sanctuary. If I was looking for a bonding company I would not hire this one.
