Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/06/24) */
In response to the complaint made by Mrs.***,I would like to respond by saying that Ace Construction takes pride in our customer service and will go to great lengths to make sure every customer is completely % satisfiedWe do
understand that from time to time the process of a construction projects this large can take longer then the customer would like it to be completedAce Construction entered into contract with Mr.*** on September 10th ( Attached is a copy of the contract) September is a very busy month for building contractors, along with the months followingI spoke to Mr*** regarding this, and told him that we would try to start this project in the fall of 2014, if not it would be in the spring of On April 13th Ace Construction began working on Mr***s homeAfter removing the wood siding from the home, the home was wrapped in house wrap, taped and sealed to protect it from the weatherI then spoke with Mr*** and assured him that the home would be protected from the elements of the weather, and we would be out to install the siding in June or early JulyWe are on schedule at this point! I have also kept in communication with Mr*** and his wife ***We are hopeful to have this project completed in the near futureSincerely, Michael ***
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/06/25) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Mr*** can begin satisfying his customers by spelling their names correctly and know who they are- it's Mr*** *** and Mrs*** *** is their daughterWe, as Ace Construction's "valued" customer, are absolutely not satisfied with the amount of time this project has takenWith Mr***'s empty promises and repeated no shows, it's understandable that we're not satisfiedMy grandparents, parents, and myself have repeatedly tried to reach him, always to be greeted by his answering machine, or no text backAs shown in his attachment, he has purposefully left out an end date in the contract for his personal advantageThere is a way of doing things in a timely manner, and leaving a house wrapped and exposed to the elements for nearly three months is unacceptableWhat Mr*** said about telling Mr*** that the job would be finished in fall, as well as them agreeing to letting him finish by JULY is completely false, the entire family was wondering where he was all fall and winter and he failed to give us a proper response until early springAce construction has caused damage to our home- our house is rotting on the outsideAfter contacting him about this about a little over month ago on this matter, he gave us no responseOn May 29th of 2015, Mike *** had contacted my grandmother stating that "the job will be completely done by the end of June." He had also texted me the same thing (attached)We had agreed to give him until June 30th of After that, was remained unreachable until last week when he called my grandmother and told her he'd come the weekend of the 20th, or the 22ndToday is June 25th, and he has not stepped foot on our property since, nor has he scheduled the mandantory inspection that's needed to start the sidingAce construction is absolutely not "on schedule." He is now going back on his wordBack in April Mike had told us that he needed to complete a job in Brooklyn Park in order to have money to supply our material, then he would proceed to finishing our projectAccording to his now deleted Facebook page, he had finished the job he referenced quite a few weeks ago, as well as a couple other jobsEarlier this week, I had left an honest one-star review on Ace Contruction's Facebook page, as well as some comments on his photosThese comments questioned him on how he was able to finish a roofing job in one day, but was unable to finish our job in monthsAfter deleting my comment multiple times and being unable to delete my negative review, Mike *** deleted his company's Facebook pageAfter I had filed my initial complaint with the Revdex.com, I got a text from Mike a couple hours after receiving my confirmation letter saying "Are you on the contract? You better keep your mouth shut or I'll be suing you for slander!" (Attached)Mike *** is attempting to silence complaints and truthful reviews to the public by threatening those that come forward, or deleting themWe would like our downpayment returned in full, not another empty promise
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2015/07/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Again, if Mike *** was concerned about customer satisfaction he would have completed a week window and siding replacement job in under yearTo date (July 10th, 2015) he has only removed the old siding and covered the home in wrapHe has neglected repairing any damaged siding or woodHe has repeatedly lied to us about the status of the jobIn fall of Mike told us he had ordered the windows and asked where to store themThen in spring of he said you needed to order the windowsHe also asked for more money so you could purchase the sidingWhat happened to the $9,we gave him on signing the contract in 2014? Mike ***s feeble attempt to avoid litigation by refusing a certified letter from us on June 30th of is a further indictment of his character and lack of concern for his customersNow he has the audacity to ask us for more money to cover the work Ace Construction has improperly doneAce Construction illegally wrapped the home without getting a tear down inspectionA building official from the city of Saint Cloud has confirmed that Mike *** did not have the proper inspections done and did not follow codeThey have also confirmed that a large part of the damage to the sheathing has been caused by him and his companyBy not properly weather proofing the house, or placing a proper air vent for the dryer and only cutting a small slit for the moisture to escape, Ace Construction has caused moisture to be trapped between the house wrap and the wood of the houseAfter receiving several other bids from local construction companies, we have learned that Ace Construction caused about $in damageBecause of their illegal wrap job, it will take an addition $to remove the existing house wrap and rewrap the houseMrand Mrs*** *** believe Ace Construction should be responsible for the amount of money it will take to fix, as well as the amount it will take to tear down the old wrap job and replace itWe are requesting that Ace construction give us back our $9,down payment as well as the additional $1,to repair and redo the work that has been improperly and illegally doneWe would like an official, written and signed confirmation that Mike *** will be refunding us and reimbursing us with $10,664, in full, by the end out July, After the amount we have requested has been paid completely and the work has been finished, we will then give Mike *** a written termination of contract
Final Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2015/07/22) */
Ace Construction is trying to remedy this disagreement with Mr ***We are not asking for " moor Money", we are simply asking to be compensated a reasonable amount for the work that has been performed, being as Mr*** would like to terminate the contract between himself and Ace ConstructionWe are hopeful to resolve this matter soonThank you, Michael ***
