Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: The shop did not offer to have my truck towed backHe only asked me to send him pictures, then he told me to check the connectionsHe made no effort resolve what was wrongI have had the truck at another shop because I needed my truck to work properly and not spill fuel everywhereThe new shop had to re-route his new fuel lines as Ace Diesel took the new fuel line and literally wrapped it around the e-brake cable to support it (the new fuel line) from the tank to the front of the cabNot only was that fuel line installed improperly, the draw straw unit for the new pump was positioned so it snagged the tank level sending unit and I had to have the tank removed once again from the truck so that my fuel level gauge would work and not read empty
But back to the point of the truck leaking fuel when it left his shop (Ace Diesel)I was in the parking lot that night going over the fittings tightening them as they were leaking. This was three days after he received my truckHis excuse for the slow return was he had to answer the phone, which seems more like he broke something and was waiting for new parts to show upBut that is besides the pointThe truck was actively leaking fuel when it left his shopWhen he was presented with this, he only asked for pictures, then told me to check the fittingsHe never offered to have the truck towed or even go over it again if I could get it backSo his statements in his response are false.
I now understand diesel fuel doesn't damage paint and I am not worried about the paint anymore at this pointHowever I am worried about his installation methods and letting the truck go leakingThat was a hazard to me and anyone else on the roadPlus I had to have the truck towed to another shopI have acquired allot of bills from thisI am simply asking for a refund in order to pay for the bill I already have to have everything re-installed at another shopSincerely,*** ***

Customer was informed when he brought his truck in that it may take longer because of only having one tech who was running the full shop. He was ok with this. After fixing the truck, I ran it for 30 minutes to watch for leaks and drove it for 15 minutes with no fuel leaks. Customer picked up the...

truck and called the same night, leaving a voicemail stating that it was leaking fluid. I called the customer back the next morning and told him I could tell him how to fix it over the phone or he could have it towed back to the shop and I would fix it at no cost. The customer then asked if he could send pictures of where it was leaking and I agreed. I explained to him where it could be leaking and how to possibly fix it. I also informed the customer that if it was leaking fuel in the parking lot of the business he could have left it at the shop and I would have taken a look at it in the morning. Everything I did was followed to a "T" from what the instructions said. The customer was called with updates on the truck every day the truck was here. As well, no factory parts were broken on the truck with the install of the lift pump. The fuel will not damage the paint on the truck if it did get on any body surface.
