Redbud Builders contracted with Ace Hardwood on January 22, 2014 for 703 Bouldin Ave. and contract was signed by [redacted] (President) of Redbud Builders. Redbud Builders never paid for the installation of the wood floors...
OR the 30% due AFTER installation, as stated within the signed contract terms. Standard procedure, and Texas Law, requires to post a lien for any unpaid balance(s), within ninety (90) days. Numerous phone calls, letters and repeat statement of the bill were sent to Redbud Builders requesting payment but were all met with no response from Redbud Builders. Ace Hardwood then sent proper lien documents and threatened lien rights. Consequently, Redbud Builders sent the check. After receiving their check, we found out – by visiting the jobsite at Bouldin – that Redbud’s clients were already moved in. Calling Redbud Builders, their secretary stated that their clients had to move in and had hired another company to complete the job by sand & finishing the floor. I can, and will, provide – if needed – phone conversations, statements of billing, notices, lien statements, dates of all occurrences, text messages and emails. Enclosed is a copy of the contract.
