Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because it doesn’t address all of the relevant and important points of our complaint 1) They did not address the three parts per million as not a dangerous level of carbon monoxide2) They did not address that some of their work was not up to code3) They did not address their damage to our clay tile lining which created the dangerous possibility of the tile lining collapsing into our chimney once they installed the smaller diameter liner4) They did not address using a building code which is not in use by the City of LovelandWe don’t contest that we signed a contract and agreed to the work, but it was based on what they told us that the levels of carbon monoxide were dangerous to our healthWe did request that they remove the lining We were told they would get back to us, however, they never did regarding that issue They did call us in the fall and asked if we still wanted them to replace our furnace At that time, we told them not to worry about the furnaceThe errors in their work and lack of understanding about Loveland Building codes led us to a situation that created more work and expense beyond the simple installation of a water heater which they were initially asked to doAttached are three documents The first is the initial contract and payment of $ The second is the payment for $ The third is the estimate and payment made to the Chimney Sweep Regards, [redacted]
1) parts per million was just at the water heater There were no carbon monoxide detectors in the home and the husband was not well 2) Everything we did for the venting was to code We never heard from the inspector of it not being to code Another contractor came in and gave his opinion of what was code The [redacted] 's said they were going to deal with it 3)There is no proof that Ace Hi caused damage to the tile in the chimney This is an old home and the tiles could have been damaged before Ace Hi ran any venting 4) We did contact the inspector They said what we did was to code It was not until the [redacted] 's called another contractor that came in to critique our work and sell a job Then the inspector came out after the fact Since the inspector did not come out when we called we followed the code book Which you have a copy5) Ace Hi will refund $back to the [redacted] 's for the work performed
Our recent repair experience with Ace High Plumbing was completely positiveThey responded to our need to repair a leaking drain pipe within one dayThe technician was professional in conduct and knowledgeHe worked efficiently and effectively and kept our bill within reasonThe best part, no more leak
