I contacted this business nearly a year ago to fulfill an orthopedic prescription. After they had made the mold of my feet and sent off I was told insurance had denied the claim. Since I needed these, I agreed to pay out of pocket. The company required I pay by check. The check was for $500+. In November, I received a letter from my insurance where they had ran it through insurance and had been given money. That the amount I owed I was half of what I was charged. I contacted the company and was told that they had never received anything from the insurance company. I was told if I mailed them a copy they'd be happy to issue the refund. I mailed a copy the next day. I have repeatedly called and not got any response. I mailed the insurance papers over 2 months ago.
In addition, the orthotics sold were very poorly made compared to ones I had gotten from a former supplier (that has since gone out of business). These will likely need replaced before long.
As we had previously spoke earlier today 03/18/2020 the account for Ms. is still in process. The supplies that she had received is too be billed for 2 and her insurance had only paid for 1 for left foot, if she looks on her EOB she will see that payment has not yet been received for the supply she received for right foot. So we have resubmitted additional information to the insurance and are waiting in response from them at this time. This is still in process and we are working on getting this matter taken care of for the patient. As soon as we get a response from the insurance if a refund is due we will send a refund to the patient. Thank You,Ace Medical LLC
