Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/03/06) */
You know I have to say this right now to begin with. By far the kind of people who files these complaints with their completely ridiculous resolutions to unfair business practices with fabricated and exaggerated conditions to problems...

that clearly do not exist, is always from individuals who clearly have behavioral problems for the most part and are by far completely different in thinking than the 99.9% of the business contacts one encounters.
To begin with I was delayed by two other jobs which took much longer than expected, yet I stayed in contact with the customer re[redacted]uring her of my intention to make it to her before the parts store closes in case her vehicle is like every other one who has a serpentine belt failure because of a component. I finish with the last job at 8:30pm on a Sunday, yet my goal is to be able to get all jobs completed but more so to help those possibly stranded away from home to be able to drive their vehicles from the location when I have completed the job.
Knowing my ability to access the problem quickly once there and seeing a 15min driving time, decided to contact the customer and make aware of the situation but giving her a re[redacted]urance to my ability to complete her repair and have her on the road that night.
I immediately notice the idler pulley on the top of the motor had failed. Pointing out that the pulley was bad offering to show it to the customer but she doesn't make an attempt to walk over and look. I call the parts store for the part which is a very common part sold to which she was made aware it was about $20. Seeing the mistrusting look in her eyes when asking for the parts money I just told her I would cover the cost and she can pay me back when the job is done.
I told her I would be right back with the part and at that time she indicated the new belt she had purchased was in the vehicle on the drivers floorboard. Once back I begin to work on the vehicle I had left open for those reasons and what I [redacted]ume "all" of my customers leave the vehicles open for.
I contacted the customer by phone in the building to help me by downloading a diagram for her belt configuration as her's was difficult to figure out. She has her coworker let me use the desktop to search for the info I needed never once mentioning any concerns about thinking I needed to be babysat while doing the simple repair.
I had completed the repair and realized I had forgotten my jumper to restart her vehicle, but regardless the job she hired me for was complete and asked to be paid re[redacted]uring her that she only need a jump but I needed to be paid. She starts talking about me waiting for her jump to show up before she paid me. I was trying to get her to understand that it wasn't my responsibility to make sure it started again. What I had spoke to her about was the repair to have her vehicle road ready. Honestly any number of conditions could have occurred because of the belt break and are not my concern, the agreement we had come to was complete. She was starting to give me the idea I may need to contact police for a theft of services if any other conditions were present because of the belt failure and there was a no start. No they would not make a case but she would have to endure the police coming to her work place for everyone to see she doesn't pay her bills. Luckily her jump came quickly and it was running within a few minutes.
Then she starts to make it difficult to accept a hand written receipt because I had walked out of the house forgetting my receipt book. She makes a request for another written receipt later. I informed her at that time if she was willing to stop in my city I will honor her request for a for a different form of proof to payment, only then because the receipt she was given is sufficient under any requirements. It gave warranty info and amount paid in full, My business name and address with contact info and my signature. She then asks for a copy of my ID to copy and verify if the info I had put on paper was the same, for which it was. She starts talking about all the precautions because of past experiences. When I just raced against the clock and was able to get her parts last minute and have her able to leave within 30 min of her getting off of work on a Sunday evening.
I finally got her to hand the money over to me to which I asked her the same thing I ask every customer being how much money was in my hand. She said the amount and I put it into my pocket without looking to see if it was correct as I do every single time I accept a cash only payment. Then I was finally able to walk away a good 30 min after the job was complete. It wasn't until later when I did count it like every one else, I noticed it was short $20 Mind you not once have I ever pulled out the money from any job ever and had it short one dollar.I have seen it over paid many times as a tip for which I call them back to thank them. But this individual has to be the first. This is over a period of years by the way.
Walking away dumbfounded how someone could be so mistrusting and ungrateful of someone who was able to get her back on the road within the parameters she had set for her work day as a 9:00 pm finishing as her only concern so she didn't have to leave her vehicle at her working place overnight.

She contacts me a few days later with the receipt request. I asked her if she was in my area at the time. She fails to answer my question and starts in on an inquiry of her parts receipt which she claims was in the bag with the new part. I informed her I didn't take it or remembered seeing it or not, but if it was in the bag it had to still be there when I left, I had no need for her receipt. She starts in with this accusation of me possibly putting a different belt on her vehicle and stealing hers, but it was a bit vague. I snapped at her and said "your belt was shredded which belt did you think I put on it?"
At this point I was livid with her and the behavior ungrateful behavior a few nights prior and told her she had a sufficient receipt and for her to fk off she was not getting anything else from me ever.
This was a bit long winded but It needed details to understand the thinking of this individual. Her concerns for my driving status and wanting a half refund for part that of all things and my receipt form she was given is ludicrous. This job is one of those fix or fail type of things. You don't normally have concerns about the job being done in a professional manner as long as the same problem doesn't occur almost immediately. There is no happy medium for belt failures later on in workmanship.
I will close with this summation. You can make any decisions about this situation you like with this "individual" and the business experience I provided. You contact me again it will be to no avail. This crap and the kinds of people who complain to you are what gives your credibility a lower rating by myself. That is not to say there are not very lid-git complaints given to you. It means when they are not valid they are always way out there. Your decision make no difference to me whatsoever and will not get any more attention by me than this lengthy almost 7000 word response. Goodbye
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2014/03/08) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
For the most part I most always will not questioned any type of service IF it was provided with professionalism and outmost respect for others. I will not take offense of [redacted]'s saying that I have behavioural problems and that my thinking is not of the 99% of most business contacts because I have a degree in Paralegal and with that I am very much educated and entuned with business contacts on a daily basis. The following are response to [redacted]s lies and fabrication of what actually took place.
There were alot of people that had witnessed [redacted]s hyper active behaviour while he was trying to fix my vehicle. Although his appearance was shady I gave him the benefit of the doubt due to the urgency that I had to either fixed my vehicle or removed it because the parking was no longer our property after 8pm.
I also had a witness that saw that I had given [redacted] $145. That is an absolutely lie that he was short $20, I even counted out the money to him. Again at that time he made a comment to my witness and asked her if she wanted to take a picture of him receiving the money. So he was fully aware that I gave him the money. If anything there was a camera at the front desk in which we did the transaction at my working place. So not only I have a live witness but there is a camera and if need to be viewed security can viewed the tape with the proper authorities.
I had called him numerous time throughout the day to confirm to see if he is still interested in the job. He had advised me that he will be here way before I get off work at 9pm. It wasnt unti sun down which was 630pm that I realize he was not here...he said he had to take a shower because of a job that he just did and that he will be here soon...each time he said the word soon hours had p[redacted]ed since we last spoke. When he arrived 15 min till 9pm he hurried me to him at my vehicle so that he could take a quick look in case another part is needed and if he needs to go to the shop to get a part before it closes at 9pm.
I absolutely did not say that I would contact police for theft services. He was such in a hurry and was going to leave without checking to see if the jeep will run. Yes, he did install the serpentine belt but waiting around wont hurt to see if the jeep would start. I know my rights and calling the police to check my vehicle is something that any human being would know will be a waste of time for the officers to show up to make a case and that he stated somthing about everyone to see that I dont pay my bills....dont know where he came with that loofy idea.
Again I wouldnt question his work if he was stable and not edgy. I should have withdrawn when I had doubts from the beginning. For the record I do have my own personal mechanic but he happend to be off island on a family emergency and wouldnt returned to Oahu until May, that is why I had seek help elsewhere. [redacted] kept on raising his voice each time I asked him a question. I told him there is no need to talk to be in the tone of voice.
[redacted] also told me to call him back to remind him to get a receipt to me because we live in the same city. I called back and was very much astonished by the cuss words that he utter towards me. That was unecessary. Unfortunately when I called him I had already arrived at work.
His reputation will be tarnished because I will spread the word about his uncanny, shady, nervous behaviour. He kept looking around and over his shoulder as if he was looking for someone and than got paranoid when he saw a vehicle parked next to his.
Of course I questioned about my belt that I purchased prior to his arrival because the receipt was not in the bag where the belt...who knows he might save the belt for another job and put a used one on my vehicle. Everything happened so fast. I dont know why he was such a rush he mentioned that I was his lost job for the day, then he said he had to finish up other jobs because he did not completed because of me.
So in closing I am still requesting a valid receipt and half of the bill due to stress and causing me to use my job to conduct my personal business such as the computer to look up a diagram of the engine and the use of foul language to conduct business.
Clearly one can see on the last paragraph the type of person he truly reveals. How does he expects his business to grow if he treats people especially women like this. Im sure he wouldnt tell a guy to F[redacted] off because guys normally fix their own cars. This guy is not good...not professional and very much not well. One bad reveiew wont hurt the Revdex.com....
Thank you for your time

Final Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2014/03/22) */
I guess to begin with I will address the Revdex.com directly.
It may have been an over site on my part to any request for an email address. One has been provided per your request.
Now back to this lying bold face [redacted]. I am a mechanic who knows there are people like you out there and when dealing with you the only appropriate term that perfectly fits is the profanity. Calling you excrement just does not roll off of the tongue very well and [redacted] is the term you know all too well anyway. I can't be the only person this mess under my shoe has had dealings with in this manner. Although I am not privy to the information. I would bet dimes for donuts this person has had numerous complaint to your organization with these types of outlandish frivolous complaints. Also for the record, I have absolutely none with you besides this of course.
If there is one thing I hate worse than liars its thieves, in that order. A person tells one lie they will tell more, so we will expose her for that.
Professionalism is staying to my word about completing the overall task of getting your vehicle repaired so you do not have to leave it for a lack of time based on unpredicted issues to projects attempting to complete in order to get to you in the time allotted for that day. Making you aware of the delay when you contacted me last and staying to my word of contacting you when the last job completed regardless.
Professionalism is knowing I need a "go ahead" from you regardless of remaining time to complete with the prior knowledge on the kinds of things which will prevent it from being fixed or not in an attempt to re[redacted]ure you with limited time I will still be able to complete it with your "go ahead and come" This is with a vehicle sight unseen which is a pretty big responsibility most mechanics wont touch until they see the vehicle, because of the occasional person of your nature pulling a fast one on them to expectations of something more than would be expected when completed possibly.

Professionalism is the ability to access the additional problem in a matter of seconds once arriving and make it to a "parts store" not a "shop" and purchase that part, to which I added no additional labor for. Time is money and in most cases if you can't do the grocery shopping and want me to, it's additional.
My behavior was a very rushed one based only on limited time factors and nothing more. Possibly a little jacked up on caffeine too. Although to your statement to me "whats the rush?" It was late and I mentioned I had things to do. Your attempt to discredit me by lying and saying my behavior was paranoid in nature can only be an attempt to disregard your paranoid behavior in thinking I took your receipt with some stupid [redacted] accusations to some sort of fraudulent business practice you thought I may have been engaging. Only you failed to address that one thing in this latest response, which was very important because it put you put in the status of never getting anything from me ever, regardless of any future claims to any warranty I may have offered written or otherwise. You found the damn thing didn't you?
Professionalism is being honest about other jobs needing attention before yours. Knowing there would be absolutely no possible way to travel back to Pearl City after a job to shower and just get dirty again, making it completely impossible to any attempts at resolving your issues, claiming a shower would be needed. Those words are nothing but an additional lie no mechanic, especially a mobile one would ever say.
Your request for me to continue to wait for payment until you see if your vehicle starts had nothing to do with the agreement we had which I tried to point out to you. I was doing a repair which allows for the battery to charge, the power steering to work and keep the vehicle from overheating. THAT WAS ALL YOU WERE GOING TO GET FOR YOUR MONEY. Therefore had your vehicle not started for some reason. Lets say in the process of getting to work instead of stopping the vehicle like you are suppose to and call fort towing to prevent further damage it overheated too much and blew a head gasket and wont start. I had no concerns for that aspect of your problems had that been the case. I would still need to be paid for my services we agreed upon. I [redacted]ured you that a jump was all that was necessary, which I was right about, only you started to give me a [redacted] taste in my mouth at that point with your arrogance to a situation you know nothing about, giving me the impression if it didn't start I would not be paid. Luckily your jump came in a reasonable amount of time and I was able to satisfy every single god damn thing I said I would do allowing you to leave your working place with your vehicle running perfectly fine within a half hour of getting off work. Then you started to really piss me off once a receipt was issued with proper information and a very acceptable receipt to anyone miss paralegal, yet I can not get you to hand it over. You start in with this ridiculous [redacted] about copying my ID which checked out to match the information written in that receipt. Oh by-the-way they don't give degrees in paralegal. Its vocational training, so for the record you are uneducated. When I finally got you to hand me the money over which was like pulling teeth. My last words to you were this, "how much is this" to which you said "$145" I said nothing to you after that, put your money in my front pocket as I do with all my customers then thanking them for their business, then turn around to walk away. Only no thank you for your business was ever given to you at that point.
It was my fault for not counting it and only mentioned it because you are a lying piece of [redacted]. Only I know for a fact possibly three people I have ever done work for actually counted the money out to me in order for me to receive it. You sure in the hell were not one of them.
So liar I am going to give you the opportunity of getting every thing you gave me and an additional $20 for a total of $145 refund. The only thing you have to do is produce the footage of your lying [redacted] counting out the payment to me like you are trying to lead these people to believe.
Furthermore had your vehicle not started and you refused to pay me. This paranoid mechanic would have had the police there no drivers license and all to make a scene to your refusal to pay me. Even if knowing already they would advise me a "theft of services" case will work for taxi drivers. Mine is a he said she said kinda thing leaving to the courts for any resolution. So if you were taking my money it was going to cost you in that manner. It makes no sense for me to chase $145 dollar payment. I would have had to eat it, chalking your [redacted] up to a lesson learned. Of course we both know you didn't count it out and will never be able to prove it, so too bad on that lie. As far as any warranty to you? It has been voided for being a lying.. yeah you got it. I didn't need to repeat it that time, did I?
