Mr *** is correct that he had exhaust manifolds repaired in the spring of Within the year and a half the gaskets wear just like any other part on a vehicleThe work by no means has a warranty after a year and a halfThere were not scheduled appointmentsOne, Neil was able to look at
the vehicle but did not have time to instantly make any repairsThe second appointment was for a Thursday, the vehicle was dropped off on a MondayThe business looses money for the time allotted to perform work when the vehicle does not arrive and cannot just make time on a different day for a lengthy jobBeing it is NOT under warranty I believe a good solution to the problem would be to take the vehicle elsewhere for the repairsMr *** brought his wife's vehicle weeks prior to this complaint so it came as a surpriseUnfortunately, I don't want to lose a customer but now I believe it's the best solutionPlease feel free to email me with any questions or call ###-###-####

Mr*** stated he did not expect the work to be completed for free as he was aware there was no warranty after over a yearMy recommendation of him taking his vehicle elsewhere is a complete resolution to the problemIt's senseless to get into the the heresay of he said, she said againRevdex.com also spoke to Neil at business and the following was relayed: I put the manifold and gaskets on his truckThe gasket is burned out and needs to be replacedThe hardware is still thereThe first time I was unable to get to the vehicle in time, after that however the customer kept missing appointments by a day or moreThe issue is not due to anything I did, the piece went badThere are many other shops in the area that can do the work

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. There are some lies as to the reply made by Ace Muffler on the complaint.  I dropped my truck off one day so he could see what was was wrong with it. He stated after that day that the manifold gasket was burnt out and that it should not do that after only a little after a year, and they would make it right.  I don't remember the exact day, but he stated to bring it back and they would get it in and fix it. I asked him when I dropped it off that if he was not able to be done with by I believe noon he following day to not start to fix it since I needed my truck the following day.  He did not fix it that day.  I did not make an appointment to get it fixed for a little over a month since I was busy for the month of August and most of September.  I did make an appointment to get my wife's exhaust fixed on Thursday Sept 28th, an I then made an appointment for Monday October 2nd to get my exhaust manifold fixed. He did fix my wife's exhaust on the schedule day. I then dropped my truck off Monday at 0745 on the day it was scheduled to be there. It was there all day as I was at a job that I had to borrow a friends vehicle an get rides to drop my truck off and pick it up. He did not fix it on that day either. He wrote a note and left it on my seat stating he did not have time to do it that day, but he did tighten up the manifold bolts that were loose.  The note stated that if I could bring it back on the Thursday he would make sure it was fixed.  I was unable to bring it on the Thursday since I had to work so I called him on Tuesday and asked if Friday was OK cause I did not work on Friday and could get it there.  He state to me that was fine.  I dropped the truck off at 0900 on Friday. Again I stopped after hours to pick up the truck like I had to do every other time since I work weird hours and was unable at an of the times to get to his shop by 5pm when he closed.  I never expected it to be free and I asked if when he was done fixing the truck to let me know so I could pay for it by credit card over the phone and he always told me that was fine. The truck was always there when he asked for it to be there or when it was scheduled to be there. I agree that when you say you will do something and don't it does cost people money, however I had waste at least 3 days an borrowed vehicles and paid people to get me from his shop an to his shop to pick up my truck. I am the one that lost money not Neil. He also never had the decency to call me an tell me it was not fixed, I always found out when I showed up to pick it up. Only once was there a note there as well that told me he was unable to fix it. I am obviously going to have to go to another shop to get my exhaust fixed. Because it is obvious for some reason he does not want to or is unable to fix the problem. Regards,

Mr. [redacted] stated he did not expect the work to be completed for free as he was aware there was no warranty after over a year. My recommendation of him taking his vehicle elsewhere is a complete resolution to the problem. It's senseless to get into the the heresay of he said, she said again. Revdex.com also spoke to Neil at business and the following was relayed: I put the manifold and gaskets on his truck. The gasket is burned out and needs to be replaced. The hardware is still there. The first time I was unable to get to the vehicle in time, after that however the customer kept missing appointments by a day or more. The issue is not due to anything I did, the piece went bad. There are many other shops in the area that can do the work.
