This is in regards to a recent complaint, it seems he is leaving lots of them on multiple web reviews I have attached the estimate and photos from the customer that the estimate was based onWe did not visit the site, normally we can quote this work based on photosHe agreed to this, prior to our arrivalThis was our first time working with this customer. The photo shows the cover not closing square by 3-4", and another contractor used different rope types, which stretch at different ratesThis is how we estimated the work.We finished all of the work as quoted, including minutes of skew adjustment, to get the cover to close as straight as possibleWe brought the customer out to show him the results It's for this automatic cover system to bounce when it comes in contact with the pool edgeAt this point, is when he mentions all of the wood and various other things he puts between the cover edge and the pool edge for the winter(Keep in mind there are clips that are 1/8" thick along this edge, preventing a "tight" sealThat is part of the pool edge that cannot be changed). Also, when a pool is built, if it is not square to the cover system, it appears crooked when closing and opening (pool built by other, serviced by multiple others)We try adjusting a bit more, then I mentioned an additional add on piece to help seal the gapsThe customer is very interested in this part, and asks if it was $35-$40? I told him no, I will have to get the price, it's not an item we use very oftenHe then agrees to pay for the part, awaiting a priceThen he tries to negotiate for us to come back and install it for no chargeThis all took an additional minutes, and then he stated that he wasn't going to pay for all of the estimate, unless we install the part no chargeWe agreed that if he paid for the part, we would come back to install in a few weeks, when we were in the areaWe also mentioned trying to correct the 1/4" gap on the date of the bumper installWe then find out that there are a few other wearable items that have not been replaced in years, so an overall a lack of maintenance on those items may also contribute to the issue. He did not like the $priceHe also thinks we gave him that $price verballyWe also offered to return to work on the cover to try and correct the small gap that he is describing, as part of the warrantyHe stated that unless he gets the parts and labor for no charge, he does not want us to honor the warrantyI have asked him twice to let us honor the warranty.I feel we finished the work, based on the information he provided up frontThe only way he will be happy is if he gets the bumper for no charge

This is in regards to a recent complaint, it seems he is leaving lots of them on multiple web reviews.  I have attached the estimate and photos from the customer that the estimate was based on. We did not visit the site, normally we can quote this work based on photos. He agreed to this, prior...

to our arrival. This was our first time working with this customer. The photo shows the cover not closing square by 3-4", and another contractor used 2 different rope types, which stretch at different rates. This is how we estimated the work.We finished all of the work as quoted, including 45 minutes of skew adjustment, to get the cover to close as straight as possible. We brought the customer out to show him the results.  It's normal for this automatic cover system to bounce when it comes in contact with the pool edge. At this point, is when he mentions all of the wood and various other things he puts between the cover edge and the pool edge for the winter. (Keep in mind there are 2 clips that are 1/8" thick along this edge, preventing a "tight" seal. That is part of the pool edge that cannot be changed). Also, when a pool is built, if it is not square to the cover system, it appears crooked when closing and opening (pool built by other, serviced by multiple others). We try adjusting a bit more, then I mentioned an additional add on piece to help seal the gaps. The customer is very interested in this part, and asks if it was $35-$40? I told him no, I will have to get the price, it's not an item we use very often. He then agrees to pay for the part, awaiting a price. Then he tries to negotiate for us to come back and install it for no charge. This all took an additional 45 minutes, and then he stated that he wasn't going to pay for all of the estimate, unless we install the part no charge. We agreed that if he paid for the part, we would come back to install in a few weeks, when we were in the area. We also mentioned trying to correct the 1/4" gap on the date of the bumper install. We then find out that there are a few other wearable items that have not been replaced in 9 years, so an overall a lack of maintenance on those items may also contribute to the issue. He did not like the $150 price. He also thinks we gave him that $35 price verbally. We also offered to return to work on the cover to try and correct the small gap that he is describing, as part of the warranty. He stated that unless he gets the parts and labor for no charge, he does not want us to honor the warranty. I have asked him twice to let us honor the warranty.I feel we finished the work, based on the information he provided up front. The only way he will be happy is if he gets the bumper for no charge.
