refund. I would greatly appreciate it if this complaint was not closed, as the plumber has not refunded us the money despite out agreement with his terms to resolve the matter. Could you please reopen the discussion since we have not received the partial refund?***

The business called and said that he provided a quote to the customer by email. He then informed the customer he was not able to do the job ans sent a sub contractor out to the job. If there is an issue with the price of the final service the customer would need to reach out to the contractor that...

did the work to be provided with a receipt for the work that he did.

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This response is not true. I had Joe from Ace Plumbing come to my house and fix my bathroom sink plumbing issue. He didn't have a receipt book and told me I needed to contact that [redacted], [redacted], to get a receipt and a write up of any findings from the work and what he actually did. The [redacted] did get back to me after I issued a complaint with Revdex.com but send a receipt that was for the wrong amount. I told him to send me a new one and he never did (That was April 25th). I'm still waiting for a receipt that says I paid $325 for the work. I need this in order to submit to my building for reimbursement.

Review: I had my bathroom sink serviced on April 5th, 2014. I paid for the work done with a check and asked for a receipt and a report of the work done. The guy said he didn't have a receipt book and would have to get us it at a later date. In reference to the report of work done he said we needed to call the[redacted], to get a report. The receipt and report are crucial to us to submit to our building for reimbursement AND to have evidence of a larger building plumbing issue. I have spoken with [redacted] at least 6 times on the phone and left several messages and every time he says he will send me both items via e-mail and he never does. Since he already cashed the check I have no way of forcing him to provide us with this basic paperwork.Desired Settlement: I would like the[redacted] of Ace Plumbing to provide me with a receipt for the work done which cost me $325 as well as a written report of what the plumber did and what he found.

Review: On July 29,2013 we contracted with Ace Plumbing, LLC ([redacted]) to repair the damaged Sewer Line in our front yard and the job included: Back Hoe & Operating 4" PVC Pipe & Fittings Gravel - Dirt Seed Straw Labor for $3735.00 Downpayment was for $1867.50 and I paid it on 7/30/13. Job started on August 2. Hole was closed on August 4 and they raked the yard. He asked to be paid an additional amount of $1500.00 which I paid on 8/5/2013.His Brother came back and raked and shoveled again after the ground had settled. The leveling of the dirt (with a bobcat), topsoil(Dirt), Seed and Straw was to follow the following weekend. We have contacted him or left messages since mid-August requesting when he was going to finish the job. He has agree to dates three times and not shown up. He fails to answer our calls or return messages. The last date he agreed to show up to do the work was October 6. He did not show up and refused to do the work when we contacted him that day because it might rain the next day. We need him to complete the job he contracted to do for us.Desired Settlement: Want the job completed.

Response:

I spoke with [redacted] from the company and he states that there was a tropical storm the weekend the seed and straw was to be put down and the consumer lives on a hillside so he wouldn't be able to do the work. He stated that the consumer has a male friend who was being very nasty to him on the phone and that is why he did not return but he does want to finish the job if the consumers friend could be calmer towards him.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's offer. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. If the company does not perform as promised I can get back to you at: [redacted].

I find the information provided by the Business puzzling. The friend is my husband who called him and worked with him to get the bid as I was out of State on Business in July. Our yard has approximately a 1 foot to a 1-1/2 foot sloop. No major hill. All we have asked in the phone calls would you please call us back as we do not understand why you are not rescheduling or what is the plan to complete this job. We have asked for another date for the work or to explain why delay. We have had to contact him when he did not show up three times. He has had since August 5th to do this work. The last scheduled date was October 6th (over 30 days from todays date). He has made no calls back to schedule after he did not do the work on that date.

Our yard has a sunken hole approximately 9 feet wide x 12 feet long. We had to put up fence posts and caution tape around to keep Halloween Trick-or-Treaters safe. Our Homeowners Association has been patient with this issue.

The consumer called and stated that the yard has not been shaped, the topsoil has not been done and there is only a little straw down. There is a pipe and roots sticking out of the yard.

Response:

I spoke with [redacted] from the business and he said that he got in touch with the consumer and went to her home to look at the yard. He said that the ground would need to settle before he knows what he can do. He stated that he left the conversation with the consumer that he would go back out there in March, spring time, to look at the ground and see what he needs to fix.

I spoke with the consumer and she states that they never determined a date from him to return. She believes that dirt will fix the problem. She believes that [redacted] is just pushing them off.

Review: on 5/27, Ace plumbing came to our rented property to repair a leaking pipe connecting to our water heater. They did a satisfactory job, which was as described. Upon completion a receipt was given that simply says, "3/4 flex line leaking on water heater replaced back with copper and added a shut off 3/4 ball valve". The plumber then stated that $425 had been the agreed upon price with me; however I was not present and this was being handled by my girlfriend who also lives at this residence. When I was informed of these events, I told my girlfriend that I had NEVER discussed pricing, and that this pricing seemed over what would be expected. We have asked for an itemized report bill but despite over 6 attempts at contacting them, they have failed to produce them. We have never disputed the price, but believe that an actual itemized report is required in this instance.Desired Settlement: Itemized receipt, detailing exactly how $425 was the final price, and possible refund if they are unable to provide this information.
