Review: I called Ace Quick Lube for a price on an oil change for my fiancé. I spoke with the acting manager who gave me a price of $55.35 for a complete oil change including tax. I agreed on the price and sent my fiancé up immediately for the service. She called me just after leaving upset because she was charged $77.02-nearly $22.00 more than I. was quoted. I called the manager([redacted]) and told him I wanted a credit for the difference and he became belligerent causing me to do the same. He then hung up on me. I called another quick lube store nearby owned by the same person by the name of [redacted]? I asked that store for [redacted] to call me which he did. I tried to explain to him also that I was given one quote and charged significantly more. He also provided no satisfaction so I informed him I was filing a complaint. He then threatened me by saying "go ahead and ill shove it so far up you as you will never find it again". I then told him to have a nice day and hung up!Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for theft by deception and a bad rating by you and other cosumer advocates.

First of all, I do not have any synthetic oil changes that are $55.35 including tax. A synthetic oil

change up to five quarts of oil including tax would start at $59.35 ($55.99 plus $3.36 tax).

Secondly, Mr. [redacted] was quoted correctly at $77.08 for an oil change on a 2008 VW Beetle. The

vehicle’s specifications were entered into the computer and processed as requiring 6.3 quarts of oil. He

was told that a synthetic oil change was $55.99 for the first five quarts of oil and $8.25 more for each

additional quart of oil which came to an extra $10.73. He was also told there was an extra $6.00 charge

for the oil filter and tax of $4.36. After the charges were all explained to him, Mr. [redacted] told [redacted] to

only put five quarts of oil in the car because he had a quart of oil at home and he would add it.

When the vehicle arrived at the garage, [redacted] told Ms. [redacted] that her car required 6.3 quarts

of oil and the price would be $77.08. [redacted] also told her Mr. [redacted] told him to only add five quarts and

he would add the rest. Ms. [redacted] stated she did not want to drive her car low on oil so she approved

[redacted] to add the extra 1.3 quarts of oil. She told [redacted] she would deal with him (Mr. [redacted]) when she

got home. She signed the invoice which detailed her service and cost. She did not leave upset.

Mr. [redacted] did call back to the garage to complain about the price. He was the one who became

belligerent, verbally abusive, and threatening towards [redacted]. Whenever [redacted] tried to explain the

charges to him again he didn’t want to hear it. He M.F.'ed him throughout the conversation and

wanted to “come in and kick his as”. Mr. [redacted] repeated the same thing to me whenever I returned his

phone call.

l am not refunding his money. Mr. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] were both properly informed of the

correct price. The service was performed correctly and according to the vehicle’s specifications. There

was no theft by deception.

The response that was provided to you by the owner of this business is all a blatant lie. He is the one who threatened me if I filed this complaint. I was indeed quoted the price that I provided to you in my complaint by his incompetent employee ([redacted]). I am not accepting his account of the response and plan to take it to what ever level necessary to prevent this from happening to any other unsuspecting consumer. Apparently this is standard practice for Mr. [redacted] to deceive potential customers. It is my right, as a consumer, to be treated fair by any business and it is the business' responsibility to assure this takes place. Apparently Mr. [redacted] doesn't run his business this way!
