Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute It is disappointing to see that Ace Refrigeration & Appliance “ACE” (and their insurance provider) continues to propose an unacceptable recourse to address the damaged which they are responsible The offer to cover “Actual Cash Value Damages” is not applicable for 3rd Party claim To make us whole we are formally demanding that ACE and their insurance provider cover All Damages that flow from their negligence Among those damages include Full Actual Cost of Repair of our home, reimbursement of costs incurred for temporary substitute comparable housing, and appropriate out of pocket costs associated with the repair processes
In response to MrBrian [redacted] 's claim.Our insurance carrier (Traveler's Insurance Co.) has offered Mr [redacted] actual cash value damages for his homeMr [redacted] is seeking to be reimbursed for a hotel stay that was unnecessary and is asking to be reimbursed for meals that his family chose to eat in local restaurants over the course of a few daysWe feel that this hotel stay (which I believe was the Hilton Hotel in Southlake Town Center) was completely unnecessary After speaking with our insurance provider, we were informed that our insurance adjuster increased Mr [redacted] 's settlement offer by more than $to help with these expenses The [redacted] family took it upon themselves to stay in a hotel and eat meals in restaurants during the restoration of his kitchen floorThey were not instructed to do this in any wayWe regret that Mr [redacted] 's kitchen floor was damaged and we have made a reasonable effort to "make him whole"The owners of Ace Refrigeration and Appliance had their entire floor replaced in their own home and did not have to move into a hotel or eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner in local restaurantsWe feel that the offer made to the [redacted] family by our insurance company is fair and we should not be responsible for his unnecessary hotel stay and restaurant meals
