Ace used to be a great local company, with fair prices and good service. After their purchase by Waste Connections, a huge company based from Texas, that changed. Now calling means waiting forever on hold and not getting good answers from "customer service." I recently switched to a local hauler, with more than a 25% reduction in cost and their initial customer service seems great. I gave Ace a month's notice and we agreed when they would pick up their container. The day came and went and the can still sits at the end of my driveway. I had to call and they said, oops, we were too busy yesterday and can't be here until tomorrow. That will be three days of my trash can sitting at the street waiting to be picked up by Ace. The new hauler delivered my cans right on schedule, as committed. Seems to be a good change.
