Aces Towing towed my car,yes I was upset, but I was parked illegally, I had to pay my bill.At the end of the day they have a job to do also, and they have rules to follow,so get over it already, and park the right way, like I learned the hard way!

If there is to be a resolution I would suggest Mr [redacted] speak with me personally rather than through the Revdex.com.My office number is XXX-XXX-XXXX. There are two issues here. One is the dispute as to weather his vehicle should have been towed. Two is weather it was damaged by ACE. I welcome a call from Mr [redacted] and hope we can come to an acceptable resolution.

My car was illegally towed by this company and I was forced to pay $125.00 to get it back. My car was parked in a [redacted] parking lot and Ace towing and they towed it for no reason. There was cars parked in the same area. When I got out of the restaurant there was one of the drivers in an Ace tow truck and when I asked him he said he knew nothing about it. He was hanging around in the parking lot talking to people who were parked in the same area laughing and joking with them, They clearly know that they have any consumer because they can tow any vehicle and when you are forced to pay to get your vehicle back and they know that consumers cannot dispute the charge because you paid them and signed the credit card slip. They should be stopped from this racket they have learned.Desired SettlementI want my $125.00 payment back and an apology for the way I was treated by he person on the phone, the Ace towing operator who I encountered for laughing at me and lying.Business Response I understand Mr [redacted] frustration. It is very unnerving when your veh is towed and I am sorry for this inconvenience. Without more details of the tow, perhaps the vehicle make and date of tow or an invoice number. I can't speak specifically to the details of this tow. However if Mr [redacted] will call me I will be happy to discuss it with him and offer an explanation and " the other side of the story". I would also like to add that we are only allowed by law to tow from private property at the request of the property owner. I assume this is in refrense to the old [redacted] property on [redacted] If so we are authorized by the property owners,[redacted] to tow any vehicle parked on there property. There is quiet a bit of confusion associated with parking on these two properties. Mr [redacted] was probably on [redacted] property. I would refer him to the property owners for clarification or call me. Thank you [redacted] Ace Towing[redacted]

my daughter lives at property where my car was illegally towed. I have visited her there for 3 years while she completed law degree from [redacted]I was visiting my daughter and staying on property at [redacted] NC. I visit monthy for almost 3 years. I never park in number spaces or under building parking. The sign on building clearly states parking is for residents and guests and customers only, all others will be towed at owners expense. On Saturday night 6-7-14 I returned to property after dining with my daughter around 10:30pm and parked near dumpster, only space available. On Sunday morning we were going out for breakfast and the car was gone. Either car was stolen or illegally towed from property. Numerous calls were made to tow company-answering service. Service contacted tow company and verified they had car. They demanded cash only payment, nothing else accepted if you wanted to get car Sunday. Otherwise the car could not be claimed until Monday morning (6-9-14 Today!) My daughter drove me to [redacted] which is about 15 minutes away. This property has no on site management. The residents have a parking sticker but guests have no such temp sticker or placard to use when using property. My daughters car is registered to me as well. Why was my car taken when I noticed many other cars had no parking stickers the Sunday morning my car was stolen by the tow company. The tow bill indicated a time of 11pm-no way, it had to be much later. We would have heard a wrecker from condo.Desired Settlementdo not take car that belongs to residents mother. why was this car picked from all others? Read sign on property building that reads parking for residents, guests and customers all others towed at owners expense. I was visiting my daughter that just graduated [redacted] Law School, I pay her so my name should be on lease as resident too.Business Response Ace towed vehicle because it did not display parking pass. The pass indicates you are allowed by management to park in space. Ace is authorized by management to enforce parking rules Consumer Response no signs indicating that sticker was needed for guests of residents. mother was visiting daughter that has lived there 3 years. signs on property indicates residents, guests and customers parking only all others towed at owners expense. This car was parked legally on property according to all warning signs on property. Have photo of sign and says nothing of parking stickers/decal. you towed car illegally. [redacted] would not even call me after [redacted] Police contacted him about my complaint with this matter. this is outright wrong to tow someones car that is paying the rent at this property.

Ace Towing confiscated our vehicle and refused to surrender it to us within allotted time of initial tow (45 minute rule)After having our 2001 Nissan Frontier towed from an empty gravel lot on [redacted] Ave., near [redacted] at 7:15pm, 3/20/14, we endured an unfortunate three-hour long experience to retrieve our car from them, and all under false information and communication from the agents at their call center (XXX) XXX-XXXX. After reading through the FAQ on their website, the question for how to pick up your car replies with: "Call ahead if after hours and our 24/7 Customer Service representative will set up a time for you to pick it up." We were not granted that, nor was our vehicle surrendered to us within 45 minutes of initial tow, as required by law. After the initial tow at [redacted] Ave, we contacted the number to find out the cost and new location of our vehicle. The agent, female who did not give her name, did not alert us that, at 7:15pm, it was technically "after-hours" for them, nor did she notify us that the process involved having to wait for someone to arrive at the confiscated lot where our vehicle now was, unlock it for us, and then permit us to retrieve our car. To the contrary, we weren't given any of that information, we simply asked her the fee, described our vehicle to her, asked how to get to it, and told her that we were on our way. She confirmed this information and just ended the call, without even telling us that we were going to a closed location. Due to the fact that we had our dog with us, we were subject to walking to Ace Towing from [redacted] Ave. and [redacted] Street. This walk took 45 minutes. Before arriving at Ace Towing lot on [redacted] Street, we gave their call center another call and alerted them that we were on the street and almost at the location. At this point, 7:58pm, an agent told us that "nobody would be there to let us in because they were CLOSED." ?? This contradicted the original call we made at 7:15pm when we were told that they were open 24-7 to allow us to get our vehicle. We asked how long until someone arrived at the lot, and were told "15 minutes" at 8:00pm. However, at 8:35pm, we made another phone call because we were still sitting outside of the lot, in the dark, with no one yet to arrive. The agent who answered the call this time, another unnamed female, informed us that the driver was "at home" and would take "another 30 minutes" to arrive. I asked if it was more appropriate to come back during business hours because we weren't being given any definite times and merely sitting outside of a closed lot in the dark that read "Open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm." Again, the agent told me that "someone would be there." At 9:05pm, we called again to determine the validity of the information we were being given, and an agent, unnamed female, then began to tell us that, "She doesn't know what we are talking about. She has it noted in the computer that the driver would not be able to meet us until 9:30pm." At this point, we were going to eliminate the fact that we would be able to retrieve our vehicle for the night, and also debating the professionalism of our treatment. I asked the woman how many different individuals are at the call center answering the calls because the three calls that we made in that hour and half consisted of different information each time, and if we had been told, originally, that we would not be met at the lot until 9:30 pm, after being towed at 7:15pm, we would have prepared for that. The response that was given to my inquiry was "This is not up for discussion." And we were still without our vehicle at 9:30pm. We then waited outside of the lot on [redacted] St. until 9:45pm, and clearly the 9:30pm time we were previously given was not granted, so we opted to abandon our vehicle until the morning. My fiancée decided to give Ace Towing one last try, and called at 10:00pm. the agent told him that the driver was now, "around the corner." And as we walked back to Ace Towing location, the driver appeared and claimed that he was never notified of our presence the entire night.Desired SettlementFull refund of towing charges or legal prosecution will be pursued. Business Response I apologize for the delayed response. I confused this case with another pending case w Revdex.com. I thought the case was closed. I would like an opportunity to resolve this matter in a more satisfactory way. I have had problems with my answering service in the past and it sounds like its continuing. That is my problem and I take responsibility for it. Although Im not able to confirm, it sounds like the customer certainly has a legitimate complaint. Please have them contact me personally and I will make things right. My office number is XXX-XXX-XXXX. Thank you [redacted], owner

Illegal car towing My car was illegaly towed in front of my home last night. Owner of the business claims that he was notified by HOA to tow my car which is untruthful statement, since HOA has to issues parking warning letter before they even consider calling towing company. This is predatory towing company that is well known in Raleigh area for their unlawful operations; however, owner seems to have lots of connections in capital city of North Carolina. They hold your company car hostage, and try to bully you and intimidate you when you're trying to get your car back. They force you to pay on the spot, even though it is illegal and they should release your car if you present valid ID and ask to be billed by mail. Employees are so rude and use very disrespectful language with lots of profanity. Desired SettlementI would like apology and my money back.Business Response July 1st , 2016To whom it may concern. We recognize Mr. [redacted] event was an unfortunate one, however we follow the rules and regulations set by the property management. As for the towing fees, the prices are set and regulated by the City of Raleigh. Sincerely,[redacted]Owner Ace Towing & Recovery

Review: I parked illegally last night at an apartment complex called the [redacted]. In my defense, I was parked for 30 minutes to walk a dog, and the spots I have always parked in were very recently reserved for apartment owners. Fortunately there was a telephone number for Ace Towing & Recovery on a sign nearby, because this company has neither a website nor does it show up under towing listings in Charlottesville. The company is located 19 miles away from the apartment complex, about a thirty minute drive, which leads me to believe that a tow truck was already sitting and waiting for somebody to park illegally, if my car was at the lot by the time I left the apartment. Is that even ethical? When I spoke to the man on the phone last night, who refused to give me his name, he wanted me to pick the car up right then, at midnight, for a fee of $185. He said it would increase if I did not collect my car by 8am. He later called me at 2:30am, asking if I could pick the car up right then. I refused. When I arrived this morning, I arrived at a house in the countryside of Gordonsville with a tow truck and my car parked in the driveway. This is their "company" location. They do not have a credit card machine, but they were gracious to "discount" me at $140, rather than the original $185. I later called them, asking for an email and a legitimate website url, since I was unsure whether this was a legitimate company. The owner, who refused to give me his name and email, chewed me out, threatened to stalk me, and told me he would put my license plate number in each of his tow trucks in order to personally seek out my car. In addition, he called me a "hateful [redacted]" and told me to "kiss his [redacted]." I'm concerned that this company takes cash only, I'm frustrated that they are located 19 miles away from the apartment complex they are contracted with, I'm incredulous that I had to pay $140 cash for an 8-hour turnaround, and I'm offended at the way he just spoke with me. A very negative experience.Desired Settlement: I don't know if it's possible, but I would like a refund for the money I paid. I want the Revdex.com to check up on the legitimacy of his company, and I would also like that he is required to create a website and email account for all future victims of his towing company. It just didn't feel like a legitimate company. I feel personally threatened by him and will most likely quit this dog walking job in order to protect myself from him, if he does indeed wish to stalk me.
