I am rejecting this response because:
IT IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE THAT SHE EVER SAID THAT IT WAS $PER HOUR OR THAT IT WAS PER PERSON nor did she ever "refresh" the amount as is dishonestly stated in the response. This transaction has all the makings of a SCAM! ------------Simple Definition of scam
: a dishonest way to make money by deceiving peopleSource: Merriam-Webster's Learner's Dictionary------------I was deceived into believing this job was going to cost me $not over $because of the deceptive way the bid was given me. This meets every definition of scam there is and that is exactly what they are trying to pull. I was told $per hour and $for clean up. (On this note - one worker that they are charging $70/hr x did clean up - how is that equal to $15???) NEVER, EVER, EVER was the amount $given NOR WAS IT EVER SAID THAT IT WAS PER PERSON.A few other points of contention then based on their response:* Yes there are techny arborvitae - however they only trimmed of them.* The job was done very worthy of a $payment so that is why I stated that I was satisfied. HOWEVER - it is not a $job as I have pictures I can share: 1. I CLEARLY stated I wanted them all the same height and as is noted in their response, they made the side one height and the back another. 2. A huge 'hole' left in one of the trees. 3. Poor clean up beneath some of the trees - clippings left on the grass. 4. Still finding clippings in the garden and around the yard. 5. Many 'damaged' branches that were broken but not taken off. I have been having to keep up with cleaning that up ever since they left.I very much would like to bring some closure and resolution to this and have stated to them via e-mail that I am willing to compromise and come to an agreeable price - however, they WILL NOT EVEN RESPOND TO ME!

ID# [redacted]The complainer, [redacted], called for an estimate on March 29th 2016 to trim 25 Techny Arborvitaes to have all the same height and shape and to clean everything up and haul off site.  Jared, owner and estimator at Ace Tree & Landscape went to Db's property to look at the said 25...

arb's.  In looking at them Jared noticed there to be more than 25 arb's.  Jared counted 30 Arbs at approximately 10 to 11 feet tall and a few shorter than that in one area.  Francie, an employee of Ace Tree & Landscape that handles the customer inquiries, returned [redacted]'s call on March 31st and stated that we would accept the task that she was asking of our company for at the rate of $70 per hr per person. The current standard labor rate is between $65 to $80 per labor hour in our related line of work for a qualified skilled employee with any amount of small power and hand tools.  (This does not include drive time to arrive to the jobsite.  Only hours on site working.)  The hourly rate is calculated using the employees hourly pay rate, employee benefits, payroll taxes, workers compensation insurance, business liability insurance, tools used, and a profit for the company.  The equipment used for this job were as follows: 2 gas powered hedge trimmers, 1 gas powered extendable pole saw with a hedge trimmer attachment, ladder, stilts, (elevates laborer for reach of height), hand clippers leaf rakes, gas powered blowers, wheel barrel.  On April 11th [redacted] called our company wanting us to accept the task.  She stated that she had other estimates that were less but decided to hire us based upon the high referrals she had received about our company.  Francie refreshed with [redacted] the hourly rate of $70 per hour for each laborer and told her that we would call her before we would be proceeding with it.  We accepted the task.  Working around the weather  and timing for the proper time to trim evergreen shrubs Francie called [redacted] on June 6th to notify her that we could trim her shrubs the following day.  [redacted] said that she could be around in the afternoon, for she wanted to be home while we did the work, so we then met with her to get her expectations.  She stated that she is very particular and will have us do differently if she desires.  She wanted all of the shrubs to be the same height (finished height of 8 feet for the side hedge and 9 feet for the back hedge) and shape of the sides as well.  We, the team of 4 laborers, proceeded to complete the task.  When we thought that we were finished with the trimming Francie ask [redacted] to inspect our work.  [redacted] said "It turned out better than I expected" and that she was very happy with the results.  Francie wrote out an invoice for the time that we were all there which was 2 hrs. Two hours multiplied by four laborers at the rate of $70 per hour equaled $560.00 plus the taxable service rate of 7.375% brought the total to $601.30.  [redacted] questioned the amount stating that she thought it was only $30 per hour for four laborers. (Absolutely no company could survive at that rate.  That is only $7.50 per laborer per hour.)  We never mislead people of our rates and unfortunately 70% of our estimates are verbal.  Francie explained to [redacted] that the rate is what they spoke of before on the phone, $70 per hour per person.  [redacted] then wrote the check and handed it over to Francie for the total of $601.30.  We left the property and proceeded to the next jobsite.  After we completed the next job Francie noticed that [redacted] had left 2 messages in regards to being upset with the total cost and that she had stopped payment on the check.  [redacted] had also said in the messages that she we very pleased with the work but was not going to pay this amount.  Francie had left messages with [redacted] and [redacted] had left messages with Francie unable to get a hold of each other.  [redacted] said then in her last voicemail that she was going to only e-mail so that there is documented proof of each conversation.  We as a small company do not allocate the time for this continuance of disputing.  We told [redacted] the cost and it is what it is, just as any other service that a person were to hire for any type of work.  If we were to agree to her asking pay amount, instead of the actual cost, it only opens up our company for others to [redacted]ate the final costs in the future and a continuance of related circumstances.  We are a professional service that has been doing this type of work for 20 years.  We do a very outstanding quality of work with exceptional clean up and expect to receive payment according to our rates.  Certain jobs that are not exactly easily estimated upon the amount of time it would take and, or undetermined amount of trimming expectations to complete, we decide to have this hourly rate.  The check  from [redacted] did not clear when we deposited it into our business account.  [redacted] had stopped payment as she stated. The bank sent us a copy of the check and that is all that we are left with for our service.Ace Tree & Landscape [redacted]original document attached.
