Review: I dropped off my [redacted] vacuum at Ace Vacuums on March 8th for warranty repair for issues with suction and the brush bar. What followed was two months of calls (I probably made between 10 and 15 calls because I never got an update from Ace) and excuses on Ace's part as to why my vacuum wasn't yet fixed. I was told by Ace during that period that I needed to replace the filters at a charge of $60. I approved this charge under the assumption that my vacuum would be fixed. I finally picked up my vacuum on May 4th only for the clerk to tell me I owed $130. I indicated to him that I had not approved that large of a charge and was told it would be $60. He dropped it down to $63.60. I got my vacuum home to discover that not only were the suction and brush bar issues not fixed, but it now had a high pitched whine when in use that it didn't have before. I have since talked with [redacted] who indicated that I should not have needed to purchase new filters since the ones I had either should have been paid for by [redacted] as part of the warranty repair or washed out and reused. I have tried to contact Ace Vacuums twice through the website (once on May 6th, once on May 10th). I got a call from the manager of the [redacted] store on May 11th indicating that he would ask the manager of the [redacted] store to contact me on May 12th. I indicated to him that if I did not hear from the [redacted] store by close of business on May 12th I was contacting the Revdex.com and my credit card company to put this charge in dispute.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $63.60. I am happy to return the filters (they do not have the original packaging since I was not provided that by Ace) as long as Ace pays for shipping.
