We thoroughly regret that Mr and Mrs *** experienced trouble during their trip and extend our sincere apologiesUnfortunately, travel is not an exact science and things can go wrong and we only wish that they had communicated directly with us rather than file a complaintMr and Mrs *** used a
gift certificate they received to purchase a travel package through Delta Vacations that included air from Kansas City to Amsterdam, nights hotel in Amsterdam, nights hotel in London and return air from London to Kansas CityThey opted not to purchase rail tickets in advance between Amsterdam and London as they did not know what time they wanted to travel and knew they could purchase them in Amsterdam for the same priceThe flight to Amsterdam and the hotel stay in Amsterdam went smoothly but when they arrived at the hotel in London they were told they had no reservationAfter quick contact, we learned that there had been a breakdown in communication between Delta Vacations and the hotelDelta Vacations worked quickly to arrange an alternate hotel nearby at no additional expense to the *** party that was more than twice the cost of the hotel originally reserved In addition, Delta Vacations has agreed to refund via credit the cost of the hotel that was originally booked making their stay in London entirely free. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this situation caused and hope that our actions, and those of our partners demonstrate that we stand behind every reservation we handleWe strive to proceed trouble free travel arrangements for everyone but when these situations occur, we take them very seriously
