I am rejecting this response because: It is unfortunate that the issue of a to week wait time was not communicated to me until the end of AugustI made sever call to [redacted] and this was NEVER communicated to meIt is also unfortunate that not one call has been initiated by Achbach to inform me of their issuesAs for the main body part, it was not ordered until August according to [redacted] *** recordsHad it been ordered immediately, he would have had his most important part available Had I been told in advance of his to week wait time, I would have taken my care elsewhereAchbach has let my car set while working on dealership vehicles costing me now over $3,in rental car fees I find it disgraceful that Achbach feels the need to distort the factsAny good shop would have been in communication with their customer to keep them informed of their progress

I can sympathize with Mr. [redacted] His car has been here a long
time. I informed him when his car was towed in it would be 4 to 6 weeks before
we could start his car. His insurance company ([redacted]) wrote an
original estimate of 11,316.55. We wrote an estimate for 19,147.11. We...

had to
work from [redacted] estimate and send in supplements for additional repairs
as they came up. We have sent in 3 supplements of which 4239.52 is still
waiting to be approved but we are continuing with repairs without the final
approval from [redacted]. (saving all damaged parts)
The side body panel took about 3 1/2 weeks to arrive as
there were none in the US warehouses and the part had to come from Germany.
That is the main part we needed to get a good start on this repair.
6   weeks wait time (because of back log)
7    weeks to repair
3.5 weeks waiting on side body panel (BMW parts arrive in 2
to 5 days unless they come from
Germany)
1.5 weeks waiting for insurance company approvals on
supplements (still waiting for last one)
1    week waiting on other misc damaged parts
found during repair
19 weeks total for repairs  – plus a couple of days
when we are done for BMW Dealer to re-program SRS
On Monday September 29th the car will have been
here for 16 weeks.
We do a lot of hard hits. It is not possible to let
customers know exactly how long the cars will take to fix as there is damage to
the inner parts of the car. There are brackets, clips, rivets, all kinds of
small miscellaneous parts that have to be ordered on a daily bases as the
repair progresses.
It looks like Mr. [redacted] had only 4 weeks insurance paid
rental car which was used before repairs were started due to are backlog.

I am rejecting this response because: It is unfortunate that the issue of a 6 to 8 week wait time was not communicated to me until the end of August. I made sever call to [redacted] and this was NEVER communicated to me. It is also unfortunate that not one call has been initiated by Achbach to inform me of their issues. As for the main body part, it was not ordered until August according to [redacted] records. Had it been ordered immediately, he would have had his most important part available.
Had I been told in advance of his 6 to 8 week wait time, I would have taken my care elsewhere. Achbach has let my car set while working on dealership vehicles costing me now over $3,000.00 in rental car fees.
I find it disgraceful that Achbach feels the need to distort the facts. Any good shop would have been in communication with their customer to keep them informed of their progress.

Talked with [redacted] and he stated consumer picked up and paid for his car.  [redacted] knows of nothing further that needs addressed.
