Hello [redacted] font-family: arial, sans-serif;"> I am writing on behalf of Belal Abujami ([email protected]) (American Council for International Students) in regards to complaint filed on 01/20/2015 by [redacted]. I called your office today and explained that this is the 1st correspondence that we have ever received from you, dated March 9th. We have not received anything else previously, nor by email either. We would like to state our side of the story in regards to this complaint (ID [redacted]. We read her complaint on your site and it is absolutely false. This is what happened:On our contract (copy attached), student is supposed to select preferred school, location, and major. Since she did not specify name of the university, we have a right to choose any university within chosen state as long as its approved by SACM. We then performed extensive search within California and for MBA major, but since she was lacking required GMAT and IELTS scores, we were not able to find her a match. We informed student about this situation, but were not able to get a hold of her; therefor we sent numerous emails and left voice mails stating that we couldnt find anything in California for MBA without required scores. Our next step of action was to look outside California for school that would grand admission on conditional bases without requirement of GMAT and IELTS score. We were able to successfully find Wichita State University that fit her requirements and did not ask for other scores to be present for application process. We have discussed this option with the student and she agreed to be applied there. In the middle of the process, she informed us that she is no longer interested in going to this school and would like to receive a refund. We decided to do our calculations: per our contract it specifies that if admission isnt provided, we will subtract cancellation fee plus number of days worked (times $11.11/day) from te original paid sum. Our contract fee is $500, but the student only paid us $250, so therefore, since we worked for 30 days (times $11.11) and minus $75 cancellation fee, it equals to: $-158.30, which clearly says that student OWES us money and we do not owe her anything, but since we always strive to please our customers, we offered to search for another University free of charge.Student didnt like this option and insisted that we still give her money back. She then came to our office with her friend that was acting very inappropriate and rude, disturbing employees from their job and demanding to be given her copies of her documents. Also, she wanted to speak to our Boss ([redacted], but he was absent that day. Our employee gathered her documents and was about to make a copies for her, but her friend forcefully grabbed her case and left with it. When we tried asking her to give it back, she refused, because she did not want us to make copies. Their behavior was unacceptable and verbally violent.student adviser---------------------------------------------American Council for International Students7710 Balboa Ave. #325San Diego, California 92111Office: 1-858-2684170
