Review: I had electricity problems in my condominium in April 2015, such as power surge burned, lights flickering whenevr a big appliance was in use and tv no longer working. I contacted the electrical company to resolve my issue and troubleshoot. The electrician, Mr Anthony C[redacted] came and informed me this was a very dangerous situation which can lead to an electrical fire if not immediately rectified and said my breakers needed to replaced. The box is located outside and around the corner from where I reside. Mr C[redacted] said he replaced the breakers and after he was finished doing so at the box the lights were working normally. I was very grateful because that was a scary predicament to be in at home and Im not able to fix electrical problems on my own. Mr C[redacted] told me that other condiminium owners who reside in the same unit as me (4 to a unit) needed theier breakers replaced also. He spoke to the manager of the peroperty where I resied, mountainview and was able to get contract work replacing other breakers for other units. Well on this past Saturday, october *, I began experiencing the same problems lights flickering on and off...it started on Friday and it assumed it was from Storm Joaquim but it was not. It was the same electrical issue and my room and power surge smelled like smoke. I called Mr C[redacted] on Saturday evening when I came home because I then realized it was an electrical issue. I also called the fire department becasue I was scared for my own safety. The fire department told me to contact an electrician. I was able to get in contact with another electrical company. They too needed to get to the breaker box along with the property handyman and what they discovered was that the breaker was never replaced but only cleaned. Therefore that's why 6 mos later Im having the same electrical issue. On my receipt Mr C[redacted] stated he replaced my breaker which was a LIE and it put my life in danger. I paid $320 for his services along with a $30 tip, my property office reimbursed me $260. I want my $90 back from Mr C[redacted] because he did not make proper repairs that he stated he did, he simply put a bandaid on the electrical issues. To make matters worse he suppossedly replaced breakers in condo 4 also in my unit and the electrician and handyman stated that breaker was also old and not replaced. I want some kind of settlement because this is not sfe electrical work and people's lives are put in danger.Desired Settlement: I want funds back and an apology.

Response:

I did not say the breaker needed to be changed. The problem was a loose Neutral in the Electrical meter pan that was causing the flowering lights. The breaker at the time of service was working fine. I cleaned the terminals of oxidation build up for the neutral and the breaker terminals added Penetrox and reconnected neutral wire and feed wires to existing breaker. I replaced breaker to the meter pan and replaced neutral wire to the neutral terminal.I am not responsible for any reimbursement of any funds for I did my job but will give her $90.00 back to keep her happy. As to an apology The services I provided was not a bad breaker at the time because here flickering light was no longer present for some time before the flickering light came back.
