Made a purchase to this website based on their faudulent advertising. They claim to be approved and accredited and are actually not. Asking for refundOn 1-13-2016 I purchased an ACLS course, BLS course, and NRP course on the website ACLS certification institute for $352.75. Their website claims that these courses are all approved for continuous education hours, and approved by the AHA, which is the reason I made the purchase. I need the education credits to maintain my respiratory license. Once I received the certificates I realized they are fraudulent and not approved for education hours or approved by the AHA as their website claims. I sent an email asking for a full refund.Desired SettlementI want a full refund to my credit card

THEY TOLD ME VAI E-MAIL I COULD HAVE A REFUND AND IT HAS NOT BEEN ISSSUED.I DONT FEEL COMFORTABLE TAKING THIS COURSE AND ASKED FOR A REFUND. HERE IS A COPY OF THE EMAIL FROM 08/23/2013Dear [redacted]We have received your request. Please allow 30 days for this to reflect your account, as that is the length of our billing cycle. Thank you for your patience, have a good day. --Sincerely, ACLS Certification Institute Administration 1289 Fordham Blvd Suite 221 Chapel Hill, NC XXXXX Ph: X-XXX-XXX-XXXX Fax: X-XXX-XXX-XXXX Email: [redacted]@aclscertification.com Site: http://www.aclscertification.com Desired SettlementFULL REFUND OF $275Business Response Our customer has recently been refunded and mailed payment via check. We have informed them of such.Consumer Response They sent me an E-mail stating that they are going to send me a check by mail. It is not here yet and as soon as I receive it and cash it and it clears I will be getting a hold of you with a follow up email. Until this happens I do not consider this matter satisfactory competed.Thank you Consumer Response I just wanted to update you and thank you for your help. The ACLS Certification LC has sent me a USA postal money order for $275. I now consider this complaint resolved.

ACLS institute is advertising with two different websites sharing the same link and business address but with different refund policies.Problem date: 7/12/16Purchase date: 7/11/16order number: [redacted]name on order: [redacted]website(s): [redacted]payment amount: $272.00payment method: [redacted]The ACLS Certification Institute has two websites that look almost identical with the same business address and [redacted] page but apparently they have a different refund policy with one (3 days) and the other (no refund). Since both websites state they are from the same institute and link to the same social media pages and offer the same priced packages I was under the impression they offered the same policies and credentials. After receiving my receipt and realizing part of my order was not correct (including a BLS recertification I did not intend to order) I began trying to contact the ACLS certification institute within 6 hours of the purchase. I did not receive a response from them for over 13 hours, no one answered their business phone despite numerous attempts during working hours and once they finally emailed me back they claimed that the companies operate as separate entities and that the one I ordered from [redacted] had a strict NO refund policy whereas [redacted].com is the one with the 3 day refund window. The told me they couldn't do anything about giving me a refund and when asked why two separate entities would share the same business address, same [redacted] page, and were part of the same institute they just said that is something they would have to discuss with their marketing team about.I ordered from [redacted].com due to the fact that their website's [redacted] link led me to [redacted]acls.com which led me to believe that I was ordering from an institution that gave me a "3-day right to rescind and receive a full refund" like their website states in its refund policy. It is completely misleading to have two different companies share the same exact [redacted] page and come from the same institution and then state they have different policies. I have not used any of the material from the courses or received any type of certification and placed my order only 24 hours ago.Desired SettlementA full refund of $272.00.Business Response Contact Name and Title:Contact Phone: Contact Email: Ms. [redacted] contacted ACLS Certification Institute and requested a refund. We unfortunately could not grant her that request. She claims that the company's [redacted] page is linked to both websites. That claim is false. Ms. [redacted] was mistaken which site she purchased her course through. Unfortunately for her she did purchase from ACLScertification.com and as per the Frequently Asked Questions page on that site:Can I get a refund if I am not satisfied with this course? We are committed to offering you the best ACLS training available online. Your satisfaction is important to us with the purchase of our training program. Please review our testimonials page above for our "Live Uncensored Customer Reviews". We successfully certify and recertify thousands of medical providers each month, and we aim to continue to improve our courses on a regular basis. All purchases are final once made, however course access is allowed indefinitely - even after one has successfully passed the final exam. Also stated on the Terms page for all of our students is the following disclaimer/instruction. After registration has been completed, the purchaser will not be able to obtain a refund for the ACLS, PALS, NRP or BLS course. It is the obligation of the individual buyer to determine his or her organization's requirements for ACLS, PALS, NRP or BLS certification before registering for our course. As our policy states all sales are final and refunds will not be given. We are sorry that Ms. [redacted] was confused by the two websites that share similar names and features, but she purchased from ACLScertification.com which does not offer refunds of any kind. Operations ManagerACLSConsumer Response I think my previous statement was misread. I did not say that the [redacted] page is linked to both sites I wrote that "ACLS institute is advertising with two different websites sharing the same [redacted] link". To go into further detail, I originally found the company at www.[redacted] and began looking at prices. I then wanted to look at some customer reviews and get further information so at the top right hand corner of the main screen on www.[redacted] I clicked on the round [redacted] icon which directed me to the [redacted] page "https:[redacted] I read through reviews, watched a few of the videos and clicked on the "about" tab. Under the about tab there is a link directed to "[redacted]" which I assumed was just the home page for the institute. Upon clicking that web link that led me to [redacted] there is a link on the bottom titled "refund policy" which states the following "3-Day Right to Rescind: Students have the right to rescind their enrollment agreement and receive a full refund of any amounts paid to ACLS Certification Institute, which you must exercise in writing within three (3) business days from the day you submit the online purchase or sign the written purchase order. You must deliver a written rescission of the enrollment agreement to ACLS Certification Institute within such 3-day period, or if the rescission is mailed, it must be postmarked on or before the last day of the 3-day period. The right to rescind is void if you have completed the training program." I would have never went to "[redacted]" if I had not clicked on the [redacted] icon on "www.[redacted] that led me to the [redacted] link of /ACLScertification/" which directed me to the website "[redacted]"So after reading the refund policy and other information on "[redacted]" I went back to my original tab that I pulled up at "www.[redacted]" and purchased my package since I had already began filling in information and taking practice tests to get a 20% off discount code emailed to me. I also sent a [redacted] message to the [redacted] page at [redacted]/ACLScertification/" when I was first trying to get ahold of the institute the morning after my purchase. When they had responded I had already gotten ahold of someone from the support team from "www.[redacted]." The [redacted] message I received back stated "Hi [redacted], I just talked with our Operations team and it sounds like you've already worked with them. Best, [redacted] ACLS Certification Institute."I'm unsure how [redacted] from that [redacted] page would know I spoke with someone from "www.[redacted]" if you are telling me I am false in saying that both websites link to the same [redacted] page.Final Business Response Ms. [redacted] has contacted ACLS Certification Institute again regarding a Revdex.com complaint that she filed. She purchased a course on [redacted] which clearly states on the terms page: After registration has been completed, the purchaser will not be able to obtain a refund for the ACLS, PALS, NRP or BLS course. It is the obligation of the individual buyer to determine his or her organization's requirements for ACLS, PALS, NRP or BLS certification before registering for our course.Ms. [redacted] claims that she was misled because of a shared link to [redacted]. These two sites look completely different and offer different programs. It is for this reason that they have a different refund policy. We are sorry that there was confusion on Ms. [redacted]'s part. We have validated that the sites can be accessed in the way that Ms. [redacted] claims. We apologize for the confusion and have since made a request for a change to keep this from happening to another student. For this reason we will be refunding Ms. [redacted] the full amount of her purchase. [redacted] Operations ManagerACLS Certification Institute

Company is not AHA verified, company is refusing to refund my money, although I have not used their services at all.I purchased the ACLS certification course for $275. I was well aware that my hospital required an AHA certified ACLS course. I searched all over the website prior to purchasing and was unable to find anything that stated this was not an AHA certified course, so I purchased it. Within 30 minutes of purchasing, I found one sentence in the Terms & Conditions that states this is not an AHA certified course. This was not even stated in the FAQ section. Everything on the website makes one think this is an AHA certified course, but does not directly say it is not. The website also states it is "Based on the lasted AHA Guidelines." The course is not based on the LATEST AHA guidelines. I waited up after my long overnight shift, until the customer service opened at 9am to speak with someone, in which no one answered the phone. I proceeded to call them all day, leave voicemails in an attempt to resolve the issue. I also emailed multiple times. I explained that I had not utilized any part of their course an had no intention of doing so, therefore was asking for a refund. They responded to me only by email, did not give me the decency to talk to anyone, and responded with a direct quote from their Terms and Conditions stating "After registration has been completed, the purchaser will not be able to obtain a refund for the ACLS, PALS, NRP or BLS course. It is the obligation of the individual buyer to determine his or her organization's requirements for ACLS, PALS, NRP or BLS certification before registering for our course." I understood this was their policy, however it was not clearly stated anywhere on the website that this was not an AHA verified course, and was in fact, very misleading. I was well-aware of my institutional requirements and was mislead by their website, without any possibility of receiving an answer from ACLS Certification Institute prior to the purchase. When I explained how unsatisfied I was, the continued to deny a refund. I have not used any part of their course (not even their modules) and am not planning on it. I am expecting a full refund of my course, since it was their deceiving website that lead me to purchase the course in the first place.Desired SettlementI am seeking a full refund of the course for the value of $275 returned to my credit card.Business Response ACLS Certification Institute does not make any claims on the website that we are affiliated or certified with the American Heart Association. As written on our site it explains: The ACLS Certification Institute is a 100% online, nationally accepted and accredited, AHA guideline based training center administered by licensed certified medical doctors. With our online program you can receive your ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), BLS (Healthcare Provider) or PALS certification or recertification card in just a matter of hours. Our online program is based on the most recent American Heart Association cognitive guidelines and standards for ACLS, PALS and BLS training. We are required to reference the AHA guidelines due to the AHA being the entity that has been commissioned by ILCOR (International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation) to distribute these guidelines in the United States. ILCOR is the International committee responsible for coordination of all aspects of cardiopulmonary and cerebral resuscitation worldwide. The AHA does not certify or approve any class or course that is not taught by them, this includes our company, the Red Cross, and the ECC. They are not a governing body and do not have the right to certify or approve. Our company is providing the same type of Pre-Hospital education as the American Heart Association, in essence, we are competition. They will never approve of our course. It also states in our terms and conditions for every prospective student that: All purchases are final and no refund will be given for any reason, including FAILURE OF ANY ORGANIZATION OR INSTITUTION TO ACCEPT LICENSOR'S CERTIFICATION CARD. Having explained all of this, I have looked over the situation and have determined to refund Ms. [redacted] in full. This is based solely on the fact that Ms. [redacted] contacted us as soon as she did, and has not yet completed the course. [redacted]Operations Manager

Our website does not claim [redacted] approval, affiliation, or acceptance. Furthermore, ACI Home, Terms and Conditions, FAQ's and Course Description webpages clearly state the National Board for Continuing Emergency Medical Education as the credentialing body for certification issued as well as the following statement policy : "Our ACLS, BLS, NRP and PALS certification is not approved by the [redacted] due to the fact that the [redacted] does not approve or accredit any fully online course or any other providers besides their own affiliated training centers. It is up to the purchaser of the course to review his or her organizational requirements to clarify whether or not they will accept our card. After registration has been completed, the purchaser will not be able to obtain a refund for the ACLS, PALS, NRP or BLS course. It is the obligation of the individual buyer to determine his or her organization's requirements for ACLS, PALS, NRP or BLS certification before registering for our course."We do successfully certify thousands of providers each month, however, it seems like your employer has a "brand preference" and only wants you to take the [redacted] affiliated brand course. There are many other providers of ACLS and PALS training besides just the [redacted] affiliated training centers. We are our own provider, much like[redacted] 2 of the largest accredited certification companies in the United States. Each organization distributes documents bearing their logo. Neither the [redacted] or the [redacted] are credentialing bodies, they can not approve, accept, acknowledge or accredit other organizations. The [redacted] themselves publish the guidelines but they do not directly accredit or certify anyone.Perhaps you can explain to them that our course materials are based on the latest [redacted] guidelines. If you cannot work out an approval, a refund will not be possible, as it states in our Terms of Service and homepage that a refund is not attainable after course purchase. Please let us know if you have any questions and we are sorry for the inconvenience.

As our policy states all sales are final and refunds will not be given. Furthermore, Mr.[redacted] makes reference to a page that he found while conducting a [redacted] search. What he is looking at is a cached blog post from our site dated back to September 2012. Unfortunately Mr.[redacted] has misread the statement made on this page and misunderstood what it was stating. In the statement it is pointed out that there are many companies that claim to be [redacted] approved, but as stated above the [redacted] cannot "Approve" courses from other companies. They do however publish the guidelines that all programs are required to adhere to, and that is what is stated in the following paragraph. "Most web organizations that offer ACLS certification courses also offer a renewal course for professionals who need to update their provider card. It's more difficult to find a course that is [redacted] accredited or approved, and there are many illegitimate organizations trying to persuade visitors to register for their programs without being [redacted] approved. But there are many legitimate institutions online offering ACLS renewal courses that are [redacted] guideline based."Consumer Response My statement is that, ACLS certification does post a topic" Online ACLS certification [redacted] approved". and there is a direct link of the class just below the topic.ACLS used the technique of paronomasia to persuade students who were looking for online ACLS [redacted] proved class to attended their class. There are some student like me who spent their trust to the topic and attended the class. And also ACLS used the paronomasia technique to make people feel they are the one [redacted] approve. For example :" It's more difficult to find a course that is [redacted] accredited or approved, and there are many illegitimate organizations trying to persuade visitors to register for their programs without being [redacted] approved. But there are many legitimate institutions online offering ACLS renewal courses there are [redacted] guideline based."(first paragraphHere is a logical trick they are playing. they used comparison sentence to tell the visitor that they are the opposite of "illegitimate organizations" and " [redacted] not approved." That means they are the legitimate institution and [redacted] approved.Furthermore, they said that it is a blog post longtime ago, but how come the link of the course below the topic" Online ACLS Certification [redacted] Approved" are worked and updated. Just one click, the link will lead us to the course registration page. They are the one responsible of the topic they post.If they did recognize that is a improperly advertisement, that is a shame. I believe I am not the only one registered their course because of that, and I strongly recommend they to delete this page of website. It is mislead people. I hope there are more honest business instead of that focus on tricking customers with word games.

I was charged twice for ACLS recertification. $ 175 X 2I purchased a course online ACLS recertification on Friday October 30th for $ 175 but to my surprise I was charged twice $ 175 X 2I tried to call their office so many times but never received a call back. I tried email with no response. I believe they are fraudulent and misleading Desired SettlementI need my money back since they charged me twice and I need an apology from themBusiness Response The filer of this complaint purchased ACLS re-certification for $175.00USD on 10/30/15 at 4:12pm PST and again at 4:16pm PST. ACLS Certification Institute customer support is closed Saturday and Sunday and requires 24 hours to process all billing requests. This buyer contacted ACLS Certification Institute by email on Wed 11/4/15 at 6:34am PST and notified the billing department of her duplicate purchase. $175.00USD was refunded back to the buyer on 11/4/15. Wrongly informed that the ACLS & BLS certification would be accepted by healthcare employers as it states in advertising it uses AHA guidelines. After being informed healthcare facilities that require ACLS & BLS would accept this companies certifications as they follow AHA guidelines, I then paid $240 for the course on 11/7/2015. Once purchased I was informed by the travel nursing company that hired me that only AHA certification is accepted by them and all healthcare facilities of which they contract.I called the ACLS Certification Institute to request a refund several times and was transferred to the billing dept. I spoke with two different representatives as well as leaving messages on voice mails over the following two weeks regarding need for refund as I was wrongfully informed at the time of purchase. I sent a few e-mails as well but got no response. I called again, several times over the next month and still no response. I paid $240 for the combined courses of ACLS & BLS on 11/07/2015 using my banking debit card. The account/payment number is XXXXX. I started having medical issues after Christmas that prevented me from working and forgot to do anymore follow-ups. I found my receipt today, 05/27/2016, and called the company again. I was informed that the company had been bought out by another company and I could not get a refund as the current owners are not responsible for purchasing refunds for the previous owners. They did however state I could take another course with the current ownership, which in itself led me to believe that they were taking responsibility but just not in refunding of money. I asked what the difference was in taking responsibility to allow me to take another course versus not taking responsibility with refunding my money but they gave no reply. The other two courses offered are $275 a piece and was told I can pay the $35 difference and select one of the two.I don't understand why they will not give me a refund but will trade out for another course.Because I could/cannot use the ACLS & BLS certification courses I paid for with this company I was not only out $240 but additional $275 to purchase and take the certification courses through the AHA.Desired SettlementI would like a refund of the $240 paid to this companyBusiness Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] Operations ManagerContact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@careerstep.comACLS Certification Institute does not make any claims on the website that we are affiliated or certified with the American Heart Association. We did however offer her the opportunity to transfer the credit that she had purchased with the company to a certification that she may need that she did not already have. Ms. [redacted] had informed us that she already purchased and completed the AHA course. She declined this offer as it was going to cost $35 more for the certification that she requested. As our policy states all sales are final and refunds will not be given. We will however offer Ms. [redacted] the same offer that we made to her over the phone, this time we will waive the additional $35 charge and just use her credit straight across for the course that she would like.

No one is available to answer a call or email.Called multiple times after proceeding to checkout. I have called every department and left voice messages. I even sent an email. No one answers a call. Can't cancel order! I immediately realized that this organization is not AHA approved though it appears on the ACLS recertification page. I want my order canceled. Desired SettlementI want my order canceled and credited. I immediately called upon placing the order. This issue has been resolved. A credit was applied back to my credit card.
