Acme Movers damages 2 items during our move over a month ago. We still have not received the repaired items despite repeated calls.Acme Movers moved us just under 20 miles to our apartment on May 4, 2015. During the move they damaged a headboard and a small table. They brought the damage to our attention and stated that they would take the items to be repaired (at their expense). Because the headboard is an integral part of the frame, we have had to place the boxspring and mattress directly on the floor. We have called every week requesting that they please finish the repair and deliver the items, especially the headboard as my wife has had to sleep on the sofa because she cannot get up and down from the bed because of her health. A month later and they keep telling us "by the end of the week". After all of this, we've finally purchased another bed hoping that my wife can get some relief. We just want our items repaired and returned so that we can get on with our lives. If they cannot return them in the week, I'd like to purchase the same or similar headboard and table and be reimbursed. The Headboard was taken apart and the molding was specially fabricated. After fabrication of molding and reassembly of headboard, stain was applied. This takes several applications and must go thru a drying process. Last application of stain was applied on 18 June. Once the stain dries the furniture will be delivered to customer. Acme has spoken with the customer several times about the time involved in the repair process. Its Acme Movers mission to give Quality Moves to our customers.
