This message is nothing but a lie to make them look goodThey are compulsive liersI am not satisfied with this response because they are not offering to help pay for any of the damage the vehicle I bought from them came withI want a $1,refund! I will pay the other $1,I think its fair that I split the costs with them.Thank you I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] ***

This review is very misleading and is not an accurate depiction of the events that took placeThe customer called from *** *** to discuss the vehicle and the vehicle was described to the customer accuratelyIt was stated to the customer that the vehicle was in good condition but not
perfectIt was stated the jeep had been checked over mechanically and state inspected and that we had put in a new battery as the battery that was in the vehicle appeared to be weakWe also explained that we serviced the vehicle by changing the oil, oil filter, air filter, and also had to replace a couple of exterior bulbsThis vehicle was a Jeep Wrangler with almost 90k miles and it was explained very clearly to the customer, that while this Jeep appeared to be in mechanically sound condition, it was a Jeep Wrangler and they do have several mechanical characteristics that could result in repairs at some point and that is when an extended warranty was brought up to the customerThe customer was advised that an extended warranty would be a wise investment, especially due to the nature of Jeeps in generalThe customer then decided that he would rather have the vehicle discounted rather than keep the month/5,mile powertrain warranty that we provide on qualifying vehiclesThe customer has declined any extended warranties as well, even though the extended warranties were offered to the customer at our wholesale costThe vehicle was discounted heavily to almost cost and the customer decided to make the drive and purchase the vehicleChristmas eve was the only day in which the customer could make the drive and have the time to purchase the vehicleWe kindly obliged and met the customer on Christmas eve so that he could check the vehicle over, test drive, and then purchase the vehicle if he decidedAfter test driving the vehicle and returning, the customer stated, he crawled under the vehicle and found some oil seepage around the oil panAfter the salesman explained that it could be something as simple as an oil pan gasket, but that the mechanic was not working on Christmas eve, it was an educated guessThe salesman also offered to have the Jeep looked at upon return from the Christmas Holiday to confirm this diagnoses and explained that whatever the problem was, we would certainly fix the issueThe customer declined this, and said that he would take an additional discount on the vehicle instead and take care of the issue himselfIt was also explained again at the time of sale that we would be happy to sell the customer an extended warranty at our cost and that the vehicle qualified for Preferred Warranties best warranty and could be covered for up to years, and the customer declined the warranty againThe customer waited three days and then called and explained that he had a check engine light come on the jeep and stated it was showing a faulty EGR valveIt was unfortunate that the EGR valve malfunctioned just a few short days after the customer purchased the vehicle and even though the customer purchased the vehicle AS IS, we decided to help the customer and cover the cost of the EGR valve as good will gesture and to let the customer know that we sympathized with his frustration of having a check engine light come on soon after he purchased the vehicleAs this point, the customer was elated that we offered to do so, and was very happy with the customer service he received up to this point including the willingness to meet him on a holiday, working with him on the price of the vehicle, and then offered to fix an issue even though he purchased the vehicle AS IS and with no warrantyIt was roughly a week and half to two weeks later that we hear from the customer again, and he states that the oil leak was in fact the oil pan gasket as discussed prior to him purchasing the vehicle, that we discounted the vehicle to allow addressing this issue, but that the mechanic he took it to found another leakAt this point, the customer decided to threating litigation, and to post negative reviews and vowed to make it a personal mission of his to disrupt our business and to make sure that in his words, cost usUp until the point the customer had been happy with his purchase and happy with the customer service he had received and without merit the customer decided to handle the situation in a hostile mannerIf the customer would have called and explained the issues he was having, we would have been happy to try and help the customer with the issues he was having, even though we heavily discounted the vehicle to allow for some minor repairs and the customer, even knowing prior to purchasing the vehicle had some minor issues that needed to be addressed, still declined the purchase an extended warrantyIt is unfortunate the customer feels the way he does about the situation, but when we have explained everything in detail prior to the purchase, offered extended warranty at cost, and accommodating in every way possible, I don't know what else we could have doneWhile we check our vehicles out thoroughly, it is impossible to know when or what repairs may be needed to a used vehicle down the road no matter how much time has passed after the sell of the vehicleWe are very honest, hard working people, and go above and beyond to offer excellent customer service as we hold our integrity with the utmost of valueWe hope this customer comes to realize this and wish him well and hope he enjoys the Jeep he purchased
