[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. Regards, Kendra K***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We hired another company to complete a large portion of the interior painting in our new homeAs we cleaned and prepared to move in we noticed that there was quite a bit of overspray left on our floors and the trim they painted was peeling within 2-weeksThese results prompted us to look for a different painter and we subsequently ended up contracting ACN PaintingWe initially asked *** to quote the exterior paintingWe checked with the references he provided and made the decision to move forward with ACN Painting for the exterior paintingExterior painting was postponed as we were having windows (not all as *** claims) and an exterior door replacedIn the meantime, we contracted ACN Painting to re-paint the interior trim that was peeling, patch a drywall hole, paint the kitchen walls, paint door casings and paint doorsHe said he did throw in painting shelf supports in our pantry at no extra chargeWe have attached that estimate and receipt for referenceWe did not ask him to do it for free, but to quote what it would cost to add itIt was his choice to complete it at no extra charge(We would like to note that at least of the shelf supports were not completely painted). In order to complete the interior work they did use small ladders, some tools and were moving interior doors in and out of the house*** and his co-worker arrived and began painting without throughly masking or laying drop cloths to protect the floor, contrary to what was outlined in the estimateThe fact that they are professional painters combined with knowing our previous experience this should have been the first stepWe requested that they better protect the floorsThe protection they provided was minimal, including a lack of drop cloths in the carpets bedroomsWhen they painted the trim they did not protect the floors around all of the trim and did drag a paint can around on the floor with them as they painted*** and his co-worker finished the interior painting days behind scheduleAfter they were done, we began cleaning up and getting the house back in orderIn doing so we noticed several scratches on our hardwood floors. Additionally, two of the doors that they painted were already peelingWe contacted *** about these issues within days and provided photo documentation (We still ave the photos if necessary)He was responsive and said he would try to make it rightWe declined his help with the floors as we were not confident that he knew what he was doingWe agreed to have him fix the doors since that was paint relatedWe did not bring this up in our initial complaint with the Revdex.com as we had tried to come to terms to settle these issues among ourselvesHowever, since *** brought these issues up it is worth noting that this experience heavily influenced the fact that we will not allow him or anyone he hires to return to work on or in our home againWe would also like to note that the doors that he did “fix” are peeling again (another cost we will have to incur if we would like them repainted properly or replaced) and we have since found paint on our carpet (ACN painting was the only painter to paint in the bedrooms after the carpet was installed)We have photos of these if necessary as well. We would like to address the issue of our childrenThey do sword fight with plastic swords and foam pool noodlesOccasionally they do throw small plastic toys as most children doIt is ludicrous to think that this would cause scratches throughout the house in the very same areas that ACN painting placed their tools or used as access points/traffic paths to move doors. We should have gone with our gut and hired a different painter to complete the exterior workHowever, due to the responsiveness and willingness to make things right we agreed to have ACN Painting complete the exterior paintingWe did ask for a monetary discount to offset the damage to the floorsInstead *** offered to paint a short layer of dry-lock around the houseAgain, we cannot be blamed for the choices that *** chose to make for his business. Upon completion of the exterior painting, we walked around the perimeter of the house and looked at thingsThey did seem to do much of what was outlined in the estimate (see attached) in terms of repairing wood and stucco damageWe did catch a few items and they did address them for the most partThe chicken wire was not replaced the way it was originally installed (as outlined in our original complaint with the Revdex.com)*** did offer to return to fix itIt should be noted that *** asked if we had any chicken wire as he did not want to purchase anyMoreover, if I had allowed *** to perform this task it should be free of charge since they removed it and promised to reinstall it as it was originally installedAs noted in the original complaint with the Revdex.com, it was between the completion date of the exterior painting and when *** was scheduled to return to reinstall the chicken wire that we noticed the paint chips and broken roof tilesIt was at that point we decided that we would not allow anyone from ACN Painting to do any work on or in our home again. As for the broken roof tiles - again of the tiles were near windowsWhen those windows were replaced we inspected the areas throughlyThat area of the roof is clearly visible from the windows and we know there was no damage at that time as that is one of the things we specifically assessed when the replacement windows were installed(The other windows or exterior door that were replaced are not near the roof and did not require any roof access.) When we brought the broken roof tiles up to *** he would not take responsibility for themHe maintains they did not have to walk on this area of the roof during painting, but this area was masked and covered when they were completing their paintingThus, at some point someone on the crew made contact with itIf they were indeed broken prior to the exterior painting, the crew should have brought them to our attention before continuing in those areasAdditionally, as stated in our original complaint with the Revdex.com, additional roof tiles were found broken when the licensed roofer came to repair the damageThose tiles were found in an area of the roof that has no windowsIt is along a small area of stucco and trim that needed to be paintedThus, the only party possibly responsible for those broken tiles is ACN Painting. Our home is two storiesWe completed a walk through from the groundWe did not think it would be necessary to climb up on a ladder every feet to inspect the painting near the roofline, etcThis is why we hired a licensed professional to complete the work in the first placeAs a result we did not see the inch stucco hole that allowed the bees into our homeThe fact that *** confirms that they never saw or experienced any signs of bees while they were completing the exterior painting makes our case that had they in fact done their job correctly we never would have had bees in our homeWe would not expect a painter to take care of the bees or any other pestsHowever, we do expect that a painter, or any contractor for that matter, to complete the work they outlined in a professional and complete mannerA 2”x2” inch hole in the stucco (vsa hairline crack) is a huge oversight in this case. I did not become hostile with *** in any wayI expressed my disappointment with yet more damage to our home after ACN Painting was contracted to perform finish workI told him to gather his ladder from my property, which he left for nearly a week, and not returnWe did not give him the chance to “make things right” because at this point the evidence was piled high that ACN Painting is not adequately equipped to make any of their mistakes rightAdditionally, the damage they caused was more than paint relatedJust as we would not expect ACN Painting to complete pest control, we would not expect or trust them to complete roof repairsThis is precisely why we had to contract the services of other professionals in those fields to repair the damage done to our homePaying for those services would be the closest equivalent to making things right at this point. No such review accusing *** of being an alcoholic was posted by me or anyone I knowTo date we have only posted review on ***It was posted in mid-December Note: we were waiting until the roof and chicken wire were repaired completely and we had cost totals before taking any action or posting any reviewsThe chicken wire was not reinstalled by the roofer until November 8, We have documentation of when services were performed if neededIt is our right as consumers to post honest accounts of our experience with any businessWhen posting any review our goal is to provide other consumers with information that may be pertinent to their decision makingWhether a review is negative or positive is dependent largely, if not entirely, on the service and quality of work provided by the business. On October 27, 2014, *** texted me and asked me to stop posting bad reviews about him onlineI responded later that day via text, “***, I have not yet posted any reviews about you or your company onlineClearly you have another unhappy customerDo not contact me again.” He responded that day via text with, “Thank you for clarifying thatI believe it was my neighbor whom I am having a legal dispute withI had told him when we were on better terms about the issues you had I again apologize but your response was very helpful.” and “I apologize if it wasn’t youThe individual complained of the same exact things you didI don’t want any trouble and will not contact you again.” See attached documentation. Again, we would ideally like a partial refund for the total amount of the painting contract since we cannot verify whether ACN Painting truly did what they said they wouldWe will most likely have to contract another exterior painter to review the exterior painting and complete the items that were left undoneThe total amount paid for the exterior painting was $with tax (see attached receipt)At the very least, we would expect to be reimbursed the $that had to be spent on the roofer and pest control (see attached documentation)We also do not want *** ***, or anyone else from ACN Painting, to contact us again.
Regards,
*** ***

I would like to respond to this complaint submitted by *** ***:We were first contracted by *** to complete the Interior Painting where she had multiple problems with the previous painting contractor and subsequently fired this companyI completed the work, and also did several items at no
extra charge to win her businessI was blamed after we left for about a dozen scratches in her floorBeing that there were several contractors there before I arrived, we were only brushing out trim, and had no ladders or heavy equipment in the home I was perplexed how we could have done thisI was there the entire time Additionally, her children throw toys around and sword fightI took full responsibility to make her happy and offered to fix the scratches*** declined my offer but asked for compensation by discounting the exterior paint job to begin in a few weeksI agreed and discounted my price to do the exterior. I must point out that after the new roof install and prior to beginning the exterior painting, all windows had been replaced and new stucco was replaced around the windowsThey had to walk on the roof to do many of these windows. We spent a total of days on the exterior and fixed multiple stucco and wood issuesWe did a walk through at the end together and fixed any issue that *** or her husband pointed outThey both seemed very satisfied when the job was completed except for how the chicken wire was put back*** asked that I staple the chicken wire to the wood and I agreed to return in a few days with my staple gun and extra chicken wire at no extra cost. When I returned, *** pointed out broken roof tiles on an area that we never stood onThe most likely contractor who broke the tiles was either the person who had replaced this window, or the person who did the new stucco around this windowBoth of these jobs were done after the new roof install and prior to our paintingWe also never stood on this part of the roof, but it would have been necessary for the window or stucco contractor toAgain I felt I was being blamed for damage from a previous contractor.I asked *** if there was any way I could make the chicken wire right but did insist that we did not break the tiles and saw they were broken already in the process of doing the job*** told me she wanted to hire a roofer to put the chicken wire back to her satisfaction and did not want me to do itShe in fact became hostile and said she did not want me to come back to her houseAt that point there was nothing more I could do.As far as beesI was contracted to paint a houseI never put in my contact that I would eradicate all of her bug problemsI never saw any bees when doing this jobWe did fix all of her stucco holes and we did a thorough inspection with the homeownerThe homeowner was satisfied with the final walk throughI cannot be blamed for a bee problem as I am not a pest control expert, nor do I offer this service.*** is obviously upset and I tried everything to make her happyShe did write a review about me online saying damaging things like "I smell like alcohol and looked like I was partying all night"I know it was her because this website showed me it was written by an individual named "***"And she had the same complaintsShe is being dishonest by denying she wrote this review because I still have the email addressed to her that was sent to meI asked her to please stop writing bad reviews about me and she denied it and told me not to contact her again. This to me is a situation where I did everything in my power to make things right with the client but the client would rather damage my reputation because she is simply angry.Procedures for claiming damages from a contractor must first allow the contractor the opportunity to address and fix the complaintI attempted to address with great concern, but was refused any opportunityShe would rather hurt my business by writing bad reviews than have the issue resolvedI ask that this complaint be removed from my rating pleaseI did everything in my power to make *** happy

This is my final response to this matterI hope the Revdex.com takes into account that ACN Painting LLC is a Revdex.com member that not only contributes to the Revdex.com, has an A rating, and has never had a previous complaint with the Revdex.com, any other agency, or legal disputes in nearly years of being in businessOur quality, reputation and customer service is well known to be excellent. In regards to this matter, I will say the client had multiple complaintsAll of which I saw resolvedThe client was happy with the over all exterior job except for the manner the chicken wire was put backI returned when I said I would with my staple gun to put the chicken wire back at the clients instructionContrary to what she says I had purchased additional chicken wire for a piece she said was missingThis is when she brought up the broken tiles below the windowWe noticed these tiles were broken when we began the process and it was brought up by my foreman Luis to the husband of the person writing this complaint,*** ***We saw no other broken tiles and never walked on this part of the roofWe did not break these tiles and have never broken a roof tile in the hundreds of houses we have doneTo have broken roof tiles in a new roof says something about the new roof jobThis is unheard of by me.if Mrs *** had simply allowed me to finish putting the chicken wire back, she wouldn't have had to pay for it elsewhere but she refused to allow me to.if mrs*** had an issue with any part of the exterior paint job or repairs I woukd have gladly returned to fix these issues under warrantyMy customer service guarantees customer satisfaction and filing complaints with the Revdex.com woukd have only been necessary is I neglected to respond to herHowever she continues that I am not to contact her, yet she wants a resolution?i did everything within my power to make any of her issues correctedI am certain we did not break these roof tiles however in an effort to make this client happy I will offer a $voucher for interior painting. additionally I encourage the Revdex.com to visit this property an throroughly inspect the job we did and see that the job was 100% completed and that any other contractor woukd say the sameIn fact we did much more prep on the wood than I had proposed initially.its unfortunate when a client doesn't appreciate the extra effort I go to win their business and referrals and files complaints insteadI have always been willing to resolve any complaint that was brought directly to my attention. Kendra K[redacted]

We have reached out to complainant by phone and via email. We have offered a vocher for painting, we also never gave a warranty on work due to drastic conditions. We still have not heard from complainant to resolve this issue. We were willing to correct issues but due to unavailability of homeowner...

we have not scheduled a date that is reasonable to both parties. Business response: So I would like to apologize for the unfortunate events leading to you discovering the drawing coming through paint. Well we our new owners and we have become the New Owners since of March of 2017. Alex the previous owner was reached out two and says you guys never contacted him about it. As new owners we have been in contact with Sergio but scheduling has been an issue of availability. Also we are correcting an issue that has no obligations or warranty through new owners at no extra cost. So I would like to say it has not been a year since we have been contacted about this issue by Sergio. Maybe two months. If you like we can send you a check for your paint which was literally nothing and not enough to paint the wall. But we will pay for a gallon of paint or two. But in no way did we agree to repainting the rooms. So as to you falsely reporting to the Revdex.com. Can lead us to take further legal actions to protect our reputation. If you would like to discuss this matter more we be glad to. There is no contract or promises made to you or [redacted]. We explained to Sergio we where willing to help. But again it would have to be convenient for both parties to schedule. Again our apologies. Thank you and have a nice day,Kenny T[redacted]###-###-####

This is my final response to this matter. I hope the Revdex.com takes into account that ACN Painting LLC is a Revdex.com member that not only contributes to the Revdex.com, has an A rating, and has never had a previous complaint with the Revdex.com, any other agency, or legal disputes in nearly 6 years of being in business. Our quality, reputation and customer service is well known to be excellent. In regards to this matter, I will say the client had multiple complaints. All of which I saw resolved. The client was happy with the over all exterior job except for the manner the chicken wire was put back. I returned when I said I would with my staple gun to put the chicken wire back at the clients instruction. Contrary to what she says I had purchased additional chicken wire for a piece she said was missing. This is when she brought up the broken 2 tiles below the window. We noticed these tiles were broken when we began the process and it was brought up by my foreman Luis to the husband of the person writing this complaint,[redacted]. We saw no other broken tiles and never walked on this part of the roof. We did not break these tiles and have never broken a roof tile in the hundreds of houses we have done. To have 8 broken roof tiles in a new roof says something about the new roof job. This is unheard of by me.if Mrs [redacted] had simply allowed me to finish putting the chicken wire back, she wouldn't have had to pay for it elsewhere but she refused to allow me to.if mrs. [redacted] had an issue with any part of the exterior paint job or repairs I woukd have gladly returned to fix these issues under warranty. My customer service guarantees customer satisfaction and filing complaints with the Revdex.com woukd have only been necessary is I neglected to respond to her. However she continues that I am not to contact her, yet she wants a resolution?i did everything within my power to make any of her issues corrected. I am certain we did not break these roof tiles however in an effort to make this client happy I will offer a $300 voucher for interior painting. additionally I encourage the Revdex.com to visit this property an throroughly inspect the job we did and see that the job was 100% completed and that any other contractor woukd say the same. In fact we did much more prep on the wood than I had proposed initially.its unfortunate when a client doesn't appreciate the extra effort I go to win their business and referrals and files complaints instead. I have always been willing to resolve any complaint that was brought directly to my attention. I hope the Revdex.com realizes when I tried to resolve this matter at the clients residence, I was turned away. I have offered compensation and this matter should be recorded as resolved. Thank you.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We hired another company to complete a large portion of the interior painting in our new home. As we cleaned and prepared to move in we noticed that there was quite a bit of overspray left on our floors and the trim they painted was peeling within 2-3 weeks. These results prompted us to look for a different painter and we subsequently ended up contracting ACN Painting. We initially asked [redacted] to quote the exterior painting. We checked with the references he provided and made the decision to move forward with ACN Painting for the exterior painting. Exterior painting was postponed as we were having 5 windows (not all as [redacted] claims) and an exterior door replaced. In the meantime, we contracted ACN Painting to re-paint the interior trim that was peeling, patch a drywall hole, paint the kitchen walls, paint door casings and paint 8 doors. He said he did throw in painting shelf supports in our pantry at no extra charge. We have attached that estimate and receipt for reference. We did not ask him to do it for free, but to quote what it would cost to add it. It was his choice to complete it at no extra charge. (We would like to note that at least 2 of the shelf supports were not completely painted). In order to complete the interior work they did use small ladders, some tools and were moving interior doors in and out of the house. [redacted] and his co-worker arrived and began painting without throughly masking or laying drop cloths to protect the floor, contrary to what was outlined in the estimate. The fact that they are professional painters combined with knowing our previous experience this should have been the first step. We requested that they better protect the floors. The protection they provided was minimal, including a lack of drop cloths in the carpets bedrooms. When they painted the trim they did not protect the floors around all of the trim and did drag a paint can around on the floor with them as they painted. [redacted] and his co-worker finished the interior painting 2 days behind schedule. After they were done, we began cleaning up and getting the house back in order. In doing so we noticed several scratches on our hardwood floors.  Additionally, two of the doors that they painted were already peeling. We contacted [redacted] about these issues within 2 days and provided photo documentation (We still ave the photos if necessary). He was responsive and said he would try to make it right. We declined his help with the floors as we were not confident that he knew what he was doing. We agreed to have him fix the doors since that was paint related. We did not bring this up in our initial complaint with the Revdex.com as we had tried to come to terms to settle these issues among ourselves. However, since [redacted] brought these issues up it is worth noting that this experience heavily influenced the fact that we will not allow him or anyone he hires to return to work on or in our home again. We would also like to note that the 2 doors that he did “fix” are peeling again (another cost we will have to incur if we would like them repainted properly or replaced) and we have since found paint on our carpet (ACN painting was the only painter to paint in the bedrooms after the carpet was installed). We have photos of these if necessary as well. We would like to address the issue of our children. They do sword fight with plastic swords and foam pool noodles. Occasionally they do throw small plastic toys as most children do. It is ludicrous to think that this would cause scratches throughout the house in the very same areas that ACN painting placed their tools or used as access points/traffic paths to move doors. We should have gone with our gut and hired a different painter to complete the exterior work. However, due to the responsiveness and willingness to make things right we agreed to have ACN Painting complete the exterior painting. We did ask for a monetary discount to offset the damage to the floors. Instead [redacted] offered to paint a short layer of dry-lock around the house. Again, we cannot be blamed for the choices that [redacted] chose to make for his business. Upon completion of the exterior painting, we walked around the perimeter of the house and looked at things. They did seem to do much of what was outlined in the estimate (see attached) in terms of repairing wood and stucco damage. We did catch a few items and they did address them for the most part. The chicken wire was not replaced the way it was originally installed (as outlined in our original complaint with the Revdex.com). [redacted] did offer to return to fix it. It should be noted that [redacted] asked if we had any chicken wire as he did not want to purchase any. Moreover, if I had allowed [redacted] to perform this task it should be free of charge since they removed it and promised to reinstall it as it was originally installed. As noted in the original complaint with the Revdex.com, it was between the completion date of the exterior painting and when [redacted] was scheduled to return to reinstall the chicken wire that we noticed the paint chips and broken roof tiles. It was at that point we decided that we would not allow anyone from ACN Painting to do any work on or in our home again. As for the broken roof tiles - again 2 of the tiles were near windows. When those windows were replaced we inspected the areas throughly. That area of the roof is clearly visible from the windows and we know there was no damage at that time as that is one of the things we specifically assessed when the replacement windows were installed. (The other 3 windows or exterior door that were replaced are not near the roof and did not require any roof access.) When we brought the broken roof tiles up to [redacted] he would not take responsibility for them. He maintains they did not have to walk on this area of the roof during painting, but this area was masked and covered when they were completing their painting. Thus, at some point someone on the crew made contact with it. If they were indeed broken prior to the exterior painting, the crew should have brought them to our attention before continuing in those areas. Additionally, as stated in our original complaint with the Revdex.com, 6 additional roof tiles were found broken when the licensed roofer came to repair the damage. Those 6 tiles were found in an area of the roof that has no windows. It is along a small area of stucco and trim that needed to be painted. Thus, the only party possibly responsible for those 6 broken tiles is ACN Painting. Our home is two stories. We completed a walk through from the ground. We did not think it would be necessary to climb up on a ladder every 6 feet to inspect the painting near the roofline, etc. This is why we hired a licensed professional to complete the work in the first place. As a result we did not see the 2 inch stucco hole that allowed the bees into our home. The fact that [redacted] confirms that they never saw or experienced any signs of bees while they were completing the exterior painting makes our case that had they in fact done their job correctly we never would have had bees in our home. We would not expect a painter to take care of the bees or any other pests. However, we do expect that a painter, or any contractor for that matter, to complete the work they outlined in a professional and complete manner. A 2”x2” inch hole in the stucco (vs. a hairline crack) is a huge oversight in this case. I did not become hostile with [redacted] in any way. I expressed my disappointment with yet more damage to our home after ACN Painting was contracted to perform finish work. I told him to gather his ladder from my property, which he left for nearly a week, and not return. We did not give him the chance to “make things right” because at this point the evidence was piled high that ACN Painting is not adequately equipped to make any of their mistakes right. Additionally, the damage they caused was more than paint related. Just as we would not expect ACN Painting to complete pest control, we would not expect or trust them to complete roof repairs. This is precisely why we had to contract the services of other professionals in those fields to repair the damage done to our home. Paying for those services would be the closest equivalent to making things right at this point. No such review accusing [redacted] of being an alcoholic was posted by me or anyone I know. To date we have only posted 1 review on [redacted]. It was posted in mid-December 2014. Note: we were waiting until the roof and chicken wire were repaired completely and we had cost totals before taking any action or posting any reviews. The chicken wire was not reinstalled by the roofer until November 8, 2014. We have documentation of when services were performed if needed. It is our right as consumers to post honest accounts of our experience with any business. When posting any review our goal is to provide other consumers with information that may be pertinent to their decision making. Whether a review is negative or positive is dependent largely, if not entirely, on the service and quality of work provided by the business. On October 27, 2014, [redacted] texted me and asked me to stop posting bad reviews about him online. I responded later that day via text, “[redacted], I have not yet posted any reviews about you or your company online. Clearly you have another unhappy customer. Do not contact me again.” He responded that day via text with, “Thank you for clarifying that. I believe it was my neighbor whom I am having a legal dispute with. I had told him when we were on better terms about the issues you had I again apologize but your response was very helpful.” and “I apologize if it wasn’t you. The individual complained of the same exact things you did. I don’t want any trouble and will not contact you again.” See attached documentation. Again, we would ideally like a partial refund for the total amount of the painting contract since we cannot verify whether ACN Painting truly did what they said they would. We will most likely have to contract another exterior painter to review the exterior painting and complete the items that were left undone. The total amount paid for the exterior painting was $4097.00 with tax (see attached receipt). At the very least, we would expect to be reimbursed the $622.74 that had to be spent on the roofer and pest control (see attached documentation). We also do not want [redacted], or anyone else from ACN Painting, to contact us again.

Regards,

I would like to respond to this complaint submitted by [redacted]:We were first contracted by [redacted] to complete the Interior Painting where she had multiple problems with the previous painting contractor and subsequently fired this company. I completed the work, and also did several items...

at no extra charge to win her business. I was blamed after we left for about a dozen scratches in her floor. Being that there were several contractors there before I arrived, we were only brushing out trim, and had no ladders or heavy equipment in the home I was perplexed how we could have done this. I was there the entire time.  Additionally, her children throw toys around and sword fight. I took full responsibility to make her happy and offered to fix the scratches. [redacted] declined my offer but asked for compensation by discounting the exterior paint job to begin in a few weeks. I agreed and discounted my price to do the exterior. I must point out that after the new roof install and prior to beginning the exterior painting, all windows had been replaced and new stucco was replaced around the windows. They had to walk on the roof to do many of these windows. We spent a total of 5 days on the exterior and fixed multiple stucco and wood issues. We did a walk through at the end together and fixed any issue that [redacted] or her husband pointed out. They both seemed very satisfied when the job was completed except for how the chicken wire was put back. [redacted] asked that I staple the chicken wire to the wood and I agreed to return in a few days with my staple gun and extra chicken wire at no extra cost. When I returned, [redacted] pointed out broken roof tiles on an area that we never stood on. The most likely contractor who broke the tiles was either the person who had replaced this window, or the person who did the new stucco around this window. Both of these jobs were done after the new roof install and prior to our painting. We also never stood on this part of the roof, but it would have been necessary for the window or stucco contractor to. Again I felt I was being blamed for damage from a previous contractor.I asked [redacted] if there was any way I could make the chicken wire right but did insist that we did not break the tiles and saw they were broken already in the process of doing the job. [redacted] told me she wanted to hire a roofer to put the chicken wire back to her satisfaction and did not want me to do it. She in fact became hostile and said she did not want me to come back to her house. At that point there was nothing more I could do.As far as bees. I was contracted to paint a house. I never put in my contact that I would eradicate all of her bug problems. I never saw any bees when doing this job. We did fix all of her stucco holes and we did a thorough inspection with the homeowner. The homeowner was satisfied with the final walk through. I cannot be blamed for a bee problem as I am not a pest control expert, nor do I offer this service.[redacted] is obviously upset and I tried everything to make her happy. She did write a review about me online saying damaging things like "I smell like alcohol and looked like I was partying all night". I know it was her because this website showed me it was written by an individual named "[redacted]". And she had the same complaints. She is being dishonest by denying she wrote this review because I still have the email addressed to her that was sent to me. I asked her to please stop writing bad reviews about me and she denied it and told me not to contact her again. This to me is a situation where I did everything in my power to make things right with the client but the client would rather damage my reputation because she is simply angry.Procedures for claiming damages from a contractor must first allow the contractor the opportunity to address and fix the complaint. I attempted to address with great concern, but was refused any opportunity. She would rather hurt my business by writing bad reviews than have the issue resolved. I ask that this complaint be removed from my rating please. I did everything in my power to make [redacted] happy.

Regards,

Thank you.

Shortly after ACN Painting, LLC was formed, I contracted to have the exterior of my house repainted. This included the body and trim which was a different color. This was over six years ago. The work was performed in a very professional manner and meet the highest standards. I would say industry standards were completely meet in that all prep work, masking, protection and clean up was excelllent.

Subsequently, based on the quality and completeness of the work, I had ACN quote the painting of most of the interior of the house. Alex submitted paint wheels for color choices and provided advice for different combinations of colors. The work was completed in a thorough and high quality manner. All contents were covered and the floor surfaces were protected with drop cloths. In areas where the paint was sprayed, there was no over spray in adjacent areas. We were extermely satisified and in fact have received complements as to the quality of the efforts from several of our neighbors. The project was completed within the estimated time quoted.

This past fall I decided to repaint the exterior again as the Arizona sun can cause problems with eterior stucco. Due to the quality of the previos projects, I again engaged ACN Painting. The results were the same as it was a professional job performed to high standards. I would like to note that during the project, Alex pointed out the deterioration of the flat roofing sealer on my covered pation. He proceeded to refinish this area with elastomeric material to preserve the integrity of the structure.

Finally, I was having the den/office refurbished in July 2015. ACN performed the complete painting and then installed a complete eight inch border between the ceiling and the walls. This required expetise in wallpaper hanging as walls are not square and plumb. The end result was a superior job that has impressed myself and visitors..

Based on the quality of the work and professional conduct of Alex and his crew, I have refered ACN Painting to others in the community. He has painted several other houses and resealed patio roofs with elastomeric material. All have expressed complete satisifaction with the work.

I will definitely use ACN Painting on any future projects and continue to recommend this company to others.

Review: We contracted ACN Painting to paint the exterior of our home, which included patching & filling all stucco cracks and holes.

We had our roof completed replaced just 3 months prior to when the exterior paint was completed.

When ACN completed the exterior painting they had to walk on the roof to gain access to certain areas. They were aware that the roof was brand new and never mentioned any issues. They completed the painting on September 23, 2014. Approximately, a week later I noticed 2 broken roof tiles just outside two bedroom widows over the garage. They had to climb/touch this area when masking due to the location of the windows. When I brought it to [redacted] (the owner) attention he denied an responsibility. However, he was barely on site supervising his crew of two men. Also, he did not complete any of the masking or painting himself.

Additionally, the 2 man crew removed chicken wire the roofing company had installed to deter pigeons from nesting on our new roof (which had been a large problem prior to the re-roof). When I noted this for [redacted] he assured me that they would reinstall it properly. However, as his 2 man crew was leaving I went out to look at the house and all they had done was ball up the chicken wire and stuff it in some of the sections (not all). I told [redacted] and he provided an excuse as to why he couldn't correct it that day but said he would return. He also denied that there was chicken wire in one area, despite the fact that I had documentation from the roofer and a photo. He put it off for multiple days. In the meantime I spotted the broken roof tiles and decided that I did not feel comfortable having him or his crew work on or in my home any more.

As a result I called our roofer to come and replace the broken roof tiles and re-install the chicken wire as we already had a pigeon nesting on our roof again. When they came to replace the 2 tiles, they discovered 6 more broken tiles in areas that only the painters had access to. They also had to get the nesting pigeon out and re-install the chicken wire. The roofer found the chicken wire that [redacted] had denied was ever there balled up on our roof above the area. I had to pay a total of $452.74 to have these issues rectified by a licensed roofer. Please keep in mind that I spent much more than this just months before to have a brand new roof. The roofer also noted that painters are technically supposed to request that the roof tiles be removed and reinstalled by a roofer in areas where they need to walk in order to avoid damage.

After taking care of the roof issues in early October, we noticed that we had bees coming into our home. We were concerned as we have young children including an infant. We called a pest control company the next day to come and inspect the bee issue. They found that the bees had gained access into our home through an approximately 2"x2" hole in the stucco/eave that ACN Painting should have sealed when completing the exterior painting. The exterminator determined that is was fairly new infestation (within about a week or two). Thus, if ACN had completed the job per what was outlined in their proposal we would not have had bees in our home. We had to pay a total of $170.00 to have the bees exterminated.

Consequently, we have been left to pay additional money to repair the property damage ACN Painting caused. Additionally, given that we found a large hole that was not addressed when they completed the exterior painting I am left wondering what else they did not do that they led us to believe they did.

Furthermore, when [redacted] suspected that I wrote a less than favorable review online, he contacted me and demanded that I stop writing reviews. I did not write the review and even if I had, it is my right as a consumer to share my experience. It is unacceptable for him to contact me and ask for me not to share an honest account of our experience with his company.Desired Settlement: Ideally, I would like a partial refund for the total amount of the painting contract since I cannot verify whether ACN Painting truly did what they said they would. I will most likely have to contract another exterior painter to review the exterior painting and complete the items that were left undone. The total amount paid for the exterior painting was $4097.00 (with tax).

At the very least, I would like to be reimbursed the $622.74 that I had to spend on the roofer and pest control. I also do not want [redacted], or anyone else from ACN Painting, to contact me again.

Business

Response:

I would like to respond to this complaint submitted by [redacted]:We were first contracted by [redacted] to complete the Interior Painting where she had multiple problems with the previous painting contractor and subsequently fired this company. I completed the work, and also did several items at no extra charge to win her business. Thank you.

Did a shoddy job painting my front retaining wall. Asked for more money to properly fix his work. Agreed to come fix it now has refused to do so. Beware this company
