Walked me thru the entire process of finding a small business. Showed me so many more businesses than I had found on my own by just looking at Biz Buy Sell. I really liked the analysis they did on each business opportunity, and allowed me to set up meetings with the owners to really get to know them before I got too deep into the process. I successfully bought a small business and have referred a few friends to their services since. Definitely a must for any potential buyer.

Paid my $2,500 and started my search. The guy I worked with was extremely knowledgeable. He helped thru the search phase and set up meetings. Finally decided upon buying a small carpet cleaning business. They helped me get a great rate with SBA financing. Now I am a proud business owner. Would do it all over again if I could. Definitely recommend to anyone interested in finding a small business but having trouble finding the right one.

Company appears to have disappeared. All attempts to contact the company have gone unanswered. They took a $2,500 fee for a service. They charged us $2,500 to begin a search for us to purchase a business and now 45 days later when we try to contact the company via phone or email there is no response and no one is answering the phones including a personal cell phone number.Desired SettlementAt this point we would like our money back. We are afraid they have skipped town. We have filed for a refund through the credit card company we used but not sure if that will work.Business Response We had an issue with the employee that was involved with this particular client. That employee issue has been resolved and the client received their refund. Attempts to contact the client to confirm receipt have been unsuccessful, but we do know that their refund was processed through our credit card vendor.

Refund owed per contract but company refuses to pay or respond to contact. Phone messages, e-mail, and USPS registered mail have gone unanswered. On 04/26/2010 I hired[redacted] (then doing business as the [redacted] branch of the [redacted] Group) to perform a business acquisition search. This entailed signing an OPPORTUNITY SEARCH AGREEMENT and payment of an initiation fee of $5,000 by check number 1002 (receipt copy of the check countersigned by[redacted]). Under paragraphs 6 and 7 of the OPPORTUNITY SEARCH AGREEMENT, the initiation fee was to be applied to either: Paragraph 7 - The total project fee due at closing on an acquisition (which never transpired), or Paragraph 6 - 1/2 would be refunded: "If, at any time during provision of those services described herein, Buyer accepts an offer for employment from a company or decides to suspend the search, and said offer does not include for Buyer ownership or equity of any kind in such company (other than compensatory equity to be paid in connection with services to be rendered by Buyer), [redacted] shall refund Buyer one-half (1/2) of the Initiation Fee." On 05/25/2010[redacted] sent out an e-mail stating that "as of June 1, 2010, The [redacted] Group of [redacted] will be rebranded to Acquisition Finders." This name change had no apparent effect on the business search process and[redacted] remained my primary contact. On 06/08/2010 the Search mailings went out and responses trickled in through November 2010. During this time, none of the responses resulted in an meeting with the owner, much less an actionable business opportunity. On 12/02/2010 I accepted a full time contract-to-hire position at[redacted] USA. While working at[redacted] USA I continued to search for an acquisition opportunity, both through[redacted] (now Acquisition Finders) and through Business for Sale listings. On 01/30/2011 I visited one potential acquisition candidate to result from the search mailing and judged it unsuitable. An attempted offer on another potential candidate occupied February and May 2011 but also failed. From June 2011 through May 2012[redacted] presented me with a number of local businesses he had listed for sale but which did not meet my search criteria. On 05/04/12 I resigned from[redacted] USA and moved to[redacted] for yet another job change. Since that date I have spoken with[redacted] only once (11/29/2012). Despite repeated attempts to contact him, phone messages and e-mail went unanswered. On 08/19/13 I gave up on finding a business through[redacted] and sent a formal notice of termination of the search and request for refund of the unearned 1/2 of the initiation fee ($2,500.00) as per paragraph 6. On 09/04/13 the USPS Certified mail return receipt shows that[redacted] personally signed for that letter. Since that date he has made no attempt to respond or pay the refund amount. Desired SettlementRefund $2,500 of the $5,000 Initiation Fee as per the terms stated in paragraph 6 of the Opportunity Search Agreement signed 04/26/2010.
