Act Now Towing & Auto Repair Reviews (5)

In response to the complaint against my company, Act Now Towing & Auto Repair, Inc., I agree to the terms of the original agreement which were Mr [redacted] s was to paint my floor for services completed on his spouse’s vehicle He brought the vehicle in and I explained the part needed was on backorder and we had to wait He stated that was fine and he would go ahead and begin work on the floors Because of the inconvenience of the part being back ordered I allowed Mr [redacted] s to borrow one of my personal vehicles for several weeks During this period, I updated him stating I was not one hundred percent positive the part was going to fix the issue and the estimated cost of parts and labor would be between $200- Again, I explained I could not guarantee it would solve the issue I explained we did not know how long the part would be on backorder which is an issue beyond my control, however, I did update him on a weekly basis the status Mr [redacted] s stated he understood Shortly after he came and picked his vehicle up and dropped off a Dodge Caravan which we completed an oil change and belt installation at no charge A week later he came in asking for $for labor on painting the floor stating he normally charges $ I explained that was not the agreement and if that was the case I would have had an employee perform the services I explained I would not pay him $after I allowed him to use my vehicle for over three weeks plus make repairs to his Caravan at no charge I offered to pay him $ He took the money and left That was the last time I heard from Mr [redacted] until I received the complaint

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: You said you repaired my other van but did not. You did not pay $100 to move cars around. I did not borrow your truck for 2 weeks and the work on the van was not worth $200. Sincerely, [redacted]

In response to the rejection, I will not offer anything further to Mr*** Attached please find two letters from employees affirming the agreement between myself and Mr*** Mr*** stated the work he completed for me is normally $however he would do it for trade As explained before, the part needed for the vehicle needing repaired was back ordered and did not come in until December 23, (receipt attached) To assist Mr*** I did allow him to use my personal vehicle for weeks (which he used for his personal business)and completed an oil change (retail value $43) and performed an inspection on another vehicle (labor rate $75/hr) When Mr*** picked up the initial vehicle to be serviced he stated that we would like to be paid for the floors I reminded him of the agreement Mr*** stated he normally charges $for his work, however he would only charge me $ I explained that was not the agreement and I was not going to pay him that much From the work performed I offered $ Mr*** took the $and left I did not receive any further response from him until this complaint I believe the use of my vehicle for over weeks, work performed on second vehicle of Mr*** and the $well makes up for the $he previously requested
