Action Air Conditioning & Heating

Review: Mr. [redacted], owner and operator of Action Air, has been the contractor for my Cooling and heating s split system since he installed it in June of 2007. I purchased the extended 10 year warranty for parts and labor. every year he does a service inspection (Which I pay $70 a yr.). On March 15, 2013, I had Mr. [redacted] come to service my Air and Heating units. He stated that I had a cooling leak and would have to add freon and charge me for it. He then stated that he would then be able to tell where the leak was. He said he would be back on the 22nd to complete repairs or replace any faulty parts per warranty. I contacted he two days prior to remind of appointment. Mr. [redacted] never showed up. I contacted him again and he said he would come on saturday, so he would have time. Again he never showed up. On April 8, 2013 I called Mr. [redacted] and asked him why he had never shown up and my system was malfunctioning again. He stated that I needed to call him repeatedly to remind him. We argued about his inability to keep appointments. He hung up on me. I spoke with a woman who answered later, and she said she would have him come out on Friday the 19th. He failed to show up again. I called him again and he said he would come out, but needed to recharge me for more freon. I stated that if he had completed the repair, I would not need more freon. He argued with me again and refused to complete the work. I contacted the Warranty company JCI- (Comfort Plan) and found out that he never registered the warranty in 2007 like he was supposed to. I had my copies and the warranty company is working with me on maintaining my coverage. I have since had to have another company(Locke Air Conditioning) come out and service the unit. The coil is defective and needs replacing. Mr. [redacted] charged me $120.00 for freon and the other company stated that that was way above normal charge. I paid $85.00 for Locke's service visit.Desired Settlement: I request that I be refunded the $120.00 for the service call and freon that he never completed and allowed my unit to go unpaired for over a month before I had to get another service provider. I also request $500 for repayment to go towards the warranty issue. His fraudulent actions regarding this matter is actionable. I am also preparing Legal claim (Small claims Court) if this is not resolved. I am also notifying the State Licensing Board of he actions and disreputable business practices.
