Back in January earlier this year I took my 2003 Jeep Wrangler Sport to Action Auto to Diagnose 2 problems! First was a noise in my rear differential while making sharp left turns in which the vehicle would make a very loud clunk as if slipping out of gear. The 2nd was while in 2 WD mode I would be accelerating over uneven bumps or entering an offset inclined hwy on ramp and the jeep would begin a slight osculation that would escalate into a death wobble. I would have to apply the brakes to make it come out. If I had it in 4 WD it wouldn't do it. I asked them to check, diagnose and repair both. The cost was $ 2500.00 and I was told everything was fine and a rear differential gear and clutches had been replaced and everything checked out. I was surprised after being told this that the chief mechanic told me he wanted to check the vehicle again B4 I went off road??? I felt like I was ripped off and bamboozled by an unsatisfactory outcome. It's interesting to note that they wanted my review immediately after the repair but now that I've established an incongruency in my satisfaction at this later date that they have placed a block on their [redacted] site preventing me from placing an authentic review!!!!!!!!!
I highly recommend Action Auto Repair! Everyone there is so professional and nice. As a woman I was nervous going to a car mechanic. I can not say enough good things about them. They completely explained everything to me and I was treated very well. [redacted] and [redacted] were great!!
[redacted] and his crew are the best! My husband gets a "new" used car about every 2 years and has always taken our vehicles to [redacted] at Action Auto; we've always had great service and no unneeded parts/service. Thank you [redacted] and crew for a job well done. Perfect example of how people should be treated!!!!
I dropped off my vehicle on Sunday, 12/21. On Monday, 12/22, I received a call describing the work needed and the estimate. I explained that I had an estimate from another shop that was $208 cheaper. The shop explained their 36 month guarantee on the work and that the car would be done Wednesday. This was important as I would not have anyone be available to take me to pick up the car after that. On Wednesday, I received a call that the car would not be done until at least Monday, 12/29. I had to make arrangements for the use of another car to get to and from work. I told [redacted] that I would need to pick the car up after work (shop already closed) and to lock the car with the key inside, and leave it up front. When I walked the 3 miles to the shop, my car was unlocked. Poor service and followup. I went to the shop the next morning to get my invoice. I was charged $57.25 for an oil pan gasket and $72.05 for a timing cover gasket set, more than double what I would pay at [redacted] if I got them myself. I believe I was initially mislead about the completion time of the vehicle repairs so I would commit to having the repairs done there. That and the inconvenience it caused me leads me to write this review.
Very knowledgable staff but most of all honest and reasonable. Been using their shop for years and have never had a bad experience. Avoid dealership repair shops and go here.
