I took my son to buy a car from there in December and the car had stopped in the middle of the highway twice, on the street in front of my house twiceI took my son to buy a car from there in December and the car had stopped in the middle of the highway twice, on the street in front of my house twice. He has only had the car a little over 3 months after paying 1200 down for the car and making his payments every two weeks. The first time it broke down they fixed it only after I had it towed to another mechanic and they said the steering rack was not correct. They fixed the rack, but only after yelling and being disrespectful to me over the phone. I was clearly shocked by their behavior being as how nice they were, when I first purchased the car. If my son does not do anything else he makes sure to pay them on time( I make sure of it) before he pays any other bills, because that is the right thing to do. They had him sign paperwork that says they have something on the car that can shut the car down if it is not paid on time. I know that those systems can malfunction and I had him and the mechanic call them to ask if they could check their system to see if the system had shut down the car by error. They gave them a lot of excuses, but never offered to help. I am personally now scared to speak to any of them on the phone due to the uncouth behavior that I experienced the last time. Desired SettlementI would like help getting the car fixed or give him a credit on what is left of the amount owed for the car. It is clearly not worth the 6,0000 charged not to mention the high interest rate. I would also be happy if they would just check to make sure their system has not turned off his car by error. He could have been seriously hurt during the times it shut off on the highway.Business Response I have never talked to this person directly about her complaints and the only one that recalls talking to her son is our receptionist. I am not sure what she is talking about when she says she is afraid to call here. I will talk to anyone on the phone or in person as long as they're not disrespectful. She can call me anytime to discuss concerns about the vehicle, purhcase price and or financing. If the car needs repairs we are not aware of it.Consumer Response The car is now fixed and I did call and speak to someone about the steering rack as well as did his father, and the mechanic. AT this point I want to make sure that people get the car inspected first before they purchase anything from them. Thank them for their offer, but I will not be calling there and my son was in the car with me, when I spoke to the man on the phone.Final Business Response All I can say is I can't fix something I don't know about.. also, I don't know why someone would file a complaint with the Revdex.com if the problem you complained about is fixed.. I really don't get it.More info received from the consumer 2014-04-18I filed a complaint because I paid 1200 down for the car in December and I have constantly been paying to have things fixed! I fixed it my self and I paid over 275 to have a starter put on not to mention the part that I had to pay for and He has only had the car 4 months. When I purchased the car I was told it was in great condition almost like new and there were not problems with the car. I also had to buy a new battery and I can go on, but there is no purpose. I am a person of character and I think it is important to be honest.More info received from the business 2014-04-22At Action Auto Sales we do whatever it takes to ensure that the used product we sell is in good operating order. When you purchase an 8 year old car and give it to a young driver things can go wrong? Does the person drive the car normally or do they drive it hard? Do they change their oil on time? Too many variables. We have no real way of knowing how long parts will last on a vehicle. We do the very best that we can selling a used product that we did not design or manufacture. Our business is thriving due to repeat business because we sell good dependable used cars and always make ourselves available to customers that are respectful. Thank You..

I want my refund!!! I gave these people a holding fee of $260, I have changed my mind about making a purchase period. And now they wont refund my moneyOn thursday March 17, I went to action auto sales and seen a [redacted] that had caught my eye, it was $499 down. I took it for a test drive, it drove ok except I noticed it was shaky (transmission issues) brakes are bad, and the reverse gear was slipping. Yes I still put down $260 as a holding fee. The owner Of action auto[redacted] was telling me during the drive how he could give me a deal on the car I could pay $125 every 2weeks instead of $175 and that he was gonna fix all the issues with the car, so of course I wanted that deal. But he failed to tell me the issues with the car. My opinion was swayed and changed completely once I herd from a previous customer. I went back to get my holding fee and they tell me its non refundable!! I told them I dont want to purchase a car from them now nor in the near future and they said too bad! Like why are they gonna keep my money without a purchase! Bottom line is I want my money back this was all a mistake! These people do bad business , they will sell you a lemon car with no problem or care in the world, as long as they get there hands on some money!Desired SettlementI want the Revdex.com to let innocent customers know to stay away from this car lot. They dont do business fair. And I want help with getting back my refund!Business Response First of all [redacted] was informed that the deposit was non-refundable and it says so on the document she signed. She signed the document on 3/18/14 and said she would be back on 3/24/14 to purchase the car. She came back to me several days later and asked for her deposit back because she did not have enough money to put down on the car by the time the refund expired on the 24th. I told her that was fine and could give her up to 2 weeks to pick up the car. Then she said she wanted the money back so she could come back with all the money to pick up the car. I said that I would just hold the $260.00 and this credit could be applied to that car or any car on the lot if she needed more time. There was nothing wrong with the car she put the deposit on. When we took a test drive the car performed very well. If it didn't drive well why would she put a deposit on it? I know if I test drove a car and it performed badly the last thing I would do is put a deposit on it.I believe she bought another car somewhere else and thats why she wanted the deposit back. Meanwhile I had the word "sold" on the window of the car and lost potential customers to buy it. Her attitude changed after realizing I was not going to just give her her money back. As a last ditch effort she said that there were mechanical issues and I told her I would give her a 30 day warranty. I did all I could do for her short of just giving her the money back. Also, I never, ever said Too Bad!Consumer Response The problem is a previous customer told me the issues she had with the car. And after talking to [redacted] he did admit over the phone that the transmission was bad on that car. Yes I was on board with purchasing the car at first. But after hearing what she had to say I dont want to do buisness with these people. And no I did not find another vehicle. When I told them I wanted more time I was being honest I made a fast move, honest mistake and I would like my money back. Theres no need to hold my money when im not going to make a purchase. Why would you force me to buy a car when I dont want to right now.

I [redacted] entered into an arbitration agreement for a green (dark) Malibu 1997. I was paying $175.00 every 2 weeks. The vehicle was repossessed after the $175.00 payment was late 3 days. The contract states I have 10 days to make a payment. I have lost wages and opportunities due to not having a vehicle.Desired SettlementResolution: I would like to have the down payment of $800 returned so that I can obtain a car from a reputible company. Conclusion: I do not want anyone else to fall victim to this situation I went through.Business Response Ms [redacted] did finance a car from us. She said that she wanted to defer her payment for two weeks. We told her that we could not extend her payment out that far. We told her she could either make her payment or leave the car with us until she could make her payment without penalty. We tried to contact her when she was in default multiple times but she refused to call us. She texted me if we continued to call her she would call her lawyer. The car was repossessed that day. Under the terms of our contract she was in default and she does not have a 10 day grace period.

The dealer told me when I bought the car they would fix the a.c. but are now refusing. When I bought my car [redacted] told me he would fix the a.c. that was not blowing cold. He made a note of it on my file. On March 22 I took the car in because they needed to check it to figure out what was wrong with it. I noticed a sign they have in the wall saying oil changes $20. So I asked if they could do that as well while they has the car and they said yes.when I went back later that day to pick up my car I was told my compressor needed to be replaced and they would order the part. I was then told I owed $35 for the oil change. I pointed out the sign and was told that because my car was over the miles since the last oil change it was more I asked them why wasn't I informed of that and that is when [redacted] and his son both started telling me that they did me a favor and that its only $15.No big deal. I was overwelmed with 3 people talking to me at once so I said I don't want to argue and I turned around to leave when [redacted] took me outside to talk, as we were walking outside his son yelled that he would never work on my car again. Outside [redacted] proceeded to tell me that I was being rude and again that they were doing me a favor. Before I left he said the would order the part and would call me in a couple of days. I called a week later and a told by the other son that they would not be fixing my car because of the incedent.Desired SettlementTo finish the a.c. jobBusiness Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@aol.comThe car was purchased as is however from time to time we do mechanical work using dealer good will (no cost to customer). Ms. [redacted] stopped by for an oil change and left the car here. She told our receptionist that she was going to work and could not be reached by phone. Since she was 2000 miles over on her oil change we put a additive called lucas that helps when someone neglects to change their oil when they should. The cost goes up from 20 to $35 because of the additive. When Ms. [redacted] came to pick up the car she made a big deal out of the extra $15.00. She was rude and asked why we did not call to let her know. There is a sign in our office that states this plain as day. She kept making a big deal out of it. My son said that we would not be working on her car ever again because of her bad attitude. This is not the first time she has been rude. I have no problem helping someone when they are nice but wont tolerate ungrateful or rude people. By the way she never paid for the oil change not even the $20. She said that she had to get the money at the ATM and to date has not paid for it. As I stated earlier she bought the car "as is" and we are not required to fix anything on her car. Consumer Response [redacted], I know the car was bought "as is". But you need to understand that I would have chosen a different car if I new that you were not going to fix what you promised. I went back to your dealership because of the good experience I had buying my other car there. I really don't understand how things got so far. I would like to suggest a compromise since you all refuse to look at my car again I will get it fixed else were and deduct the cost from my payments.

Faulty repair and cruel customer service regarding myself and my wife.We purchased a [redacted] from Action Auto in early February 2014. On the same day we purchased the vehicle the transmission failed. Action towed the vehicle in and "fixed" the lower transmission hose that was falsely placed. On Friday 5/16 my wife and two kids were riding when in mid traffic the car starts jerking and spewing transmission fluid. My wife barely avoided being rear ended as the transmission slipped. On Monday morning (5/19) I contacted Action auto and spoke with "[redacted]" . I explained what had occurred with the car on Friday , and how it was identical to the previous incident, at that time [redacted] began to curse at me and ultimately hung up the phone on me. My wife attempted to call and calmly tried to explain and [redacted] stated" you people need to get up and do something for yourselves"! " I am busy"!! He yelled! Lastly he says "it cannot be the same issue because my guys do great mechanical work ". He told me that if I could "get" the vehicle to him that he would "take a look at it". [redacted] then proceeded to tell my wife that now, he "wasn't going to look at it". Yelling and scolding like a mad man! We had the vehicle towed to our local mechanic and it was concluded that the hose had not been installed properly by "Action auto".Desired SettlementBecause we have always taken in our payments on time every two weeks, and because of [redacted] unacceptable behavior we wish to call in our payments via cc WITHOUT the $6 service charge. We also wished to be reimbursed for the towing and labor that we had to pay for the vehicle to be CORRECTLY fixed. We have all receipts Business Response Contact Name and Title:[redacted], Owner Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: sameWhen [redacted] called I informed him that we were willing to repair his vehicle and to bring it to us. He was not satisfied with us fixing it he wanted to take the car to his mechanic and have us pay the bill along with the tow bill. I am not willing to do that for obvious reasons. He and his wife were very rude to me on the phone. Since they bought the car "As Is" I am under no obligation to fix their car at all. I can't understand why they would not take our offer. If it was the same problem as in February we would have done the work at little to no cost to them. When they got rude and irate with me I told them that I would not help them at all. We do not deserve that kind of treatment and will not tolerate it. Consumer Response Myself and my wife were very cordial to [redacted], he insisted on yelling and cutting us off and not being reasonable. Why would we trust you to "fix" our car again , when you clearly couldn't fix it the first time. Furthermore , when it comes to my families safety I will seek the best and safest solution that is available to me, and clearly it is not with Action Auto. I can't believe that this is turning out as a case of "my word against yours". Clearly as a business customer service should mean something .......Final Business Response Customer service is our number one priority and there is no other buy here pay here dealership out there that helps customers the way we do. It is beyond all comprehension that they would not take us up on our offer. Most people would have brought the car up here to be repaired as [redacted] and [redacted] suggested. This customer has their own mechanic and using them instead of us is their choice at their expense. Anybody would agree with that. Our receptionist handed the phone to [redacted] that day because [redacted] would not listen to reason with her. When his wife got on the phone she was both insistant and rude. As for them being afraid of us that is ridiculous. This family business has been arround for 11 1/2 years and we have learned thay you just cant please everyone no matter how hard you try. They are really streching with this complaint and since they bought the car without a warranty there is nothing left to say.
