Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
As previously stated, *** *** *** *** informed me in 1/that I had several leaks that needed repair. On 2/21/I brought my vechicle to Action Automotive for all of the
repairs to be made. This included replacing the VC Cover gaskets, Transmission line, and power steering line. I brought my vehicle back to *** *** *** *** on 10/23/14. I was informed that I still had leaking VC Covers and power steering leaks that the leaks that were previously diagnosed by *** *** *** in January 2013, were never repaired, were problematic, and still in need of repair. Mr*** has reported that he performed repairs on my *** on 12/21/That is not correct, the billing invoice and receipts clearly show that the work was supposed to be performed on 2/24/13. Mr*** also never contacted me on 10/29/13. He and I never spoke again until I brought my vehicle to him on 10/24/to complain about the work that he was supposed to have completed on 2/21/which was never doneI also provided him with the paper work from *** *** *** *** and the receipt and billing invoice I received from his garage. On that date, Mr*** did in fact put my car on the lift and in inaccurately diagnosed the problemHe stated that the VC Valve Covers were fine, that the problem was the Main Oil Bearing Gaskets. I took my vehicle to two other garages after receiving his diagnosis and estimates ( *** and *** *** Automotive) both gave me estimates and diagnosed the problem as VC Cover Gaskets and leaking power steering line. They both informed me that the Main Bearings were not in need of repair. I did not take my vehicle back to Mr*** after speaking to the mechanics at *** *** *** ***, ***,, and *** *** Automotive because Mr*** was dishonest with me on more than one occasion. He never performed the workIt does not matter that 20,miles have been added to my miledge. If he performed the work in I should not be having a problem a year later in 2014.
If Mr*** is a reputable mechanic and he stands by his work, has been in business for 18 years then why has he not ever had his business accredited by the Revdex.com? As previously stated, I am requesting reimbursement of $1,in addition to $I paid in car rental fees while Action Automotive was supposed to be repairing my vehicle. The work was either never completed or completed incorrectly. I have also filed a claim against Action Automotive with the CT *** *** Office because I do not want any other hard working consumers to end up in the same position that I am in right now. Paying out thousand of dollars for work that was never completed or not completed properly
Sincerely,*** ***

MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:On 12/21/2013 we did perform the requested repairs on [redacted]'s carIncluded was replacing the valve cover gaskets, replacing the transmission line, replacing o rings in the power steering pump.On or around 10/29/2013 I spoke with [redacted] and asked her to bring her car back in so we could check the work which she was questioning, when she brought in the car I personally brought the car  inside and put it on the lift so it could be checked. At this time she had put approximately 20,000 miles since our repair and had never called or questioned the work during that time.I checked the car and found that the power steering line was leaking, (not part of our original repair) and that the engine rear main seal was leaking not the valve cover gaskets. I actually took [redacted]nto the shop and under the car to show her exactly what and where it was leaking from. I also told her that I would repair the power steering line for her at no charge since it was actually a small repair but could not do it at that exact time.I told her that she should go back to the [redacted] dealer and have them recheck the oil leak diagnosis. Our shop gives a 6 month or 6000 mile warranty on all repairs that are labor related, but would have definitely either fixed or helped her out if the valve covers had actually have been leaking.I have been in business for 18 years. We  always stand behind our work and would NEVER charge someone for any type of work and not actually do it.  Which is what she was actually accusing me of doing.     if you and any question regarding this matter please feel free to call me anytime[redacted]###-###-####

Review: On 2/21/2013 I paid Action Automotive $1,465.78 to have work done on my 2005 [redacted]. Specifically, I hired them to replace and repair the Valve Cover Gaskets, O-Ring, Transmission Line, and repair & replace the power steering lines that were leaking. On 10/23/14 I was informed by [redacted] that my Valve Cover Gaskets were leaking and the Steering O-Ring was leaking. [redacted] had previously diagnosed this problem in 2/2013 which resulted in my taking the vehicle to Action Automotive for repair. The service advisor at [redacted], [redacted], informed me that after inspecting my vehicle, they discovered that the work I was supposed to have done at Action Automotive was never completed. He suggested I take my vehicle back to them for proper repair.

On 10/24/14 I called Action Automotive and requested to speak to the owner [redacted]. I was told he was not in. I left a message requesting [redacted] call me back on Monday morning to discuss the work that I was supposed to have done in Feb. 2013 which was never completed. I never received a return call from Mr. [redacted]. On 10/29/14 I called Action Automotive again. I was able to speak with Mr. [redacted] and explained the problem to him. He informed me that he could take a look at my vehicle. I informed him that I would bring my vehicle to his shop on the afternoon of Friday 10/31/14. On that date, Mr. [redacted] looked my vehicle over, he informed me that he would be able to fix the power steering line but would not be able to do it that day. He also stated that the problem with the vehicle was not the Valve Cover Gaskets that the Main Bearing Oil Seal was leaking. He stated that [redacted] diagnosed the problem incorrectly. I informed Mr. [redacted] that I have been doing business with [redacted] since 2008 that I had purchased my vehicle there and that I highly doubt that they would incorrectly diagnose the problem with my vehicle. That [redacted] does excellent work, they are a reputable company, and that the only reason I did not have them complete the work to begin with was because it would have been extremely expensive, that I decided to have his shop do the work because it was much more affordable. I told Mr. [redacted] that "all I wanted was my vehicle repaired, that I paid him a lot of money and expected him to resolve the problem". I also informed him that I would take my vehicle to another garage to have an additional diagnosis of the problem.

On 11/4/2014 I took my vehicle to [redacted], LLC located at [redacted], CT. They informed me that the problem was that my Valve Cover Gaskets were leaking. They estimated the cost of the repair to be $565.35.

On 11/5/14 I took my vehicle to [redacted] shop located at [redacted], CT They informed me that the problem was that my Valve Cover Gaskets were leaking and the power steering line was leaking. They estimated the cost of the repair to be $597.00. I was informed by [redacted] and [redacted] Automotive that there were no problems with my vehicles Main Bearing Oil Seal which is what Mr. [redacted] claimed the problem was. [redacted] was correct when they stated that the work I was supposed to have done at Action Automotive last year was never completed.Desired Settlement: I no longer wish to ever do business ever again with Action Automotive. I gave the owner of Action Automotive, Mr. [redacted] the opportunity to resolve this problem on 10/31/14. Mr. [redacted] was dishonest and has proven to be dishonest in the work he was hired to complete on my vehicle but never completed or did not properly complete. Mr. [redacted] again demonstrated dishonesty when he stated that the problem with my vehicle was the Main Bearing Oil Seal. I am requesting that Mr. [redacted] provide full reimbursement of $1,465.78 for the funds I paid him for work that was never completed on my vehicle. I will now have to take my vehicle to a reputable mechanic for repair which should have been completed by Action Automotive but was never completed or was not properly completed. I also paid $350 in rental car fees while my vehicle was supposed to be getting repaired at Action Automotive. Mr. [redacted] is aware that purchased a rental car while his shop was supposed to be repairing my vehicle because he personally transported me to [redacted] Rental Car at [redacted] in [redacted] CT.

Therefore I am requesting full reimbursement of $1,815.78.

I will also be filing an additional complaint against Action Automotive with CT [redacted]'s office. It is also my understanding that Action Automotive is a business that is not accredited by the Revdex.com. I will be actively advocating to have this business closed due to fraudulent business practices.
