If you're looking for an honest and dependable mechanic that truly cares about his customers, look no further A little over a year after Action Cylinder rebuilt the engine on my 4Runner, something else went wrong that caused the engine to run lean and again cause internal damage Since the engine was now out of warranty by at least a few months, I was looking at a very expensive repair during a financially difficult time for my family But Richard didn't hesitate He ignored the warranty date and repaired it anyway, saying, and I quote, "My st should last longer than that." This vehicle has been trouble since the day I bought it a couple years ago, and I blame its issues on the dishonesty of the person I purchased it from and the overall poor (and old) state of many parts on the vehicle itself, and not anything Action Cylinder has done I am indebted to this man for his kind spirit and generosity Luckily for me, there are some honest and caring people around and I'm happy I was able to find them at Action Cylinder Heads

Dear [redacted]     Again we are very sorry for your troubles. We are a word of mouth company.  We do not advertise.  It is of utmost importance that our customers are happy. [redacted] complained of a squeaky belt so I changed for free. If there had been a check engine light on for knock sensor or oil temp sending unit, the car would not have been delivered to [redacted].  Furthermore [redacted] would not have accepted the car that way.  [redacted] agreed we would buy a used motor and install in his truck. All electrical components were transferred from the original engine to (new) used engine prior to installation.  On the test drive there were no check engine lights on. [redacted] had the truck for approximately two months.  He drove it to the shop it had a rattle-ling noise.  I had him turn off the truck and wait for a couple of minutes.  The dip stick did not register any oil.  It took 3 1/2 qts. of oil for dipstick to register oil.  When oil is not maintained in engine it voids all warranty's.Those to sensors mentioned would not have prevented oil from entering engine.  The check engine light would have come on letting you know there is a problem of oil temperature.  It is a common mistake people make.  When receiving automotive parts or repairs, does not prevent other components from going bad.  We are very sorry for your troubles but cannot honor warranty under these conditions.  Oil must be maintained in all cars new or used.  Thank you Sincerely

Hello we are still not satisfied sorry we just got your e mail the oil temp sensor oil temp sending unit is on the block an should been working correctly an that's what was failing causing oil not to go to the motor or failing to read on the motor we checked oil a day before we took it to him an didn't drive any where but from el cajon to santee he said it needed 3 quarts of oil he put it in right when we pulled up didn't wait or let it sit any amount of time, the oil sending unit is attached to the block when he put the USED motor in the check engine light should not have come on at all if the work had not been faulty, the unit went bad causing the motor to fail, the knock (detonation) sensor did not detonate at all which also leaves us to believe the motor that was installed was not at all of quality proportions had the knock sensor detonated this could have been prevented had [redacted] done the work correctly the engine would have never thrown the check engine light to begin with.

We at Action Cylinder Heads are very saddened by the health of your son.  Transportation problem can make that an extremely stressful situation. We are praying for your sons health.  1. We went to great lengths to get a good condition core.  When that didn't pail out  Mr [redacted]...

okayed  a used motor. We installed a motor completely and found that it was junk. We completely removed it. We then installed another used motor. They paid for the motor and drove away.2. A couple days later they were back with a noise.  We installed a new serpentine belt for free.  We told them we do not do ignitions and the ignition is nothing we would have touch while installing an engine. We said we could refer out if they wanted.3. 7/11/17 they came back with check engine light on.  We diagnosed it as a oil temperature sending unit.  Which is not part of the engine. We installed it free for free only charging for part.4. 8/2/17 they drove the truck back complaining the engine was making noise.  We had customer turn off engine and wait for about five minutes and checked oil. It was low 3 quartz.  And for that reason we do not honor the warranty. Customer is responsible for maintaining oil level.  [redacted]

If you're looking for an honest and dependable mechanic that truly cares about his customers, look no further. A little over a year after Action Cylinder rebuilt the engine on my 1995 4Runner, something else went wrong that caused the engine to run lean and again cause internal damage. Since the engine was now out of warranty by at least a few months, I was looking at a very expensive repair during a financially difficult time for my family. But Richard didn't hesitate. He ignored the warranty date and repaired it anyway, saying, and I quote, "My st should last longer than that."

This vehicle has been trouble since the day I bought it a couple years ago, and I blame its issues on the dishonesty of the person I purchased it from and the overall poor (and old) state of many parts on the vehicle itself, and not anything Action Cylinder has done. I am indebted to this man for his kind spirit and generosity. Luckily for me, there are some honest and caring people around and I'm happy I was able to find them at Action Cylinder Heads.
