I'll respond to each of the business' comments separately.
"We replied each time they called which is why we were in their yard to check on the sump pump." - I called three times on 2/5, 2/6, and 2/7 asking to speak to the owner. I also called once asking them to provide me the exact model number they installed. One time I received a response from Jay (who is not the owner). Two times I left a message with reception to speak to the owner and never received a call back. The time I called asking for the model number they said they would call me back, but never followed up. Additionally, they showed up at least 3 times unannounced and uninvited during both days that we were engaging with their business. They had left the job “complete” and they came back to our back yard later in the day and the following day without calling us to tell us they were coming. One time, my wife walked out our front door and saw them walking down our driveway, but they didn’t ring out doorbell to let us know they were there. This is fraudulent and trespassing on our property.
"The customer was told their options and chose to go with the same model pump they had prior.” The only options we were provided were going with the same model pump or replace the entire basin. Action Jackson did not provide us with an option to go with a better pump. Action Jackson told us replacing with the same pump would work and we should check in with them once a year to have it maintained, implying it would work for multiple years.
"They were also told their basin needed replaced in order for the pump to work properly and they were never told it would cost 10k in fact the invoice quite clearly says $4200.” We never got an estimate from Sewer Friendly so I’m not sure where the $4,200 is coming from. We decided not to go with Sewer Friendly because of the poor interactions we had with Action Jackson. We had multiple estimates from other companies that were in the 10K realm (note that this number is not from Action Jackson or Sewer Friendly). When another plumber installed a 1 horsepower pump instead of the 1/2 horsepower pump Action Jackson installed, the pump worked immediately. The issue was not a faulty basin, but the low HP pump Action Jackson installed.
"As for the raw sewage, this is the first time that complaint has ever come up and I highly doubt this happened. If it did it would have been cause for a consenting session of the tech and possibly firing.” - This is completely false. On both 2/4/16 and 12/9/15 Action Jackson used a Shop Vac to manually empty our sewage basin into the abandoned alley behind our house. When they arrived on 2/4/16, our basin was about 80% full of sewage. They used the shop vac to empty the basin, carrying it into the alley to dump it out on the dirt. That allowed them to further examine the pump. I did not get a photo of Action Jackson dumping the sewage, but attached is a photo of the sewage dumped in the alley. Based on how they did this two times over two different visits, I assume this is a normal practice of their company to dispose of raw sewage.

I have attached both the invoice where we did the job and left with the pump working properly, I also attached the invoice showing one of our return visits where we charged nothing and again told them to replace the faulty basin. As for the raw sewage, this is the first time that complaint has ever come up and I highly doubt this happened. If it did it would have been cause for a consenting session of the tech and possibly firing.
