We have been trying to work with this client on this matter I have submitted several insurance claims in response and since the timing of his complaint to us was outside of the scope of the inspection agreement and contract there was nothing we could done He states that his first
contact with us was in Dec of 2016, When in fact it was actually in Jan As also indicated in the actual home inspection of which we performed, the foundation was in very poor shape and we stated that We also stated to have a foundation specialist or contractor further investigate the issues before he decided to purchase the property Dan then says that he did and also sent me some information saying it was done about months ago It was the determination of the insurance company that this was not performed before the purchase of the house and none of the statements provided where dated or signed We have since determined thru our attorneys and insurance companies that there is nothing further we can do He violated the inspection agreement by not contacting us within year, he did not afford us an opportunity to come out and look at first thoughts of damage and numerous other items listed in the agreement of which he signed and dated as did my inspector The issues where clearly stated and now he is trying to get money for damages he new about in the first place

I am rejecting this response because:
 How was ‘it determined’?  They have not contacted me or visited the home.  They have not consulted with the 3 professional companies that inspected the damage. The grout was not brand new nor was the bathroom freshly remodeled.  The grout was breaking and dusty.  The shower was used because it had hair in the drain when I moved in and cleaned it.  It was obviously used; therefore, since they conclude it was brand new, it is obvious their inspection was insufficient. It was determined ‘by us’….This is a very self serving comment.  It was determined ‘by me’ that they are at fault for a deficient inspection. “Have since spoken with her real estate agent and other involved (who is the other involved?) and it was in fact not our fault”.  I contacted my real estate agent (she is copied on this email).  They did not contact her to make this determination with her.  It is my understanding from discussion with her that they in fact told her they had contacted me and visited the home to discuss the problems which they have not.  I think this shows that a pattern of deception or falsehoods by this business and employees. “They suggested that I contact the old sellers”  Who did they suggest this to?  They have not responded to me in any way at any time. That is my response.  I find the manner in which Pillar To Post is operating to be despicable.  I cautioned Ms. Torres about recommending them in the future based on their unprofessional and dishonorable dealings with our family.  I request a refund of the fee that I paid for the inspection. Thank you.[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:I called in Dec 2016 but they never responded until Jan 2017.I did have the foundation looked at where the inspector pointed out prior to purchasing the home.  I told the business that but they didn't listen.  There were also major issues with the floor joists, they were all completely rotten off.  Pillar to Post wouldn't respond in a timely manner any time I contacted them.  They have not honored their responsibility in the contract nor would the provide documentation.  They still owe me $80000 for the cost of rebuilding the home.  Pillar to Post h

This was in fact taken care of.  I do agree that it was late and we where going thru big changes company wide and it was my fault.  I apologized immediately and took care of this situation.

After further review of the inspection report in question, it was determined that the damage may have occurred after the client moved in.  The pictures in the report and from my inspector show that the bathroom in question was in fact in good shape at the time of the inspection.  The...

grout was brand new and the bathroom room was freshly remodeled ( this was in fact a flip house).  It was determined by us that this was not our responsibility and have since spoken with her realest agent and other involved and it was in fact not our fault. We suggested that she contact the old sellers of the property and go that route as there was nothing we could do about the situation.  I will also take care of my clients if there is a situation that we have made a mistake on.
