I am sorry that you had problems, the spark plugs were changed - the tech that worked on your boat has been in the marine industry over years I find it perplexing that you had a hard time starting it the first time in Minnesota but then it appears you did not have a hard time after thatAre you stating that you only started the boat times in 2015? Again, any fuel related issues are guaranteed for days, it is after that time we can not warranty as we do not know what types of fuel customers are using and how long the fuel is sitting there. We did drain the tank in 2015, however there could possibly be deposits that were not removed - I can not say that 100% of the fuel in the tank was removed - there may have been some residue t is not true that we are the only ones that touched the motor - you stated that you brought the motor to a dealer in Minnesota

The boat was taken by the *** and the lower unit was damaged by them We have been working to find the replacement parts for them I have spoken to *** about the under water impact that occurred while they had the boat The prop shaft is broken in half - which will need to
get repaired There would be no refund of money as the customers damaged the boat while in their care We did offer a loaner for the memorial day weekend and did not receive a confirmation call from them to verify that they did want to use a loaner I have received one message that they had called and I did return Darrin's call I am working on an estimate for them, but do not have all of the part numbers that are needed Once I recieve the information from tech I will be able to get an accurate estimate to them for the repairs Thank you and have a great day

When you put fresh fuel in and let it sit for three months the fuel will go bad.  May 7 2015 was when we finished the boat.  We did not receive any other information until September of 2016.  I am not sure how any person can hold a dealership responsible for fuel related issues a year...

and half later.  Fuel has a phase separation and deterioration that can happen in as little as a month if not treated.  Sea Foam is not a fuel stabilizer it is a carburetor additive.  We did run out to the boat and clean the small fuel spill at no charge this year.  We did recommend that the fuel be treated with a stabilizer and we have no knowledge if the boat has been ran at this point by the customer

Regards,
Terrance [redacted]As I stated before when I picked up the boat in May 2015 I was told it had been tested and was ok. When I took the boat to Mn. in August 2015 ,I put $10.00 worth of gas in it .When I put the boat in the water it took approx.45 minutes to get the motor started.Once it started the remainder of the time in Crosslake Mn. 5 days it would start but it would not run the way it was designed to(power). When I returned to Kenosha I contacted your tech and was told it would be ok.I foolishly believed this I  .I took the boat to Paddock Lake in November and put sea foam in the tank and ran the motor to put it away for the season, approx 45 minutes.I disconnected thew fuel line and ran the motor to use the fuel in the bowl..When I took the motor to Crosslake Mn. the motor would not start. All the dealer did in Crosslake Mn. was verified spark and replaced the spark plugs which I have they are totally fouled .I would be happy to show you the spark plugs!Your tech called me and informed me the motor started just fine? What did he do to get the motor started?Because it would not start in Mn.

Review: I trusted Action Marine to look at my boat motor that was having some issues with milky crankcase oil that smelled very strong like gasoline. After having the boat for three weeks, they called to tell me that I had a cracked intake manifold that needed to be replaced and they needed me to authorize 3 more hours so they could remove the intake manifold and look deeper into the motor. I spoke to a separate marina and they told me to remove the boat from Action marine immediately because something sounded very sketchy. That same day I went to pick up my boat from Action Marine I requested to speak with the mechanic who diagnosed the engine with a "cracked intake manifold" which was also stated on the invoice. The mechanic could not tell me where the crack was, but that there was a couple drops of water on the bottom side of the intake manifold. I asked if he had run the motor and he said "no" then changed his mind and said he only ran it for a second. Please note there wasn't any oil in the motor and I informed the marina that I drained the oil before dropping it off. I was charged for an hour labor, shop supplies and an environmental oil recycle fee. not sure how I was charged for oil recycling when there wasn't any oil in the motor when I dropped it off and there wasn't any oil in the motor when I picked it up. I paid the invoice and left Action Marina very dissatisfied. We were very fortunate to have removed our boat from Action Marine because the second Marina only found that the carburetor was sending too much gas to the motor which fouled the engine crankcase oil. the other marina changed the oil and replaced the carburetor, we have been running our boat multiple times since then with no sign of water leak, crack intake manifold, or milky oil. If we would have left our boat with Action Marine we would still to this day not have a running boat and have fraudulently been charged for service not needed as well as a intake manifold that was never cracked. After my wife contacted Action marine we were told they would call us back the following day. No call was returned, My wife called them back a week later and explained the situation, they rudely and belligerently called her a liar and used foul language with a disturbing tone. The owner said she could not remember which boat was ours and that maybe the mechanic was mistaken on which boat had the crack. They still refused to reimburse us for the misdiagnosis. I called to speak with the owner myself and was told I would receive a call back. I did not receive a call.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology to my wife from the business owner for the terrible way she was treated on the phone. I would also like a refund. I believe this is the least they can do for having our boat for 3 weeks and almost scamming us into very expensive and unnecessary service as well as stating on the invoice " Technician found crack on intake".

Review: March 2011, the boat ZX190 Skeeter that I had ordered straight from the Manufacture had arrived. I had ordered the boat with a few upgrades to the standard features. I have been going through the paperwork and found the manufacturers suggested retail price form (window sticker) and it stated that there was a down grade from the standard trolling motor. It was to be a Minn Kota Max 80lbs thrust, 24 Volt, 42 inch shaft. It was replaced with a Minn Kota Egde 70lbs thruster. It also was suppose to have a GPS antenna for the fishfinders installed but I was told that there was an internal one, which there was. Also an interlink system was to be installed on the fishfinders. My fault for not looking very well but this was my first bass fishing boat and was not keen to a lot of the final features. I had called a former employee and they had stated that they have no clue why it was down graded and it shouldn't have been. There is about a 300-400 dollar difference between the two motors. Also the antenna that I had to have installed was 135 dollars. The internal one was over 10 yards off from the actual spot, but that's besides the point. I do not have the interlink box. My question is that why would I down grade something like that if it did not change the price. I have not called action marine due to the fact I have had other problems with the boat when I first got it. I also know that there will be an excuse after excuse. That is all it seem like every time I brought it in for issues. One of the issues was my live wells were not working, they couldn't figure it out, also one of the fishfinders were having an issue with the Side and Down imaging. None of that stuff didn't get fixed until I had moved to Texas and took it to the Skeeter Dealer their who was also wondering why there was a smaller trolling motor than the standard one. The wiring of the fishfinders where hooked up wrong when they assembled the electronics when I received it.Desired Settlement: I want the standard options that were suppose to come with the boat. I will send this trolling motor back to them when they send me the new one at there expense. Also a refund of the price of the antenna that I bought. I also want the interlink box. I would also like to see where I had agreed to the down grade which again don't make since.

Response:

I apologize for not getting this to you sooner, it has been a busy boating week. In regards to [redacted], he claims that the trolling motor was downgraded. This is not true and can be verified from the documents I have from Skeeter. It is the manufacturer that will time to time change standards and options on a boat. I can fax you a contract [redacted] and [redacted] signed, as well as the purchase order from Skeeter. Nothing was downgraded and Skeeter rigged the electronics. Not Action Marine. If [redacted] would like to contact Skeeter then he should do so, as we did not order a different trolling motor then the that came standard. [redacted] may remember that he was also dealing with a quote from another marina, we took that quote and matched it. Again it would be to his advantage to speak to Skeeter as to why the boat was rigged the way it was rigged. [redacted] ordered the boat and signed off on it. Unfortunately she is not here any longer.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

In my defense to this response once again. I did not know what some of the componates that were standard because like I said it was my first boat. To the quote they matched was just a number not a typed up discriptions of options. It was a hand written quote from the boat show. I do remember asking about certain things on the build form, and they said everything is a standard option. 70 lbs trolling motor is less than standard option. I have been played a fool and never will I do business again with a company like this. If you research Skeeter ZX190 it will show you that it is an 80 lbs thruster. [redacted] needs to stop acting like she doesn't know anything about it because [redacted] had to get everything approved from [redacted]. Being a Skeeter dealer, you know the standards that come on the boat. To down play something that they state I was we'll aware about is crap. Again why would I down size my trolling motor and pay for the standard size. I was told by the skeeter dealer in Janesville to watch out for action marine. I trusted action marine to not listen to the other dealer. In fact I told [redacted] about the dealer and she even called them. DO NOT TRUST ACTION MARINE!!!!!! And on the case of trying to call Skeeter you cannot contact them. If you do they will tell you to talk to your local dealer. I challenge Revdex.com to try contacting them and ask about this. I also challenge Revdex.com to get a Skeeter Brousher and look at standard options. Also [redacted] called the order in not [redacted]. [redacted] was just a sales person.
