Action Restoration and Cleaning (Former Owner)

I utilized Action Restoration & Cleaning for my flooded basement on 5/ After walking around the basement and assessing the damage, they recommended carpet removal and fans and dehumidifiers for 3-days The owner John advised me insurance would probably not cover the cost which it did not I asked him how much it would cost me and he said the usual cost would be $2000-$ The floor area was SF and the work was done by the owner, John, and another guy the same day and the drying took days John said we could save money by clearing everything out of the basement and helping carry the carpet out which we did I was shocked to get a bill for $5, I called John to see if it was a mistake because this was more than double the estimate and he said he quoted me $2500-$for the USUAL but because it was a Sunday and Mother's Day it was more I told him he had misled me and he just said it was the going rate I unfortunately did not get the estimate in writing I would not recommend this company; work OK but not honestIronically I had picked them because of no Revdex.com complaints

The owner John advised me insurance would probably not cover the cost which it did not. I asked him how much it would cost me and he said the usual cost would be $2000-$2500. The floor area was 944 SF and the work was done by the owner, John, and another guy the same day and the drying took 3 days. John said we could save money by clearing everything out of the basement and helping carry the carpet out which we did. I was shocked to get a bill for $5,287.36. I called John to see if it was a mistake because this was more than double the estimate and he said he quoted me $2500-$3000 for the USUAL but because it was a Sunday and Mother's Day it was more.
