[redacted],My name is [redacted], and I am the owner of Action Services WildLife & Pest Control. I am responding to the complaint made by Mrs. [redacted], and I am including a copy of her signed Contract, as well as a copy of her invoice. Mrs. [redacted] signed a contract & she gave us the...

required 50% down payment in the form of a check for $5793.55 on Tuesday, November 15th, and we scheduled  her work for Thursday, November 17th. We always try to give the customer at least 24 hours from the time they sign the contract until the time that we start working so that they have time to reconsider before we actually begin the work. Mrs. [redacted] had 2 days to change her mind and yet she let my guys into her house on Thursday to start taking her old insulation out and my guys were there working all day. The next day (Friday) when they showed up to work she told [redacted] that she had changed her mind and that we were to expensive, so that's when [redacted] called me and told me what she said. I contacted Mrs. [redacted] and she told me that we were to expensive & when I told her that she had signed a contract and that we had already started the work, she then said that she wasn't happy with the work, and she didn't want us to come back, so I offered to go to her house and oversee the job personally to make sure that she was satisfied with our work, but she declined. I told her that I would not try to force her to honor her contract but she needed to at least let us finish the insulation removal & replacement since she had already paid us $5793.55 of the $6800.00 that we were charging her for that part, and that's when she informed me that she had put a "Stop payment" on the check that she had written, & when I asked her about paying me for the work that my guys had already done she told me that she didn't want to argue with me and then she hung up on me. I tried calling her 3 more times (and my phone company can prove this) that day to try to get her to at least pay me for the work that we did but she never answered my calls and she never called me back. I sent [redacted] back over there but she wouldn't open the door. Saturday morning I got a voicemail from her while I was in the shower telling me that I was "stealing her money" and that she was going to take some kind of action because she waited too long to "stop payment" so I sent [redacted] back over to her house to try to resolve the issue but she wouldn't open her door. That's basically what happened. 1) She signed a contact2) She gave us the required 50% down.3) She had 2 days to change her mind prior to letting us start work.4) She let us in to take out the insulation and my guys were there working all day Thursday and she NEVER SAID A WORD!5) She let my guys work for a full day and then she tried to "stop payment" on the check that she gave us but she waited too long & the check cleared my account.      FYI- [redacted] (My attorney) told me that if she had been successful in stopping the payment that she would have broken the law and I think she knew that.6) She refused to work with me to resolve the issue.7) She tried to stiff me for the work that we did and when that did not work she called and left me a threatening voicemail. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank You!Demand Excellence,[redacted]Owner[redacted]
