Review: Action Pest Control came to my 94 year old mother's house to check for bedbugs on November 4th, 2015. She was charged $300.00 for the inspection. My niece also called for an appointment and was told $250.00. The technician found bedbugs in the master bedroom and said it was $500.00 a room. She also wanted prep work and was told it was $400.00 extra. He then said his dog found bedbugs in the guest room bed however that bed was just brought into their house last week and no one has sat or slept on it. His final cost was $1,200.00 and when I called and questioned this they said the second bed was not mentioned in the paperwork. I then said the price should be $900.00. I asked for my mother's money back for the inspection because I felt she was taken advantage of because of her age. The office manager said she would only give my mother a refund of $50.00 but if I made a complaint she would give her nothing.Desired Settlement: Action Pest Control came to my 94 year old mother's house to check for bedbugs on November 4th, 2015. Review: I contacted action a few mths ago for bed bug inspection and treatment. At the inspection I told the rep I also had seen a few roaches in the kitchen and would like that treated as well. He told me that the bed bug treatment was so strong it would kill any other type of bugs we had. I asked for them to use that product that protects you for a yr they said I did not need it because we didnt have a big problem that it was only recommended to people with a big infestation. After the treatment of the bedbugs I still noticed a few bedbugs on my headboard and small roaches in the kitchen I called action and was told the person who handled my case was not in they would have her call me back. I never got a call back from anyone I continued to call evey so often and never got anyone when I finally did, I was told my 3mths warranty was expired and there was nothing else they could do. They were supposed to come back and do another treatment if I noticed any more bedbugs now im out over $500 and still have a bedbugs last wk I had to get rid of my box springs cuz I found bed bugs on it. They were very rude and nasty over the phone. They said maybe it was because my house was not clean. When that is not the case. I want a refund or for them to do the treatment again.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to come back and do the job RIGHT!! I want to have my bedbug treatment done and the spray for the roaches.

Customer called 2/26/2014, stating that she had a bedbug issue. Action sent a canine team, dog and handler to her 4 bedroom home on, 2/27/2014. Our canine alerted to bedbugs on her headboard in her master bedroom. We accepted her coupon, for the sweep, and our handler wrote a contract for a $500.00+tax treatment to her master bedroom only with a 90 day warranty. Normally, since we were only treating the one bedroom it would have been $500.00+tax with a 30 day warranty. First treatment was scheduled and completed on 3/4/2014. Second, final, treatment was scheduled and we sent out another canine team. Upon arrival, we completed the sweep with our canine, found no active bed bugs, our handler could not complete product application because there was no adult present. We rescheduled the final treatment with product on 3/14/2014. The 90 day warranty began as of the final treatment which was 3/14/2014. The customer called us on 4/23/2014 because she owed a balance of $35.00, (the tax), and at that time, said that she is still having a problem with her roach's. Customer did not schedule, nor, pay for a roach treatment. Customer was not interested in paying for a roach treatment. While a bed bug treatment can help eliminate roaches. this service would not have because we only treated her master bedroom. With a courtesy spray to rest of the home. The next contact from our customer was 7/2/2014. Customer was informed that they were out of warranty. And, the roach's were never part of our service. But, we sent out another canine team, and again, customer was not home, and never informed children that we were coming. The next form of communication was a letter of complaint from Revdex.com. In addition, at the time of the final treatment, there were no signs of bed bugs. We feel that we fulfilled our contractual agreement, and are dismayed that our customer feels unsatisfied. We believe in customer service, and we believe we performed our duties accordingly. Every phone call received from customer, was returned. I am rejecting this response because: Like I stated in my complaint it was discussed during the initial inspection that I wanted the house treated for small roaches as well as the bedbug treatment. If I wasn't misinformed by the action representative completing the inspection I would of done whatever needed to be done for both problems to be treated. In addition I SPECIFICALLY requested that action call me and notified me before visiting my home. I work 0.3 miles away from my home and if my request had been followed properly and I would of been notified I would of been available to meet the inspector when he came. They did not call they just showed up at my house and then left, no one left a note or called to say they could not do what needed to be done because there wasn't an adult present. I made numerous calls before the warranty expired but never received a call back. Like I stated before a couple times I called, I got someone who stated the person I needed to speak to was not available and I was transferred to a voicemail, which I left a message on and never go a call back. I believe action failed my as a customer.
