In June, active appliance came out to repair my washer dryerAfter they left the dryer didn't heat up as much as it used to and the washer was completely off balanceI tried to get a hold of them but was left on hold so long that I ended up hanging upWhen I finally got through to them, they told me It was beyond the days and They'd have to charge me againI explained to them that the problem was based on something their service technician had done, and I wasn't willing to pay for someone to come out again They put me back on hold, and I've been on hold for minutesI have no intention of ever using his company again, and I'm willing to pay a whole new company to come out and start this process over again just so I don't have to deal with themI do not recommend this company to anyone

Shame on me for not having read the reviews here BEFORE I chose Active Appliances to repair our refrigerator!!! In the process of repairing the ice maker, significant scratches appeared on the "flawless" stainless steel door right above the panel that was removed to make the repair The service technician stated "I was not even near that section" (What???) He stated it was probably smudges & to use a stainless steel cleaner...and to prove a point, I did it Lo & behold, they WERE scratches...but he was already moving out the door
In addition, the thermostat was turned off by the technician during the repair - but not turned back on We didn't realize this until we discovered items in the freezer melting a few hours later We turned the thermostat back on to "Max Cool" and fortunately only needed to throw out a few items
Needless to say, I sent an email to their "customer service" stating the above, naively thinking I'd get a response - but alas, no reply How pathetic!

We bought a microwave oven with extended warranty with active appliance. They came on two weeks ago to fix it and were unable to as they needed to order parts. when reinstalling the microwave they re-used the old duct tape and left greasy fingerprints all over the microwave.

Today they are supposed to be here between 8:00 AM and noon, it is 12:25 and no sign of them.

This company has the worst customer service I have ever seen. I scheduled an appointment with them and then the morning of the appointment, they cancelled. I rescheduled for a Saturday between 8:00 am and noon and they never showed up. They never called or anything. I called them at noon and they put me on hold forever. They finally came back and said the truck broke down so they need to reschedule for another week. I said I will find someone else since they cancelled on me twice.

They take your $125 service fee and run, never call you back, their phone service puts you on hold for days. I will NOT stop posting about them until I get a refund of my $125. Unbelievable.
