The vehicle referred to in Ms*** complaint was brought to our shop for transmission repairsIn diagnosing the transmission problem it was determined the "mass air flow unit" was
defectiveMs*** agreed to have us make the transmission repairsWhile we were in process of making the repairs, Ms*** called and asked us to also fix the headlightWe told her the wires to the light were dangling and would need to be repairedWe further told Ms*** we could repair the wiring for twenty ($20.00) dollars plus parts which she agreed toLet me emphasize, the diagnostic fee referred to in Ms ***' complaint is included in our final billFurther, headlight wiring repair and headlight bulb are included in our final bill of three hundred fifty two dollars and seventy two cents ($357.72)Comparison of cost from competing auto repair shops will quickly Verify that our final bill in this matter is more than fairNow, as far as the "check engine" light coming back on some three (3) weeks laterWhen Ms*** brought the "check engine" light to our attention we assured her we would determine if that light coming on was due to our installation of the "mass- air flow" unitHowever, it is unreasonable for Ms*** to expect us to deal with additional issues referred to in her complaintIf I may be of further information, please feel free to contact me

Work done by us at our shop is limited to two issues, transmission and headlight bulb/wire. Parts for the transmission repair were obtained from the dealer, Dreyer & Reinhold of Greenwood. A copy of the invoice detailing our cost for parts is enclosed. For further information a copy of the invoice detailing our charges to the customer, Ms. [redacted] is also attached. This covers the entire agreement for service between the customer, Ms [redacted] and our company. Anything expressed by Ms. [redacted] beyond these two issues are imaginary. While some of Ms. [redacted]'s comments are disturbing, we see no point in addressing these imaginary issues. Accordingly, with this letter, we consider the matter closed. Thank you.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Since the manager at Active Auto Service would not even look at my car again when I took it back, I have since then taken it to a Dealer who stated that since Active Auto Service put in an after market part, which I wasn't given the option of after market or dealer part, This would void my warranty. The headlight and wire replacement is still not fixed as you can see on the print out that I've attached. You say that your prices are competitive or less. Note Dryer Reinbold price I paid for diagnostic test was. $54.50. This was less than the $65.00 charged at Active Auto Service. FinallyAfter seeing the diagnostic test that Dryer Reinbold ran, I don't understand why the only thing fixed was the Mass air flow? When obviously there was a lot more that needed fixed. Is their diagnostic machine really that bad?

Not for sure what this individual is talking about imaginary claims? This auto shop can't even replace a headlight, If the respondent had took the time to read the attached treatment plan from Drier Rienbold she would had seen that the front right headlight still needs repaired. Also, she did not address why their diagnostic machine didn't show everything that was wrong with the vehicle. This is a no win situation so Consumers beware if you go to this auto repair shop this place is a joke where they live in some imaginary world.
