Acton Toyota Reviews (2)

I purchased an 08 Prius from Acton Toyota on 9/20/14Returned it for repairs on 9/24/14The work was poorly done making the damage worseWindows and trunk were rattling, the radio doesn't tune in to am or fm channels, brakes feel spongy, car feels loose, speedometer cluster stopped working, the rear bumper was damaged and the decal on the trunk was missing. So, I brought it back to have the issues addressed. I was contacted on 10/2/14 telling me it was ready. I went to pick it up on 10/3/14 and the repair work was incorrectly done. The trunk has to be forced open and the new bumper cover was incorrectly installed. I left the car there and contacted the sales team to see what could be done as I feel like I bought a lemon. I'm being told I would have to trade it in towards a different vehicle. I as provided with a quote for a different vehicle that had a payment $50 over my budget plus the term was longer. I'm being forced into returning the loaner car today and don't feel comfortable taking the Prius home. However, I don't have a choice since the Prius is my car. I feel like a victim of bad customer service because the car wasn't properly repaired and they don't seem to care. Both the [redacted] and [redacted] are pressuring me into thinking the car is safe and I should just take it home. At this point I want a full refund for the purchase so I can go to another dealership and they're not allowing the refund. So, I'd like to open a Revdex.com case against Acton Toyota for providing false information and not repairing the car correctly. I'm worried the car will continue to break and I'll be stuck with a lemonDesired SettlementI would like one of the below options:A full refund including purchase price and any applicable feesA replacement vehicle preferably one that's Toyota Certified or comes with a no cost warrantyA 3 year/36k mile no deductible Toyota used car warrantyBusiness Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@actontoyota.comThe bumper cover was originally touched up and at the customer's request it was subsequently replaced. The instrument cluster was covered by a manufacturer recall at no cost to the customer.Other vehicles of the customer's choosing were offered as a replacement with the customer's full purchase price being applied to the more expensive vehicles. The customer declined. The vehicle continues to be covered by the remainder of the used vehicle warranty and any covered repairs will be handled accordingly.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Other vehicles of the customer's choosing were offered as a replacement with the customer's full purchase price being applied to the more expensive vehicles. - taken from the responseAgreed, however, I wasn't told I was receiving the full purchase price towards the more expensive vehicles. I was told, "We can get you into the 09 Prius for $326.73 x 60 Months. That includes trade, taxes, registration and dealer doc fee." To me it sounded like I wasn't being offered a full refund, just a trade-in value. The three vehicles I sent in were listed below. The reason I chose these three cars is because they were certified or appeared to be in better condition. I paid the CarFax price because the damage wasn't noted, so I thought I had more equity. I picked the car up wednesday night and it still wasn't repaired correctly. The bumper wasn't repaired as it should have been which is why I left the car t[redacted]e the first time I came to pick it up. In addition the drivers side window is still loose and rattling, I can hear the outside when the door is closed and it still feels loose, it's sways all over the highway. As your customer I feel as though I was sold a lemon, I did the right thing and brought it in for repairs. The repairs were done incorrectly and no one offered me any options. I love how your business continues pointing their finger at the consumer. I'd like to have my existing vehicle repaired correctly and I think Acton Toyota should offer me a no deductible warranty through Toyota. I feel as though I'm owed at least that since the car still isn't repaired, I overpaid and I've had to take time out of my personal life to resolve this issue.2009 Prius (SXXXXXA) - potential, need to know options and see pictures2010 Prius II [redacted] - nice car, lacking some options I wanted when I began car shopping2008 Prius (SXXXXXA-9) - noted accident on the carfax but overall shape seems to be okay, has the options I want, needs warrantyFinal Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/[redacted] DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Sorry, but this isn't acceptable. The car wasn't repaired correctly. The trunk continues to rattle, the bumper cover wasn't installed correctly, the decal wasn't applied (I received it in the mail yesterday), the drivers side window continues to rattle and the car sways all over the highway. The new issue us a clunking noise in the front end when driving over bumps. I'm a month into owning the vehicle and fear things will continue breaking. I purchased the vehicle from Acton Toyota and you're not offering me any other options. Yes I declined a higher payment vehicle, I wasn't even provided with a purchase price, just the payment. This was a customer satisfaction issue and as your customer I'm not satisfied. Yes, maybe you didn't know the vehicle had damage when you sold it to me, but I noticed it and did the right thing and brought it back for repairs. The repairs weren't done properly which has led us to this Revdex.com case. This is your second reply without offering me any options. Whether it be a warranty or a comparable vehicle that is in good working order. Please put yourself in my shoes and picture yourself investing weeks searching for the right vehicle, finding it and paying close to asking price because it had a clean carfax, only to find out it was damaged. So, you go back to the seller and they treat you like a victim. I spent my hard earned money on this car. I'm not some [redacted] kid off the street. I have a family, a full time job and a college education. It's not my intention to cause Acton Toyota any issues, however, they aren't resolving mine. So, this case will remain open until a satisfactory agreement is reached. I recall being told by the [redacted] that the works for Acton Toyota because they stand by there word and guarantee there service. I trusted their word and felt comfortable buying a car from you. I'm finding out that isn't the case since you all seem to think the car is in good working order. That just isn't true.I will leave the decal you mailed me in the box pending your reply, which will hopefully say more than the car is in good working order. Final Business Response If there are any "covered" defects presented to us during the warranty period we will be happy to repair them. The customer needs to make an appointment with the Service Department at his earliest convenience and any "covered" defects will be addressed.
