Acunas painting & construction My husband & I came across Erasmo when we were looking to add a room to our house (which is a whole other issue but if you would like to know the specifics of what happened I will let you know)We have a signed contract with Erasmo where it says that the contractor is responsible for getting the permits needed for the jobHe obviously didn't get them cause here I amWe need to buy the house from ourselves & are being told from the lender that they are requiring the permits from the addition in order to get the financing for the houseSo we had let him know that we needed them on 12/& hadn't gotten anything from himHe apparently was out of town & was supposed to get them for us on Monday (he happens to like Mondays)Well needless to say Monday hasn't arrivedSo I called the city to see about getting the permits & was told that no permits had been requested for our addressSo I asked what I needed to do in order to get this taken care ofI was told I need to apply for the permits, then (since our project had been completed) I need to have an electrical & structural engineer to come out & make holes in my new walls to make sure that everything was done to codeI sent Erasmo a text on 1/advising him of what I was told & what his options were, either he gets someone out here to fix this, I call around to get quotes or we sue him to fix thisEither way he was going to have to pay for it cause if he had gotten the permits like he was supposed to have done like it stipulated in his contract we wouldn't be in this situation with the bankI also gave him days to get it taken care of cause he LOVES to take him time with everythingHe replied (acknowledging he got the text) saying he would call us at a certain timeWhich he did & said that he would be going to get the permits & has an engineer that he could get out here to get this taken care offSo when I called him out on 1/Saturday for his lack of action he sent this: "Woo sorry meant to send u a messageWas not able to pull permit yesterday They showed my insurance to be expiredI already had my insurance people send em copy of updated insuranceI pay yearly they never had received updated copyI will have to get it Monday morning They have all paper work already." Well needless to say Monday hasn't arrived againHere we 1/WednesdaySo now I'm forced to call around to get quotes from the engineers then call an attorney & start a suit against him & the companyDo not give this man your businessHe takes on too much workHis own guys told us that we shouldn't of hired himThat he falls behind on everything & will promise to catch up but NEVER doesI really didn't want to do this cause the guys that he contracts do a good job & are good guysBut he has left me no choice

Worst organization These clowns are expertly quick to cash a check, and slower than a Snail to complete a home renovationIn good faith I hired them was promised on two separate occasions that the work would be completed within weeksMONTHS later not even half wayNow the owner Erasmo A*** rarely answers my callsContinue to feed me BSNow I am trying to fire him to which is extremely accomplish due to the fact he is in hiding Please seriously consider a organization who carries themselves much more professional I made the mistake of hiring the cheapest laborCome to find other clients had the exact complaint

Very Interesting to note .........the below quoted complaint & desired settlement was from a previous unknown customers complaint that I just ran acrossbut it's almost exactly the same scenario that's happening to me except my Contractror has taken my money but completely stopped showing up without responding & is now delaying a contracted commitment of months into months & countingI literally copied & pasted the below complaint & only added my slightly different twist with the parenthesis shown below
"Complaint: Contracted July ---(23'x23' rear room addition for my elderly parents house) ---and there has been consistent non performanceFinish date is now------ (months & counting) ------ overdue, and no idea of when project may completeContractor has requested and received----- (2/3's)----of payment for labor and materials, yet continues to fail to progress or even have a schedule of when work will proceed or completeHome ----(addition framing/electrical partially done) ---, and work not progressingContractor has not meet any stated meet time, or work progress - for instance, he will advise----(he) will be here on a certain day/time and----(he)----do not come, -----(he doesn't respond to emails or texts or mailed letters)
Desired Settlement: I want a schedule of when project will be completed, when what parts will be done anda schedule of when workers will be hereI would like to impose financial penalty if work not completed."
