founded in 1979, and has been a fully accredited Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine school for nearly 30 years.  MCOM offers a comprehensive education in acupuncture, medicinal herbs, and nutrition.  MCOM’s courses and practical clinics are offered at a variety of times and days, to permit students to have flexibility in maintaining their schedules. MCOM preserves the ancient traditions of Oriental Medicine while incorporating modern medical knowledge, theories, and techniques.  MCOM students enrolled in the combined Bachelor of Science/Master of Science in Oriental Medicine program have 54 months to complete their studies in this program.  Approximately 80% of MCOM’s graduates in this program are practitioners in the field of Oriental Medicine and/or Acupuncture. Under the program, students are provided with ample opportunity to develop their skills to, among other subjects, select Chinese prepared herbal formulas and to recommend nutraceutical products based on diagnoses. Students also have ample opportunity to fulfill the coursework requirements, which include various clinical components.  MCOM is committed to supporting all of its students.  MCOM specifically provides for a procedure in its Student Handbook to insure student complaints are heard and addressed.  Any students with a complaint or grievance should avail themselves of the student grievance procedures outlined in the MCOM Student Handbook.
