Review: I took my Acura MDX to Acura of Avon after I was involved in an accident where it was hit on the side of the road. The claim process was a nightmare from start to finish; they wouldn't do anything with the car until I arranged everything with the insurance and every time there was a question, they didn't follow up with the adjusters and it caused significant delays. All in all, they took 10 weeks to do the work, completely unacceptable. When I got the car back and took it on the highway, it was vibrating and shaking. Brought it back in and they found that the wheels were never balanced, the rear rim on the tire that was supposed to be new is bent and the tires are "chopped", these are supposed to be new tires. To me that signals they were fraudulent and not to mention the complete lack of customer service. They never called me back quickly, I requested a loaner car repeatedly, they took all day to call back until 7 pm to tell me that they cant find one and I should just come pick up my car myself. They wouldn't just fix the issue, they kept trying to hang it on another shop, keeping me waiting while they figure out what went wrong with their vendors. I am disgusted and will never go back there and think they should be looked into for shady business practices.Desired Settlement: I would like my car to be fixed with no costs to me; I want to take it to another dealer and have them look at it. I do not trust this dealer and will never let them touch my car again. I think they should also be penalized somehow.

IT IS CUSTOMARY FOR THE CUSTOMER TO SET ALL THE INSURANCE INFORMATION UP. AS FAR AS THE TIME IS CONCERNED THE CAR HAD MECHANICAL DAMAGE AS WELL AS BODY DAMAGE THE INSURANCE COMPANY HAD TO COME HERE AND EST THE MECHANICAL DAMAGE THEN GO TO THE BODY AND DO THE BODY EST AS WELL. WE DO NOT GIVE OUT LOANERS FOR BODY WORK BUT IN THIS CASE WE DID GIVE THE CUSTOMER ONE FOR THE LAST 3 WEEKS OF THE REPAIR.

This company has no idea what is going on and no oversight of their service.

Review: On or around 10/28/2015 I entered in to a contract to buy an 2007 [redacted] from Acura of Avon. On or around 11/04/2015 I paid in full for the vehicle. On or around 11/10/15 I took delivery of the vehicle. On or around 12/07/2015 I returned the vehicle because Acura of Avon was unable to produce title for vehicle. As of 12/20/2015 I have not gotten my money back.Desired Settlement: $20,500 vehicle price $728.21 vehicle shipping cost $187.00 Airline Ticket $387.99 Lodging $235.00 fuel.

I have attempted to contact Mr [redacted] numerous times to discuss this issue with not response other than letters from him telling me he was returning the car. I have spoken with Motor Vehicle and let them know that I will refund his purchase price upon receiving the car back via transport the purchase price is what was requested in all other communications. The car arrived on Dec 18th and we are fedexing the certified funds to the address provided by Mr [redacted].

Review: I brought my 2005 Acura TL to Acura of A (AOA) in Canton CT on 8/20/13 at 1:20pm for a routine oil change service. [redacted] was the service advisor that afternoon. I confirmed with [redacted] that my car is in great working order, no leaks, noises, or other issues of concern, however, the right side front indicator light was not working, and I planned to address that another time. [redacted] confirmed that the service would take 45 minutes to 1 hour, and I let him know I would be waiting for my vehicle in the waiting area. 1 hour or so later my car service was complete. The service report invoice had the multi-point vehicle inspection checklist attached, which stated inspections for under the vehicle and under the hood was all ok. I paid $37.74 in total for this service. Upon entering my vehicle, I noticed the engine was running, and the AC was on, which I thought was nice, as it was close to 90 degrees that afternoon. I noticed the AC was not running icy cool like usual, but I just assumed my car was sitting in the 90 degree heat in the service garage area during the service for an hour and maybe needed time to get cooler. At that time I turned it off the AC as I was just driving across the street to the Canton Shops Plaza to run some errands with my child, who was with me. On my way home about a 20 minute drive I noticed the AC still did not get cool, it got more warmer. I decided to leave it off, and the service department was closed at the time or I certainly would have brought my vehicle back to address this. The next morning upon pulling out of my parking space. I noticed leaking on the ground under my vehicle which was unusual, as my car did not have a leaking issue. I contacted the service manager [redacted] on 8/21/13 about the issue. [redacted] stated this may be a coincidence as AC can go out at anytime. I do not believe this is a coincidence. [redacted] states I could bring in the vehicle so AOA service can take a look and see what the problem may be. I am concerned and upset. Help!

Desired Settlement: I am now concerned that there may be some shady service taking place at this establishment. I am fearful that damage is being done to my vehicle in order to incur costs for AOA service department benefits. I pray I am wrong, but this is not a coincidence to me! I would like AOA to replace/repair the AC issue/damage. I noticed the next morning that there is leakage under the hood, and under the vehicle, where there was none before! [redacted] did not apologize for any inconvenience or concerns. **

customer came in for a routine oil change and as we always do we did a multipoint inspection on the vehicle which is a visual inspection.

Acura of Avon got a call from the client stating that the air-conditioner was not working I asked her to bring it right back and we would look at it right away.The costomer said that she also noticed a fluid leak under the car that was not there before the service.(freon that is in the system is a vapor not a liquid). And again I asked her to bring it right back for us to look at it it is possible that it is a coincidence but we can't tell untill we look at it.

I do not accept the response from the service manager. He did not aknowledge the fact that there was no leaking under the vehicle or the hood when I dropped my car off which was verified by the service inspection report Acura of Avon generated and gave to me attatched to my invoice. It is not a coincidence as stated by the service manager, that there was leaking the next day as well as my AC not working (blowing cold) as it was when I gave them my vehicle. The service manager did state I can bring back my vehicle so they could look at it, however, his attitude and tone was nonchalant and dismissive. I am well aware freon evaporates, but there is a possibility the compressor oil was leaking out with it causing the wet puddle spots under the vehicle. The leaks were not there according to their report and I am very observant of my vehicle as I take good care of it.

The service manager never followed up with me nor did he apologize for the issues and my concerns. There was no good faith effort. He is not a good service manager in dealing with customer issues. He is certainly bad for business. I will not be returning for any service nor to purchase a vehicle in the future. I have reported this to several very popular auto and consumer websites. I will continue to post monthly as well as to send letters to all town and local sponsors and will seek out info on who has dealings with this dealership to get the word out. All we consumers want is to trust dealers and service. This service manager will certainly never be so dismissive to customers who contact him with unsatisfactory complaints. He will certainly learn to respect and appreciate our business for without it there is no need for his poor leadership and even worse interactions. I am appalled and regret bringing my vehicle there. I work for the government and will spread the word to help protect other consumers. I have posted this issue in collective bargaining union articles, social media boards, as well as have posted flyers in supermarkets, department stores, college boards, coffee shops, blogs, acura message boards, and so on. I will continue to update them all with the lack of progress and unprofessional attitude of the service manager during our short conversation. Consumers take these things seriously as our hard earned money is nothing to fool around with. I am a hard working tax payinf successful progressive contributing member of society and I deserve better when I come to pay for a service. My hope was fir a competent and complete secure service. Not a hack-job! Thank you Revdex.com for your time and attention to this matter. But the window has passed for this manager to have tried to salvage any opportunity to resolve. I have zero trust in this service department. Which leads me to have zero trust in their establishment all together. I will not trust them with a dead animal. Good day, and good riddens.
