A few days after the repair, *** *** had spoken to Mrs*** on a customer follow up callShe had informed him of the concern*** had asked her to please visit the store to discuss this matter and was told that she would have her husband contact himI have made multiple attempts to
contact Mr*** via telephone.I was able to get contact him via email once.I have pulled all Acura repair guides and reviewed them. There is no need for the use of a mallet for any part of the repair made to Mr*** vehicle. It was a windshield wiper transmission linkage replacement, basically the rod that connects one wiper to the other. I have also inventoried the repairing technicians toolbox for missing mallets as well as pulled his account from *** to see if a replacement mallet was purchased. That being said I can completely understand Mr*** concern ans responded with an email to him detailing the processes that were put into place to avoid any type of this mishap as well as offered Mr*** a few different options in regards to havinghis vehicle completely inspected to assure there was no additional damage done. As of the date of this email, I have not heard back from Mr***.I have informed Mr*** that I am willing to do whatever is necessary to restore his confidence in his vehicle and in Acura of ***.As an act of good faith, we have voided Mr*** check so there was no charge for the initial repair of his vehicle at all. Ref- [redacted].
I have met with all parties involved in this concern at length.
Upon Mr. [redacted] initial contact via phone to purchase an Acura [redacted] from us, Mr. [redacted] did express to us that he had secured approved financing thru [redacted]...

[redacted].He was given the information to submit to his lender. The Customer's credit union would not finance the transaction due to the negative equity of his trade in.  He then visited the dealership and sat with [redacted] to discuss dealer finance options.  [redacted] informed Mr [redacted] that we would pull an inquiry from Acura of [redacted] to submit to the appropriate lenders based on his credit history and credit score.  We currently have over 38 lenders to submit to each with specific approval parameters.  We submitted Mr. [redacted] to [redacted].  Each of those lenders inquired on Mr. [redacted] credit history to dictate risk and if they were willing to grant him approval.  Each lender pulls an inquiry independently, as it is not shared information.  Mr. [redacted] was declined approval from [redacted] and [redacted].  He was approved on a counter offer from Wells Fargo requiring him to put additional money down in order to adjust the loan to value ratio to an acceptable level for them.
It seems that Mr. [redacted] is the victim of a mortgage broker leveraging the inquires for personal financial gain by charging him a higher interest rate and using the inquiries to "justify" this increase.   Please see the attached document in regards to FICO score.  FICO understands that people will shop interest rates on mortgages, automobiles and student loans.
That being said the law states that multiple auto loan inquiries made within a 14 day period will only count as 1 pull.  One pull will usually take approx 5 points off a FICO score.
Attached is the lenders that we submitted Mr. [redacted] to for approval.  Our inquiry as well as the lenders were all conducted the same day, therefor only counting as 1 credit inquiry.
Also attached is the multiple additional reasons a credit score will change.
Aslo attached is the law stating that multiple automobile inquiries made within a 14 day period count as 1 inquiry in regards to FICO scoring.
Acura of [redacted] has done nothing malicious or unprofessional to Mr. [redacted] in any way shape or form.  Again, Mr [redacted] seems to being taken advantage of by a motrgage broker using this "story" of multiple automobile loan inquiries in order to justify a increase in his rate for their personal gain.
If I may be of any further assistance in regards to this matter please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Sincerely,

The mentioned client had exceeded their allotted miles buy over 25,000 miles. The customer chose to re lease another Acura using the same mileage and the same money down . Their payment was virtually the same. We did not roll the excess mileage charge into the lease as it would have increased...

the payment significantly. We did not verbally agree to pay the bill in excess of $3000 either . If we agree or roll such charges it is always well documented as to avoid such situations. We can make recommendations but at the end it is up to the client to decide how they would like to pay for their penalty charges. The price they paid for their lease was in line with our "best price first " format along with running boards that were added to the vehicle . We did let the client know that we would be willing to work with her through Acura to find a solution

Review: I met [redacted] and [redacted] at the dealership regarding the possible purchase of an Acura [redacted]. I had been preapproved for a loan through my credit union, but they wanted to run my credit through Acura because they wanted to finance the loan. After a long back-and-forth agreed that they could run my credit only once. I made it clear I didnt want multiple pulls on my credit, but that is just what they did. I only authorized one pull, not several. Predictably, as a result, my score has gone down. I mentioned that we were also shopping for a mortgage, and we are now in a lower tier.Desired Settlement: Contact every lender and get the unauthorized inquiries removed.

Review: Car was serviced for issue with windshield wipers. Two weeks later while driving in [redacted], the accelerator went to a state of being wide open - by itself. My son, who was driving, was able to stop the car and turn off the ignition. My son contacted me and I was forced to leave a business event to assist him. Attempted to start the car and again, the accelerator was wide open. The following morning, I arranged to have the car towed back to Acura of [redacted]. The two truck mechanic looked under the hood and pulled out a snap-on mallet, which was clearly left there by the Acura of [redacted] mechanic two weeks prior. The car was driven for two week with a large mallet floating around in the engine compartment and it finally wedged itself against the throttle. I was able to drive the car home, however my son and two daughters who were also in the car at the time were terrified and afraid to use the car. On Saturday, January 10th, I attempted to contact the service manager at Acura of [redacted] but did not receive a return call. From January 12 - January 13th I have left three voice message for the General Manager at Acura of [redacted], but have not received a return call.Desired Settlement: I'm afraid the negligence on the part of the Acura of [redacted] mechanic may may have caused additional damage to my car. I would like to have the car evaluated and serviced by another provider and would like Acura of [redacted] to cover any and all expenses. I would also like Acura of [redacted] to institute a formal process to be sure this never happens again. Luckily, their negligence did not cause any personal injury or death, but if left unchecked it could easily result in a tragedy sometime in the future.
