Acura of Denville Reviews (3)

I went in for a complimentary oil change on my new TLX and informed them that the rear passenger tire is a couple of lbs low on air. Next thing I know I am told that it has a nail in the sidewall and cannot be repaired. So I need a new tire = $200! Had a strange feeling about this which was confirmed when another service person came by and accidentally started to inform me that 2 of the tires in my car have a nail! She had meant to talk to another owner. Seems to me that this is a standard business rip off practice at the dealership. So I decided to checkout if others had similar experiences on Facebook and lo and behold I was not alone. I am about to write directly to Acura of USA. These guys are running quite a scam!!!

Review: Purchased used car on 10/17/13. Traded my car in. Was given a temp plate that expired on 11/5/13 and told as soon as I get to CT get a vin verification and send it back to dealer, which I did. I waited until Friday the 1st of November and heard nothing about my registration, so

I called Acura of Denville. I spoke with [redacted], the Finance manager, about my temporary plate that was to expire on 11/5/13. He at that time told me to keep driving the car as it was registered and if we were to get pulled over the police could run the vin number and see our new CT registration. He said we are only waiting for the plate to come in the mail. On November 6th I was contacted by my original salesmen requesting a stamp from my local tax office. I asked how could this be needed since the car was already registered. He replied, "the car is not registered". I went to the tax office, supplied the dealership with this newly requested information and stopped driving the car. At that time I was told that the registration would be processed and I should have my plates within 7-10 days. I asked to speak with a manager. [redacted], the used car manager was who I then spoke to. I told him what was going on and he was anything but polite. I of course was concerned that I am now paying for a car that could not be driven. I strongly requested a rental car. He told me he would check into it, which he never did or if he did he never got back to me. He told me that if I was demanding a rental car then it would not happen. I told him it needed to happen because I could not drive the car purchased from them. He told he "if I paid my taxes this would not have been a problem". He insisted that the problems registering this car were not with the dealership.Desired Settlement: I would first like my CT registration that I have paid for completed. Then I would like to be compensated the lost time of using my newly purchased car. Monthly payment plus insurance on the car workers out to $12 per day beginning November 7, 2013 and ending on the day I finally get my CT registration in hand.

Response:

I believe since our previous communications that is everything has been resolved.

Review: First off I'll start by saying that I live in the Virgin Islands. I saw there listing on auto-trader and they were selling for 2011 Acura RDX. I spoke with [redacted] and in the beginning everything was nice and smooth, so I sent my payment for the vehicle which was $18,800. After sending my payment I realized that in 1 of the pictures the vehicle was damaged on the quarter panel which was never mention in the description or during my communication with them. I demanded some pictures of the damaged area which they were denying in the beginning, telling me that that was an old picture an the damage is not there anymore. Feel uncomfortable with there honesty and waiting 2 day and not receiving any pictures I told them that I wanted a refund. They agreed to give me back my refund without any arguments. I was told it can take 2 weeks for me to get my money back.which was not a problem but now 2 weeks later there there telling me I have to wait another week which is frustrating to me cause they have there car and still my money.they also told me the truth about the damage saying that it's in the shop getting repaired at to moment if I am still interested in it. I just want my money back it's been long enough and I haven't received my refund.Desired Settlement: I would like my funds to be wired back to me as I wired it to them
