Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
I will be contacting Mr*** *** of *** Acura this week and see what he has to say regarding my complaintAfter speaking with him I will let you know the outcomeThank you
Sincerely,
*** ***

I am responding to Mr***'s follow up email. I was out of the office when Mr*** placed a call to meHe left message on 4/7/at 10:am. I have attached the original purchase orders for the 1st vehicle Mr *** purchased, as well as the purchase orders for the exchanged vehicle Mr*** selected
The original Hand Written purchase order signed by Mr *** shows a selling price of $for the vehicle, and $in add on accessories Mr *** selected to have installed. The sub total listed is for $which is what the total is on the 2nd Typed purchase order. The Next set of purchase orders were from when Mr *** decided to exchange his vehicle, and the original selling price of the *** of $is the trade allowance reflected on the purchase order which was the full price of the vehicle that Mr*** originally purchasedOn the typed purchase order for the *** that Mr*** exchanged his car for shows the full trade allowance as well
We are not trying to be difficult, however allowing a customer to return to exchange a vehicle that they are not happy with is exactly what we didMr *** was given the full price of the car itself as credit and that is what we agree to do as an organization.
If the files do not come through, please respond with a contact fax number so that I may send them over again
Thank you

Review: On 9/17/2013 I went to Acura of Milford to discuss my end of lease options. I had been in touch via email with [redacted], one of the salesman there, my appointment was at 12:30. They were going to buy out my lease and I was purchasing another vehicle. I disclosed to them that the car had been in a minor accident. When they offered me a really low offer for my trade I questioned it and was told that because I had a bad car fax report, my trade value would be at least 20% below book value. I was there for 4 and 1/2 hours while we went round and round about this bad car fax. [redacted] also told me that they would not be able to sell the car and it would have to go to auction because they could not sell a car with a bad car fax. So I felt no choice but to accept the deal, I had to put in $4500 to make up the shortfall, since my lease buyout was a lot more than I was getting for my trade. Days after I picked up my new vehicle, I looked on their website and not only saw my former car there listed for sale, but with a clean car fax!!! It was listed higher that book value and in excellent condition, no mention of the accident . I was very upset, clearly I had been swindled. The car fax was indeed not bad, they had every intention on reselling the car and making a good profit. They told me they would loose out due to the bad car fax. If I had known the car fax was good, I would never have accepted their low offer. I feel they said whatever they had to too make the deal. I spoke with the general manager who was rude and accused me of making it all up because I wanted my old car back!!!!! He said I received a good deal and should be happy and that he believed his salesman who obviously denied the whole thing. To make matters worse, the vehicle I purchased, a 2011 MDX, is already due for an oil change! I've only had it two weeks! And I still have dealer plates because they didn't have the title it couldn't be registered.Desired Settlement: I would like a partial refund of the money I had to put down to offset the gap in the trade in. I feel that knowing the carfax was good they should have given me at least $2000 more than they did.

Review: On January 10,2015, I purchased a certified used 2012 [redacted] from [redacted] Acura of [redacted]. for $ 37,330.12. After picking up the car I took the car home to my wife who stated the vehicle smells like cigarette smoke. My wife and son are both allergic to cigarette smoke, so the vehicle would not be any good to my family. I didn't smell the smoke when I purchased the vehicle, but when I got home, I did agree with my wife that it had a severe smoke smell. I called the salesman [redacted] who I had purchased the car from and told him about the issue. I returned the vehicle on Janurary 13,2015 three days later. I told him I was going to take advantage of [redacted] 10-dayexchange policy on certified used vehicles, which states "if you are not satisfied, for any reason, within the first 10 days or 500 miles of the delivery of qualified pre-owned Acura of [redacted] just bring it back. You can exchange it for any vehicle of equal value or greater value from our inventory. Please ask sales consultant for a copy of terms associated with this used car exchanged policy". Acura of [redacted] would only credit me $34,988.00 for this vehicle after paying $37,330.12 for it, stating that it's considered a trade in vehicle and they would be taking a loss on the vehicle. That is a loss of $2342.00. I ended up purchasing a new vehicle from them because they had nothing in their used vehicle invertory, that I was interesed in. [redacted] Acura of [redacted] advertises in the news paper, on the internet, brochures and notices in there dealership regarding this exchange policy. I believe they did something to cover up the smoke smell in this vehicle, because when I retured the vehicle the sales mangager stated "oh we can bomb this vehicle again". Acura of [redacted] was not happy when I returned this vehicleDesired Settlement: I believe that should have been given full credit for this vehicle when I returned the it, not a partial credit. I should get a refund of $2342.00 for the vehicle and $449.00 for the second dealer conveyance fee I had to pay, for a total of $2791.00

Response:

[redacted], my name is [redacted] and I filled a complaint several weeks ago against [redacted] Acura and my case is #[redacted]. I responded back to your organization this week, stating that I was going to call the General Manager [redacted], this week to discuss my case, as he stated in his response to contact him regarding this matter. I’ve have called Mr. [redacted] and he will not return my calls. He stated in his response that I did get full credit for the purchase, that is not true. I didn’t receive the full credit for the vehicle I returned and I have the bill of sale to prove this despite what he stated about the options. Thank you

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: this is not true I didnt receive the full amount toward the returned vehicle dispite what the dealer is saying. I waited for four hours in there waiting room, for a copy of the conditions for returned vehicles and they couldn't produce this document. I think in good faith they should offer me some sort of compensation. As stated before, I had to purcahse a new vehiclle and they also made me pay the sticker price on the vehicle because thy knew I didnt have very many options.

Sincerely,
